You should watch the movie, it's a good one. It's about a man who wants to avenge his father's murder and he's ready to become a villain himself to get his revenge. So Holi is pronounced as Hoe+ Lee...just like you pronounce Holy, and the red powder is called Sindoor or gulal, which are mostly used for the worship of Lord Ganesh, and Sindoor or the red poweder is worn by Indian women as a sign of marriage in the very middle partings of their hair, I guess y'all might have noticed it, so the powder is very significant in Hinduism and all the Hindu festivals...
The huge fire lanterns are called Aarti, offered to the Gods and Goddesses signifies a form of light to remove the darkness around.
