A few months ago I needed to replace my starter, I knew I could have done it myself but did not. This video would have prompted me to dive in. Great video

When my starter failed my local dealership told me to just have it rebuild because a new one would cost too much money plus labor. Ended up having it rebuilt for super cheap. Whats interesting is mine is the base model and my starter had a heat shield attached to it. It all came out as 1 piece.

This Guy is awesome, if you don't know him, follow him and his website, hes amazing and very informative, and most of the people on his Site are super helpful too, but you can also ask him questions and he'll answer them when he can, hes actually on a mission now, hes so selfless its ridiculous!! Love this guy!!

Did exactly this yesterday and it took 30 minutes - start to finish (set up to clean up) ... even though I took an extra 10 mins to clean other stuff around the area while I was down there.
Keep up the Excellent videos & Thank You Sir!

Now that there are really few of these models and they have become valuable, such information is worth its weight in gold. Thanks good job.

Have you experienced the click no crank/start problem? Could be loose/dirty connection on the smaller wire to starter solenoid.
New starter is very inexpensive at rockauto. The old '70s & earlier GM starters weigh a hell of a lot more & are HUGE! lol

I have watched a LOT of your videos. They are very helpful. I have seen your videos on how to remove almost everything. Everything except the engine. Do you have a video for that? Thanks

Thanks for everything you do on your channel. My son bought his 3000GT @ 14. We utilized this video today to get the starter out. Pretty simple process. @ the beginning of the video, you say you have a starter rebuild video. I was unable to locate this one. Can you link it in the description?

I remember doing the video but I do not edit or upload them myself so I'm afraid that you will have to scan through them again or go onto my forum and ask members if they know which one it is.
      Sorry

Hello, I’m one of your subscribed. My 1993 3000GT VR4 the rear back drive side brake is locked now. Also it’s been parked for 3 years now. The car starts fine. What could cause that to locked up? Any answers would be appreciated. Thanks, and have a wonderful safe day everyday.

This is very common on cars that have been stood up for any time. You can usually remove the wheel and hit the hub with a mallet to free the stuck brake. Once it is free, you can remove the hub to clean inside and check condition of brakes.

Just about any autoparts store should be able to help or you could have the old one serviced.

Omg take that bra off the car! Such a beautiful car but car bras just make it look your front bumper hasn’t been painted and ruin the paint underneath overtime.
