I assume the engine is idling while you are resetting the light?

gojoe283 The engine was running when I did this, but you just need the ignition in the ON position. See description in video for full instructions.

The service screen pops up and doesn't allow me to use the knob to scroll through anymore. I can only be on the oil life screen for a couple seconds before it switches to service past due screen.

I was struggling with this yesterday (even though i successfully reset many many times), be sure to follow exactly as dial2fast has described, press for 10 seconds, then press once again when flashing on maintenance minder screen, then press again holding for 5 seconds and it will reset.

Venkat Reddy Yes you can, but just don't reset and not change your oil.

What happens if the oil life doesn’t even pop up on the screen...not even when I use the knob on the right of the shifter...the menu doesn’t give an option for oil life

Your Odyssey’s oil life reset is in the infotainment center screen under vehicle settings
