Ah, I understand! You certainly not the first person to tell me that, but I hope the videos go some way to convincing you that there's more to it than you might first see. I think it's amazing!! Glad the videos have been helping 😀
Hi William - planning on producing a few videos related to this hopefully before the exams, including essay writing, so look out for those. Are there any types of questions you particularly would like me to focus on?
@@BearitinMIND no questions specifically except maybe 4 and 16 but i was more concerned on how to maximise my time and hit all marking points without being limited at lower levels
Hope you are finding the videos helpful. Sadly I won’t get to those before the summer. Just about to finish biopsychology and then will be starting issues and debates 👍
there was also a case very briefly mentioned in the book about a US politician (guns control activist), she was shot in the left frontal lobe and it damaged her brocas area, after a miraculous recovery, her right hemisphere begun to produce language. in the mock, my teacher didnt give me marks for this, so should i not mention it in the final exam? As evidence for brain plasticity
I know the case you are referring to. It certainly is an example of brain plasticity and the ability of the brain to recover it's function. Perhaps your teacher is suggesting that because there are so many other well known cases and pieces of research to use that are more well known, it would be more effective to include these in your answers for the exam to ensure your score marks.
Good question. Yes you can - that would count as your AO1 (knowledge & understanding of brain plasticity and functional recovery). It would be some great terminology to include. Very helpful too if given an application essay or short question where you need to specifically show how someone may be able to recover from a brain injury.
Because of contralateral organisation of the brain (the left side of the brain controls the right side of the body, and the right side of the brain controls the left side of the body). So they kept all the participants as right handed to control for any subsequent changes in brain structure as a result (controlling for an extraneous variable).
I'm sorry to hear of the difficult experiences you've had and the pain you've suffered. I'm certainly not an expert on benzodiazepines and brain recovery/plasticity, but you may find the following a helpful starting point: ruclips.net/video/9UZv0wyqGZM/видео.html theencinodetoxcenter.com/can-the-brain-recover-from-benzodiazepines/ www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC10309976/

bro is literally saying that playing genshin impact might not be that much of a time waste ... 👀
😂
For an essay on just functional recovery or brain plasticity can I include how the brain can change due to neuronal unmasking and axonal sprouting

Why did Maguire use right handed taxi drivers? And not left or both
