    Your videos are so very helpful. I struggle with a very short attention span and get easily distracted and I can't rely on books alone for revision but you help me understand and comprehend it all. Ty very much

    hello sir! this question came up today and I was so happy because i remembered every detail from this video so so vividly and it really helped me for the 16 marker. I just wanted to say a big thank you for your videos they are so different and so much more interesting than other boring psychology videos I’ve watched because of the little jokes/ memes in between! I was wondering if you could please make some videos on paper 3 as it would help me so so much… I honestly don’t know much on it and the topics I do are schizophrenia, aggression and gender. anything would be appreciated but I want to say thank you for being so helpful 🙏🏼

      Hi Ayesha. Delighted you found the video helpful for that question 😊 and so pleased you've many of the videos engaging and helpful to your learning. Thanks for the kind feedback. In terms of Paper 3 videos, Issues and Debates should be out in time (hopefully!) but I'm sure you'll appreciate that it takes along time to make a video so sadly won't be able to get to any of the option topics.

    Glutathione is a redox buffer that regulates ATP production in the mitochondria. I have been using liposomal glutathione for about 20 months now. I "suck" 2 - 4ml in the morning and I find that my REM sleep is greatly improved. I used to wake at 4am and not go back to sleep, now I awaken after 7 - 8 hours of nutritious sleep, usually after an imaginative dream. I'm trying to spread the word, I want people to study this simple treatment further

    Thank you for this video, could we be asked a 16 mark question on disruption to circadian rhythms eg jet lag and shift work? I have been taught it but it doesnt explicitly say on the spec

    • @BearitinMIND
      @BearitinMIND  6 месяцев назад +1

      No you couldn't get asked a question that direct and specific because it is not named on the specification. If you have come across a question like that before it's from an old specification. Perhaps they could give you an application scenario for you to apply your knowledge of biological rhythms to it, but that's different. You can expect to get a question on any of the rhythms though, including something as specific as "endogenous pacemakers and exogenous zeitgebers in the sleep/wake cycle" - because that phrase is on the specification.

    hello sir! could we counter the chipmunks study by saying that the death of the operated chipmunks could have been due to post operative negative effects such as infections or even bleeding that could have occured after surgery,, therefore chipmunks died either due to infection or thier bleeding making predators more easier to find? if yes how ould we link it? tysm :)

    • @BearitinMIND
      @BearitinMIND  6 месяцев назад

      Potentially yes, because in essence you are writing about potential extraneous variables - but make your life easier. Criticise the research in terms of generalisability (animal to human research) BUT you must make sure to link any criticism back to the question asked (i.e. circadian rhythms) otherwise you won't score marks.
      Hope that helps.

    Hi I have a question. In regards to Siffre’s cave experiment there’s conflicting dates online, also different locations. Could you clarify when and where this experiment was taken?
    I’ve seen 1972 and 1962 so not sure which is correct .

    • @BearitinMIND
      @BearitinMIND  28 дней назад +1

      That's because he did more it more than once. He first did it in 1962, and then he did it again in 1972 in a cave in Texas. See the links in the description for more, specifically this article: www.cabinetmagazine.org/issues/30/foer_siffre.php

    Sir for the biological rhythms how many eval points do we need to know for each

    • @BearitinMIND
      @BearitinMIND  Месяц назад

      Good question. Firstly, focus in quality over quantity (well structured, explained and linked). After that aim for x3 which includes discussion (for and against/strengths and limitations). If time add a fourth. Hope that helps.

    I don’t understand what you mean by “cycles are longer than 24 hours” maybe I’ve watched a video ahead
    😅 Thank u have a beautiful talent for teaching psychology

    • @BearitinMIND
      @BearitinMIND  26 дней назад +2

      Good question. In the context of the video, the circadian rhythm is thought to have a cycle of 24 hours (this means to complete one cycle, to complete one time through the rhythm). In the case of the sleep/wake cycle, it is thought that one cycle/rhythms of sleep/wake takes 24 hours (in Siffre's case this changed).
      For another example, with infradian rhythms (menstrual cycle), it takes approximately 28 days to complete one cycle (from start to finish).
      Hope that answers your question. Glad you're enjoying the channel - appreciate your kind and encouraging words😊

    Is there even a way to cure insomnia or waking up every few minutes? I feel like my sleep is getting lesser everyday and doing that while holding up a job 😂 I'm starting to lose my mind.

    • @BearitinMIND

      I can relate! There are so many factors in sleep, it can be hard to figure out what's going on, and it can take time to help you body resynchronise. Would recommend the following video/podcasts if you've not seen them before.
