For as monstrous as Touya has become, I feel like it’s only fair for the family to be the ones to ultimately save him from getting himself killed completely. And it was just in the nick of time too, since Endeavor had already given up on him yet again. There’s a lot of complicated feelings happening here, and I honestly wasn’t expecting the whole family to end up on the battlefield, but hey, it’s finally time for Touya to get the attention he’s deserved all this time.
@@ririri88 I’d say he gave up. After Touya came to face him he said like, a couple things to him, realized it wasn’t working, and then seemed it all a lost cause and was about to let Touya and himself die. His options were limited for sure, but he didn’t really reach out to Touya like he set out to do and had mom not been there, I wouldn’t really say anything went well. Luckily the day was mostly saved.
@@natsuotodorokihe tried to give him the final blow/coup the grace to end his suffering. He knows Touya is dying and can’t be saved. This is the hardest thing about having a family member who’s terminal. You want them to survive but at the same time you don’t want them to suffer anymore. What you gonna do in that situation ? It’s so difficult By saving him from blowing up they bought him more time but now he’s going to die a slow painful death Let’s hope Enji will be able to tell him everything he couldn’t tell him before. There is not much time left.
@@ririri88 I think when it comes to terminal family members, if they’re still conscious especially, the worst thing one can do is treat them like they’re no longer a person. Touya isn’t gone just yet. He recognized mom’s voice and was even speaking. So it’s not really a matter of what Endeavor wants for Touya, it’s a matter of what Touya wants and needs as his own person. Otherwise, Endeavor’s treatment of Touya is hardly different than how he treated him as a kid. Back then, one of his many problems as a parent was that he didn’t properly listen to Touya or take the time to understand what it was he needed. It’s a very difficult kind of situation for sure, but considering what’s best for Touya, and especially atoning for what happened with Touya in the past, this was a case of bad judgement on Endeavor’s part.

I don’t think endeavor gave up on him. This time he was ready to face Touya and die for his sins. If Rei hadn’t stopped him they both would have died.
