What a great in-depth commercial for a fishmonger in San Diego! Here on the East Coast we just taught our distributors how to do things. I'm glad I only watched a few moments of this.
Getting mine today! Going to have sashimi on Friday for my friend's birthday. Just picked up my Minonokuni Blue Steel Yanagiba knife this morning and I'll be finish sharpening it later. Can't wait to break it in on some nice cuts of fish!
Thanks so much for everything you continue to post. I find your channel to be such a great pleasure. Hiro is a true master and I'm very happy for your success.
i love cat offshore, im from san diego and go there 2-3 times a month. by far the best place we have on he west coast. TOMMY IS THE MAN, he needs to start making youtube videos again. i could not believe my eyes when i saw Hiro in my favorite shop. LOL
You guys are great and it's awesome that you really care about the fans, I'm going to order this week and attempt to make something from the "how to" vids I think the rice will be the hardest to get right. Not that any of its easy ...Salud from Denver!!
I watched tommy wiping his hands after touching every fish. That's really where a lot of people fail in sanitation. Learned something new about halibut. These videos are very educational. As always great job on video.
Yoi tsuitachi, Mr. Terada!!! Wonderful videos and information. Can you let me know when to see the continuation of the Catalina Offshore video?? Anata to anata ni kōun o inorimasu.
Brilliant video, very entertaining and educational! I would love to live close by San Diego, I was there a long time ago but was not interested in sushi yet ;/ I´d order there any day, the fish and see food looks stunning. Unfortunatelly, Catalina OP does not ship to Germany, so I have to continue my process of finding a adequate fish mongere here.
Thanks so much for sharing this with us all. I would go absolutely broke in that place if i lived near there. Being a Native of Long Island New york and being surrounded by water all my life i miss fresh fish. Now living in Middle Georgia where its like Africa and no water around i am missing those things. I been in Love with sushi since the early 90's and now i look forward to maybe spoiling myself to some fresh fish delivered by this company. So i can have a Sushi night. Once again Thanks for the awesome tour and sharing. Also Thanks for the discount code. Hope it still works.
I live so close to this store, and I am so glad I found this video but I have to purchase only on line ? I want to know if you have the soft shell crab and also I am looking for lobster tails. thanks
So I only have: Walmart Costco Sams Club Whole Food Reasors Which should I buy from to eat raw for sushi and sashimi? And farm caught or wild? And which type of fish.
About 1% of cabrilla groupers metamorphose into a golden phase, which is then referred to as golden grouper or golden cabrilla. That's the bright yellow fish you saw on the video.
@@DiariesofaMasterSushiChef they honored it, and free shipping. I live in the Chicago area. I'll have to send you photos of my first attempt at making sushi.
What about the people who say farm raised salmon is more prone to infection and parasites? A lot of people spread that information around. Sounds kind of "fishy" to me...
Not necessarily it's just kind of a precautionary thing just to eliminate any bacteria that could be there even though as long as it's fresh it's probably perfectly fine to eat raw unfrozen
Couldn't use your promo code. Upon entering code it would say unable to ship to your address. Then if I deleted the code the address would magically reappear. Thought you should know. If the fish is as good as they say I'll be ordering again so maybe next order the promo will eork.
what's the minimum purchase for delivery? I'm the only person who eats sushi in my house and I dont mind purchasing and eating 1 pound of raw fish to myself.
I question the quality of a couple of the fish! Some freeze burn on one and some of the halibuts looked a little roughed up but the guy has a good set up, the hiramasa had great skin and eyes, looked very very fresh!! but its a business they have to make money so beggars in some instance cant be choosers! Good video as always Charlie!
I live in New Zealand, I am quite shocked that the price for NZ salmon is more expensive than imported price in U.S. Feeling ripped off by local fisheries and groceries store now.
Now we know how Hiro is finally doing, "Very very good"
Great visit guys ! Giving me some ideas for different fish to try !
What a great in-depth commercial for a fishmonger in San Diego! Here on the East Coast we just taught our distributors how to do things. I'm glad I only watched a few moments of this.

19:44 - Was anyone else instantly thinking how awesome a snow cone would be right now?
I live so close to this store, and I am so glad I found this video but I have to purchase only on line ? I want to know if you have the soft shell crab and also I am looking for lobster tails. thanks
There's just something about that salmon that makes it look so good.
What is the cameraman's favourite word?
- Amazing!

wow, yhis guy knows his fishes... I'd buy from him when I get back in the states
Man... I wish my city had something like this too but our local fish market place has only basic fresh ingredients, the rest is in the frozen section.

Wish we had a place like that in Houston
Anything in Corpse Christ perhaps?

Can we use the code more than once?
Great operation, but this seems to be a advertisement for that showcased source. Maybe a standard from a front store appearance.
great video
Thank you again for being here :)
Today I learned that halibut and twix are essentially the same!
Amaebi and uni so good
Hi hiro we missed u 🤗🤗🤗🤗
When you are away from coastlines, fresh ocean fish becomes hard to come by. That Chilean sea bass, I want to make miso-yaki sea bass out of it.
Please Hiro! Could you make the camera man do a face reveal for 500,000 subscribers special.
+Dani Hermans or like cow and chicken's parents, he only have legs
Im done 😂^

+Hiroyuki Terada - Diaries of a Master Sushi Chef Thank you for your quick and thorough response. Really enjoy the videos, don't mind the haters.
The fishmonger showed dates on the boxes of June 16th 2016. But the video was uploaded on July 24th. That's a long while.

That makes a bit more sense, the shop does remind me of local fish shops that we have here too, minus the variety here.
Thanks for your response :)
