...No he is completely fucked up. alcoholic with mental disorder and his playing is terrible. Orianthi beats him by far and I was a Sambora fan... long time ago... Sambora is just an arrogant asshole...
The finish on 59's only fade when exposed to ultra violet light, if the guitar was kept in the case or rarely exposed to UVL it will not fade. That said any guitar with nitro finish will fade some in smokey bars and or when exposed to UVL. I've worked in vintage guitar stores since the 70's an have seen many examples of non-faded 58,59's or at least slightly faded 58,59's (the changed the paint in 60) Check out Tom Wittrock's collection sometimes I've seen those guitars since the 70's and many have retained their glorious original sunburst color. Look him up he has video's on youtube
You're right. It has to be a re-issue and he's just too high to say it was. Sad to see Ritchie messed up like that. He should make amends with Bon Jovi and go sober. Then maybe he could find an original 59' and make the folks happy.
@@Panic42000 oh he can afford one but that is just not a real ‘59. Not because he can’t afford it but because that is in way too good of condition and the flames... it’s very obviously a reissue or it would be very well known... like The Beast, Pearly Gates, Jimmy Page’s #2... etc. If that was a real ‘59, there is no way he’d have it out on tour. Even Slash’s replica 59 is studio only.
I think guitars are comparable with cars. While some prefer the classics such as the E Type Jaguar or the AC Cobra, Ford GT40 etc, (usually, but not limited to those that lived through that era), others prefer the Bugati Veyron or the Mclaren F1 or Ferrari Enzo etc. While the classics still look, sound and perform beautiful in a unique way, if you put it up against a modern super car with the right driver then it wouldn’t stand a chance! But that is not to say that the classics aren’t the badgers nadgers too!
I watched a few of their videos and I find them hard to take. Her with her "too cool" shades and hat combo and him with his unfunny drunken comments. I guess they're right for each other.
Just commenting on whether this is a "real" 59. I am not an expert but my visceral impression, at first glance, was that it was not a real 59. Don't know why and I am sure that I am wrong but that was my first impression.
+1800NoFault ..agreed, it looks to "red" for a 59. 59s were very honey burst, and no red. Still like to have this Les Paul though!! Are they drunk by the way??
1800NoFault exactly my thoughts!! It’s either a True Historic or a 59 that was NEVER played before he bought it! The flames are way too bright and it’s just way too perfect to be a real 59 Les Paul
Paweł Marcinkiewicz It lets you have the tail piece closer to the body so you get more sustain and is more flush with the bridge so is less likely for the string to break. I know that Joe Bonamassa does it so oes Billy Gibons.
+THINCOVER It also avoids unwanted vibrations when a string touches the tailpiece. Gives it more overall stability. All my stoptail guitars are set up like this \m/
That '59 looks way too clean to be real, but it must be, or maybe Richie bought it when he was drunk, as he usually is and it seems he is in this video. Also, that bridge pickup is new too.
@@Panic42000 true story. Richie's life might have gone off the rails at some point, but the guy is a legit guitar player. The stuff on the first three Jovi albums has as much greatness as anything in that era. Richie's playing was solid back then, and he's Definitely earned his street cred.
If you mean "Is he fucking her"?, yes, yes they've been a thing for 3 years now. What she sees in his old drunk ass I'll never know. He has lost so many fans since he left Bon Jovi. He had a persona and the girls loved it just like they loved the way Jon mingles with them. It's part of being a rock star. Thankfully Bon Jovi no longer has to worry about anyone being drunk or wasted because they are rock solid. Phil X and Hughie McDonald have filled out the band as seen in their first single as a group. "This house is not for sale". The video about the making of it is insightful as well.
Reymond Agpaoa Twice he filled in on a tour for Richie, he deserved to be the new guitar player because he has the talent. Filling in for a famous and well loved right hand man to the boss would be a tough spot to fill but he over filled it in an epic way. Something I learned myself a long time ago is that we are all replaceable. Richie was so popular as a member of Bon Jovi, I still miss seeing him and Jon up front, doing crazy shit on stage, but that is done and I still love Bon Jovi. I don't hate Richie, I just hate how he walked away from the band at the worst possible moment. So that makes me very happy that Phil was able to make that move.
I love richie sambora he is the one who inspired me to take a guitar and play it. But i agree to you man, for me richie made a wrong decision leaving bon jovi. He is old his voice is out of tune sometimes and his playing style suits on bon jovi not on the path that he's walking now ( w/ orianthi ). i like phil x his a better player than richie :) and funny too like richie hehe
Yes they were a couple and since Richie left ,Bon Jovi lost the Engine of the Band ! Such a great guitar Player Who played with Giants like Clapton Page or B B King just to Name a few . Now he is doing his own stuff .
I never see Orianthi playing rhythm? She busts out very average, cliché solos. Has Ritchie stopped drinking? His live playing has suffered lately and he looks hammered all the time? No disrespect, he's a great musician when he's sober.
ritchie ho my god, cant you just clean your fingernails, . this guy is a wreck, doesnt even care to have a shower before being filmed with a young lady to his side. now i understand why he's not in bon jovi anymore. ho by the way, it's a superb 59 les paul, very clean condition, cleaner than the owner
Aaaaaaaaaand Richie's hammered.....uuuuuuuuugain. This is about as cringie as it gets, folks. Reminds of that scene from the series "Rome" when Cleopatra realizes how ridiculous they've been pretending to be Isis and Osirus.
This is old but I hope Richie comes clean, he's looking like a clown and killing his legacy. Staying at home doing nothing would be 1 million times better than these none sense public appearances.
Very sad to see Richie in this shape :( Hope he gets better soon! Come on Richie! Pull yourself together mate! Get cleaned up!!!!!!
What's wrong with him? He seems pretty fine to me. He looks happy!
...No he is completely fucked up. alcoholic with mental disorder and his playing is terrible. Orianthi beats him by far and I was a Sambora fan... long time ago... Sambora is just an arrogant asshole...
Anliker Consulting Your opinion ... no big deal.

Unfortunately it's a fact.
Why do you think he was booted from Bon Jovi

That probably one of the cleaner 59s i've ever seen

That's because it's obviously not a real 1959
Snake Plissken Because he can’t afford one? Are you serious?

I don't think so, they broke up like 4 years ago lmao

+1800NoFault has too much color. looks like a 60

HAMMERED!! LOL

is that the 59 les paul used in their london 1995 concert especially the one used in guitar solo of Always.
i dont think so, cause he said the he bought it 5 years ago.
Thats a beautiful guitar he used on that concert
On you Richie, so cool when you are playing solo, without John!!
Interesting strins setup on the bridge :) Anybody tried ? Does it sond better ?

Richey sounds wasted but you've got to love him
It's not a 59 for sure
That is a real burst. There's a video of the burst in the shop he got it from

and to think she left ALICE COOPER'S BAND to record with this goof !!!! does anyone really take him serious ...... Integrity ...lol...
patrick fallon His bank account is serious. He’s played music all around the world and made millions of dollars. What have you done?

Headstock shape looks off...too sharp on the corners?
Maybe its made in china

Richie is acting like he has a few missing chromosomes. Back to Earth Richie. And this chick is about as good as a 1 year youtube guitar player.
Despond Wow! You’re stupid!! Let’s hear you play? Post a video.
Not a 59. Maybe a 60. Unless that thing was in the case its whole life
Oh yeah One year is going to make a difference
"has a lot of integrity" The kind of bull shit you say when u dont know what else to say xP
Regardless whether it’s real 59 or a fake, CHANGE those strap locks to the Dunlop’s! Never trust Schallers!
I never see Orianthi playing rhythm? She busts out very average, cliché solos.
Has Ritchie stopped drinking? His live playing has suffered lately and he looks hammered all the time?
No disrespect, he's a great musician when he's sober.
...and not a single note was played on a video about guitars. Man I hate wasting my life on these things!
if I was rich id have 56 to 60 best yearsand one peter Frampton les paul
Please tell me that's a replica or reissue '59... can't bear the thought of a real '59 being in the hands of him
Paradox no Fucking question it’s a True Historic or reissue DEFINITELY not a real 59
looks like a replica to me not a real 59.. even though Richie has owned the real thing I don't think this is it,, nice guitar though no doubt..
Lol, Richie got chablis mouth, orianthe got purty mouth.
Do you need that appearance to play guitar?
Drunks ought to lay down and pass out verses make idiots of themselves on You Tube....

I thought the same thing! Take a shower!
they sound amazing but seriously Arianti won lotto thousands of shredders way better..she cant stop posing either
#2Frunk2Duck
Looks like fake to me.
What a bunch'a bollox.....
I'd take that PRS over the LP anyday
Richie seems like a weird dude, weird people make the best music.
She could most likely play the skin flute better then that guitar

Filthy fingernails 😕
Richie is so god damn wasted!
God this is pathetic.
