You people obviously don't know how anything works. They aren't going to shut it down because the signs automatically exempt the city (assuming both the beach and airport are owned by the city) from all liability. That's like shutting down a busy road just because someone got ran over.
I understand how traumatic this was for The family of this woman and I'm sure the people around when it happened as well, but this is something those people chose to do. There is plenty of time for them to walk to a safe spot and get away from the blast of the jet engines. Instead they chose to stand behind it. It's like people who do cliff jumping into the ocean and then get mad when someone has an accident and hurt themselves. It's horrible, extremely sad, and heart wrenching. But at the same time people need to remember that they're not invincible and to be careful in the situations they put themselves in.
gravity is a lie. anything that is less dense than air goes up. and anything that is more dense than air goes down. the more dense the more is goes down. we call it weight. we can measure this. gravity, you cannot measure. a big steel ship can float in the ocean because of the air inside the boat creates a thing called Buoyancy. if the boat was full of steel it would sink. like a pebble tossed into the ocean will not float. its because the density of the pebble is more dense than water. gravity is a lie

And most people don't cross that beach when a liner is approaching. You step in front of a car an you die. Planes are quite similar. Ask the Japanese coastguard plane that parked on the touch down zone of an approaching A350. Nothing remotely aircraft like remained of that plane and it was big. It's just described as small because the A350 is giant.
People won’t stop, so either they have to make it so people can’t even be behind it (like filling in the area they are standing) or making it all sandy so they don’t die when they fall. One or the other, but when it’s setup like that people will take the risk and sometimes pay for it

Well, to be fair, flying cars isn't the best idea. A car could malfunction and send someone too far up and get the driver killed, and if there would be highways in the sky, you would have to have society learn how to adapt to such a change, which could take years, so we would have to master building flying cars years beforehand, and when most of humanity is rich enough to buy their own flying car, what do we do with all the roads and highways in the world? lol

well how stupid are humans umm my lawn mower has a warning sign to not put your foot or hands under while blades turning that should answer most of your question
I'll be honest, I blame the copycat effect. The sign says not to, but when people see other people do it with little to no consequence, they assume it's safe to do it themselves. Edit: Please do not assume I'm calling people stupid. That's not what the copycat effect is. You see someone do something, and you decide to join in. It's not like these people jumped into a volcano. Yes, though, it was still a bad idea, and we have this video to prove it. But Don't tell me that you wouldn't even have thought about joining in. Not saying you would have gone through with it, but you would have thought about it, even if you immediately afterwards dismissed it as a bad idea. I'd suggest looking at Matpats video on tide pods, he gives a good explanation for the copycat effect.
i would go there but I would stand in the beach, with the water behind me. Also why isn't there patrols or something forcing people off the fence? this whole place is filled with fucking stupidity.
I hardly disagree. If I see a lot of people standing in a place where jets take off and there is a warning sign specifically telling you not to stand there, I’m not going to stand there. It’s called: ✨ Common Sense ✨
warning signs do not protect you from liability in civilized countries. warning signs are not real safety measures. they are a last resort when nothing else works. these tourists are idiots but so are the people who built this airport the way they did. it's fucking 2020 and there are ways to block potentially lethal air streams in a public and crowded area.
@@CaptainObvious0000 no they aren't. Why do they have to either ruin a public road or spend a whole lot of money for a design that might be a problem for the planes, just for the stupidity of some people?
@@angelosmavropulos9804 your comments are irrelevant as they collide with modern safety standards. take it from someone who completed training as a safety officer that this airport situation is a joke. Or the beach. Depending on which one was there second. There's a lot of idiotic laws worldwide. Even if this situation is legal, it just says a lot about the country...
That section of the road is literally PAINTED with signs and warnings to not stand in it during Jet takeoffs. There’s no question she knew and if she was holding onto the fence, especially. There is a 3 foot/1 meter drop off cement retaining wall from that narrow road to the beach that one can take cover behind to avoid the jet blast. It’s not like one would be caught by surprise. The large jets with the engines capable of the jet exhaust to toss an avg sized adult sit there and go through checkouts for a minute or two before they power up and take off. It’s a temptation too much for some people, especially if they’ve been at the many bars walking distance from the jet wash section. I did it. The jet wasn’t a 747 and it did a slower rollout takeoff yet the winds were 40-45 mph max. I couldn’t imagine what a major jet like a 737, 757, 747, Airbus, etc. would feel like. And that’s why people try it. If they wanted to make it safer, the FAA or airport authority would have to build a diffuser/deflector between the runway and the roadway. There’s no way to divert the roadway.
Kind of like skydiving. For the adrenaline rush. Since this was a different country and I was on a cruise, I chose to stand on the beach and experience it though. I did not want to die or be seriously injured on vacation. However, I do see the appeal. I've been skydiving 4 times, knowing the risks. This was a case of bad judgement, not stupidity.
Goob Sorry, I was referring to the fact that somebody right above him literally posted that same comment a couple minutes before him and he just replicated the comment. I am okay with it, it just seems a bit suspicious.
Runway should not be so close to the beach at the first place. The reason is-too much noise and too much smell of jet fuel. I would not personally go to such beach at all. Even when planes landing it's too noisy over your head.
@@gregorchitchian9131 Are you stupid? They Shouldn't have been doing that in the first place there are warning signs there as well Learn something before you talk idiot
@Gregor Chitchian it's not a beach. It's natural sand that idiotic Americans decide to stand on dispite the fact there's an airport there. The only way to avoid having an airport next to a "beach" is to have it in a city, a town or into uninhabited land far from other countries. None of those options are better than just having some sand next to it
when i went the sand would pelt you and it hurt. it was not so fun other than the view that you got. baby carriages were being blown away and my mom and i were each holding two random carriages with the fear that babies were in them.
That is only when there is a jet preparing to take off. When there is not, it is a normal walkway and beach. They don't just pop up out of the blue without you noticing the huge airplane directly in front of you.
@@r6racer53 yeah they can't put up that here. There is no space and the concrete wall is to stop cars from driving into the beach and hitting someone. They also can't block off that area since it leads to a bunch of hotels and restaurants and that is the only way to get to it.
She was killed by the concrete block, not the jet engine. She fully expected and came there for the engine. If it wasn't for the block, the fall would have been harmless.

gravity is a lie. anything that is less dense than air goes up. and anything that is more dense than air goes down. the more dense the more is goes down. we call it weight. we can measure this. gravity, you cannot measure. a big steel ship can float in the ocean because of the air inside the boat creates a thing called Buoyancy. if the boat was full of steel it would sink. like a pebble tossed into the ocean will not float. its because the density of the pebble is more dense than water. gravity is a lie

Well, to be fair, flying cars isn't the best idea. A car could malfunction and send someone too far up and get the driver killed, and if there would be highways in the sky, you would have to have society learn how to adapt to such a change, which could take years, so we would have to master building flying cars years beforehand, and when most of humanity is rich enough to buy their own flying car, what do we do with all the roads and highways in the world? lol

Remember, if you die, you can’t sue the airport company for your decision that lead to your injury
warning signs do not protect you from liability in civilized countries. warning signs are not real safety measures. they are a last resort when nothing else works. these tourists are idiots but so are the people who built this airport the way they did. it's fucking 2020 and there are ways to block potentially lethal air streams in a public and crowded area.

I doubt the FAA has any jurisdiction over a foreign airport.
