Man Andy I just love how much you have with this thing! Always laughing in the face of adversity and issues that honestly would have set me off. You’re amazing and keep up the great work
Long tube headers man- no matter what there are possible clearance issues. Yours look better than mine. X pipe definitely changes the exhaust note. Preferred for performance but a more “modern” sound. I prefer h pipes for that reason but depends on your goals. Looks great!!
@@AndyKruseChannelwhat size are the primaries on the new headers. That will sometimes be the issue with clearances. And maybe why you didn’t have any issues.
Thanks for the FPA Headers tip from your previous video, will get the same, am curious why you are so worried about making a temp setup just to get to the muffler shop, why not just drive there with open headers, would be super fun
I hope you're able to get a set of these headers, I wish there was some way to keep these going once Stan retires. Despite the way I may seem on camera, I'm not an a-hole to my neighbors. Plus, the distance from my house to the muffler shop is enough to set half the town off and be mad at me for the noise. :)
I have the shorty Mac headers for the GT40p heads I have, 2.5” to x pipe and black widow race venom out the back and it sounds so good and is no where near as loud as I thought
@ it’s a good sounding engine, yours that is, I am planning to freshen my engine up since it’s nearing 240,000 miles so I’d like to put a nice mild cam and some good heads to give it that nice rumble and a little more power
I have Hooker long tubes and mine hangs just as low. My exhaust system is the Magnaflow 2.5 inch with x-pipe. Same thing with my exhaust note. It doesn't have the low, chopping rumble that I would like. It's a higher pitch tone without much chop and pretty quite at idle. That surprised me because the Magnaflow mufflers are straight through.
Easy thing to ajust headers is to put a long pipe for leverage then heat down tubes with a torch then push it where you want it cool down with air , how much horsepower do you think you gained? Look good
you may want to check out some spin teck mufflers. i got a pair in my garage ive been trying to put in my 66 gt as soon as i can get it registered. they make the exaust systems for Nascar.
It would be since the exhaust system is cut to fit the car. If I added the x-brace afterwards, then I might need to have these pipes tweaked a little. :)
I’m still trying to figure out why u removed the H pipe and added the flex pipe to just take it to the muffler shop? To see what it “sounded” like ? Since u were never gonna run it without either.. it’s kinda irrelevant. I must be missing something. “$600 isn’t that bad”..I wouldn’t exactly say it isnt that good either. Love all ur content, and appreciate all the work..please dont get me wrong..
Despite the way I may come across in my videos, I'm not an a-hole and I am not interested in irritating my neighbors, nor the rest of the town with open headers. It's quite a distance to the muffler shop from my house, and pissing off half the town is not high on my list or priorities.
@ oh I get THAT.. but why not just have the muffler shop remove the H PIPE? And FWIW, you do not come across as a A-hole.. I have the market cornered on that .. just ask my wife.
@@AndyKruseChannel THAT is what I missed!!! I thought the exhaust system was COMPLETED.. and u were just swapping the X pipe for the H PIPE!! My mistake .. I didn’t realize (or hear-due to noise at work)… it makes absolute sense
I hope you like the sound now, I am also going to put an X pipe in my 66. At cruse speed it makes a popping sound and it's too loud. Your video is great timing. Cheers Andy

It's part of the fun! :)
Very informative for the mustang owner community and like 10% of the amount of exhaust sound needed for this video to "meets expectations"
I debated about just making a 12 minute video of revving the engine, but then it wouldn't be very informative for the mustang owner community. :)

Hmmm, I didn't have a single clearance issue with these new FPA headers. :)

That's the sound of a built 302 h/o I like.....Good one Andy
Technically yes, but no at the same time. 302 block, but punched out to 347. :)
Ha ha! Ya absolutely no one will tell you what they would have done! Car sounds awesome!
I'm trying to keep up with the rockets you are making!
@AndyKruseChannel oh heck, I'm trying to keep up with you! Imagine if you had 6-8 cars rotating through at all times?
Don't tempt me! :)

Looking to add Pypes to my aero chambers on my 65 convertible…can’t wait!
You'll love the sound, it's a nice change!
Had those with an xpipe. Sounded like a flowmaster and turbo mufler combined.

Yeah, it's crazy all the exhaust combinations we can make for these cars. :)

Yeah, I can go back and forth on the sound I want. I'll rock the x-pipe for now and see where it takes me. :)
Which mufflerz are you gonna fit or did i mis this part? Did you allready look at. The craig with his f100 and 306 with x pioe and widow makers?
Still have the Flowmaster 40 series, for now.....
Nice video Andy cheers
Thanks!

I plan to get this car on the dyno in the next few months, I'm dyin' to know what it'll make now. :)

Yep, the spintechs are on the list for the next time I do the back half of the exhaust. :)
Sounds Great! Andy what is your car undercoated with? it looks great..
Thanks.
Not sure, it is what was on the car when I bought it. :)
Hi, but is this installation compatible with the Mike Maier subrame-Xbrace connectors?
It would be since the exhaust system is cut to fit the car. If I added the x-brace afterwards, then I might need to have these pipes tweaked a little. :)
Knocked it out of the park a beautiful sounding Ford
Thanks!
That sounds really good! I really like the sound of the Mustangs with the X-pipe. I run one as well.
Thanks Brotha!
Too bad I can't easily get this to the East Coast, because we definitely do some damage with our cars! :)
HAHA, I just installed an X pipe with cutouts and super turbo mufflers. Your next mod should be the Estop electric parking brake.
Cutouts are on the list, but I have to do a few other mods first..... :)
The x pipe has a good sound but I love the long tubes through an h pipe. Can't be beat. Forget your old neighbors feelings. Let's hear it Andy!
Yeah, the h-pipe does sound good.
Getting my x pipe start of next year on my mustang. Can’t wait! 😃 yours sound awesome Andy ⚡️🤘🏽
Awesome, it should be a great upgrade! :)
Not pretty, but it works.
Got to do what you have to do to get the job done.
Um, thanks?

Nice job, but ...that's it? We need to hear more than a 5 second exhaust clip.. Rev that thing out and how about some downshifts as well..
I've got over 500 videos on my channel, you are welcome to watch them if you need more exhaust sound. :)
Flatbed the car to the muffler shop.
That would have cost more....
@@AndyKruseChannel I would have done it under my Auto Club road service for free.

So far so good. I can't wait for this winter to be over, gonna blow through a few tanks of gas with this new setup. :)
Plz don’t put Blackwidow mufflers on your car
Got it.
