I still think losing Carlos D was one of the most impactful components Interpol lost. Still love them nonetheless but the loss of Carlos D still sucks.
Ivan Gee I don't know. He's really tapered off. He has no contact with Interpol anymore. He wrote some great bass lines and made Interpol sound more new-new wave. Now they're a lot more post-punk and I still love their sound. I don't think they're worse without Carlos, just different.
