Stuart- I spend about 2 month a year in O’Burgo. I sent you a sunrise photo that you used a few weeks ago. It was taken from the balcony of the building straight ahead of you at the beginning of the video, right next to the signage for the Camino. A Cepa which you noticed near the church is perhaps my favorite restaurant in all of Coruña. They have a great menu del día, often hard to get in without a reservation. O’Burgo doesn’t have an “Old Town”. It’s what in the US we call a suburb of A Coruña. It is a pleasant place to live (except for the traffic, only two bridges across the ría). The Paseo Marítimo where you started the video is packed with families at lunch time and on the weekends. Hope you had a chance to try “Pulpo a Feira” AKA in the rest of Spain “Pulpo a la Gallega”-Joe

I'm reading the signs as you walk about. Galacian seems to be a mixture of Spanish, Portuguese and French influences. Also I noticed a contribution of flora indigenous to America's southeast, a magnolia tree.

No french... unsure why you think that... and to say Portuguese influence is a stretch just because they are neighbours, you could say Portugal is influenced by Galicia.

@@FlamencoOz That's why the sign on the side of the building said "meson". In reality there are many french words incorporated into Galician. As far as which language influenced the other, Galician to Portuguese or vice versa, is to be left to linguists. I'm studying Portuguese and often find similarity to French, for example the use of the ç..cedilla is common in Portuguese. After your comment, I did an AI search and there are defintely many French words incorprated into Galician. Similarily, you will find Celtic, Arabique, Roman, Greek and Visigoth influences throughout the Iberain pennisula. So, where did you get your degree in linguistics?

Another great video Stuart. Thanks for sharing it with us. I was quite surprised not to see a Casco Viejo in such a big town. I Googled it and sure enough, it doesnt have one and it's only historical sites are what you have shown us. The bridge and the church. What the town is known for are it's many educational schools, accademies and colleges and it even has one of the largest teacher training facilities. Quite odd. Looking forward to the next one. Un Saludo.😀👍

    Hiya Stuart
Out of interest, when visiting more far flung places: do you drive or avail yourself of the train. Planning to visit Asturias next year.... To purchase cider apples of all things. Recently very impressed with the train fares in Spain... Two returns Alicante to Madrid under €50. For comparison back in England last week One return ; similar distance(400km) £ 145

Otra cosa son las tortillas industriales que se venden en bares de turistas o de baja calidad . Ahí no son buenas .

O Burgo is a town of close to 10,000 which is like a stop over if you're going to the airport. I could swear that the runway of A Coruña airport is on an elevated meseta. Every time that i've flown into A Coruña airport it's always been a hairy landing. On 16 August 1973< Aviaco Flight 118 crashed while trying to land at Alvedro Airport. All 85 people on board the aircraft plus one person on the ground were killed.

Stuart, I'm disappointed by what I perceive to be your casual racism. Upon viewing an Asian restaurant, you had to quip "I don't know if they serve Wang or not" and follow up with "enter at your own risk". You didn't even go in!
You see a random Asian male a few meters away and surmise that this could be Mr. Wang himself.
Having seen dozens of your videos over the years, I know you are able to keep this type of insensitivity in check.
