This dude went from making Army vlogs to running marathons, buying a top of the line grill to cook steaks for his employees, and casually buying saunas for his house and his business. It’s honestly pretty motivating.
Be careful dropping from a higher offset shoe down to zero and not taking the time to allow your body to get used to the zero drop. If you’re not careful you can very easily end up with calf, Achilles and plantar fascia issues!! I’m a big fan of altra but it needs to be a slow calculated transition. Also, the endorphin speed is not a very supportive shoe, it’s actually quite unstable, and it’s just built on a narrow last. Enjoy your Altras and good luck with your training, just be careful with the transition down to zero offset 👏🏼
100% agree! I'm dealing with achilles tendinitis right now because I transitioned from my Asics/Saucony with 8 and 10mm drops to a pair of Altras way too quickly. I still want to eventually get down to a more minimal shoe, but I think the transition will be months if not longer.
@@nathanieldrake7545 absolutely takes at least 4 months if you want to be safe. I took like 9 months to go completely zero drop because I didn't want to compromise my college running by having to drop mileage.
I kinda tapered off of this channel a couple years ago but for whatever reason the content has started to appeal to me again. Seems a bit more like the good old days. Thanks for all the insight, knowledge, and motivation, Nick 👍
No shit thought I was the only 1, yeah thought it was just me as I'm getting into my running again and making a better effort on my nutrition I've been loving the new content.
Great work on removing the artificial colors from your supplements! That’s been the only thing holding me back from diving in with your brand. Been finding myself back with Onnit since they don’t use artificial colors but now I’ll jump on board with BPN.
would be great to see worldwide shipping/ a UK distribution centre! I'm sure the UK military would take your product on to sell as this is something they lack on
Big fan of the BPN brand. I really like how they manage their employees. It’s more of a family rather than your typical employer/employee relationship. I think the morning yoga on Fridays and the massage therapist that comes in 100% boost productivity at HQ. Would you guys ever expand into having another facility somewhere else in the States.
getting onto shelves at Whole Foods and SupplementShop is going to be GAME CHANGERS for reaching a large customer base! can't wait to see your products in store next year!
I usually never pay attention to the sponsored part of videos but I actually found this one useful. I’ve been searching for a new mattress for about a month now and just pulled the trigger on a helix haha!
Hit the nail on the head Nick! Investing in the people who help run a business is the most important thing. Ive always found that a happy, dedicated, & invested team is definitely a recipe for success! 👍
Hi Nick, question for you: what's BPN doing about sustainability? Conscious you're a company that uses a lot of plastics, fuel, energy and resources. How are you reducing impacts?
Great point Oliver, consumers need to hold companies to high standards. Id also highlight the massive amounts of red meat they consume and the footprint that has. (dont anyone tell me its grassfed organic - still produces the same amount of methane, and requires MORE land!)
@@JackChickenwing I agree, although I suppose their 'personal' footprint is tiny compared to their 'organisational' footprint. But I'm with you on shifting away from diets heavy on animal source products and towards primarily plant based foods, mostly for environmental reasons.
Tried altras two years ago just for a work shoe, horrible plantar pain within three weeks. Had to toss them. Good luck with them! Hope they work for you.

Nick, pls implement worldwide shipping of your BPN products in the upcoming years. It would be really nice to be able to buy your products here in Europe.
Just purchased my first supplement products from this company and I'm so excited to try it. Althought I've been following Nick for a couple of years now and tried the samples, I've never been consistent with my supplements. So we are trying to get back on the right track and what better company to go with than BPN! Also, is Daniel still with the company or did Adam take that position?

Being from the UK... watching an America cook steak in the back of a pick up, with a cowboy hat on, in the sun is quite possibly the most American thing I have seen... Was only missing a gun in the other hand I'm jealous Oh and for crying out loud, get a distributor in the UK!
why don’t you figure out how to turn the 50 dollars of sheet metal and fasteners into something worth $4000 then? it is easy to say but imagine the research, product development and marketing needed to be able to sell that 50 dollars of sheet metal for $4000. its a lot harder and more expensive to make that broiler than 50 dollars. also you’re just tripping because you don’t even make that much in month
@@allenlebaron8993 I realize that R&D go into products. I realize that skill is required to make them, payroll, etc. But it's not a fucking rocket, it's a grill, bro and it ain't the first grill ever made. It's also a very popular grill among restaurants, so I can see why it would cost so much. I can imagine that much of the cost actually goes into servicing/warranty of the grill should it need repair. Or else these welders/fabricators are making out like bandits. Such a weird attempt at a diss at the end of your comment. I DO make more than 4K a month, actually, quite a bit more than that. But okay.... cool story, thanks for the insult?
Since I moved to Austin I always wanted to go visit Steiner. I see the overlook of lake travis from their steak house. Only time I made time for it was during out freeze in February
Dang I wish Nick was my dad, can you imagine the morning of a child of the Bare? Getting up at 5am before pre-k and then running 5 miles while also drinking black coffee, dangerous little thing. Also, can we get a Preston and Nick cook off lol
