For people who think his fame or ‘hay day’ was only in the 80s and early 90s - this Year In Review proves them wrong. Michael was Michael Jackson in EVERY decade of his life.

I wouldn't really say the 2000's was his fame or 'hay day' because he was dealing with child molestation accusations from 2003 to 2005 and maybe after that he was doing okay but he was not his best in the 2000's. His Invincible Allbum didn't even make the Top 10.

It was honestly over for him once the allegations came out in the early 90s. Before that point, he just had to contend with his physical issues from the constant dancing, along with his burns. After that, he had to contend with MUCH more. The vitriol was complex and completely unavoidable for MJ. Everyone seems to have this idea that a downfall is instantaneous. It rarely is.

He started with his health issues by late 2000. His face showed pale finish inspite of huge makeover.
@@MICHAELJUBILEEMJ his immune condition worsened due to stress, he really started to show it in 98-99 and his worst phase was probably during the trial in the early 2000s. I wouldn’t be surprised if he started struggling more with breathing, sleep, hair loss, etc. He certainly looked unhealthy during the trial (obviously).

Hey The Detail!! I would like to give you an idea. After you finish the "Year In Review" series, it would be really cool to show a Review of everything that happened in 2009, gathering all possible information about "This Is It" and also an insight into MJ's life at that time, as per example the documentary "Dangerous 30", where you nailed all possible information. "This Is It" is Michael's most recent material, and the most modern, it could bring great insight to a younger audience and fans also discover things that are almost never told about the 2009 rehearsals.

It would've been a lot easier for Michael to get a chance to talk to the fans, unlike before where he only did it while out and about and didn't have time for an actual conversation. I vividly remember being a kid watching Michael on the World Music Awards, (I recorded it on my VCR to always have it in my MJ collection) and getting so excited when he said “ you ain’t seen nothing yet!”

I could see him having a Twitch or RUclips channel and doing Instagram lives with his fans.
I think it would have been better for him now because the world would have had his back. Social media would have put everyone else going against him through hell. Michael could start his own interview on social media they way he wanted it.

1993 was actually the beginning of the end, when those first allegations hit it was all over for him.

Yes. You're right. Our consolation is in knowing that he died knowing he was dearly loved, respected and honoured by millions, even with all the defamation that he was subjected to. I'm so sad for him, heartbreaking but we have his videos and music to keep us

He was so gentle and understanding. Really interesting hearing him keep teasing "the best is yet to come". The demos he was recording around this time are in fact some of his best work. A shame his estate has done such a terrible job releasing/promoting them.

In that year, Michael's face was going through a crisis, if you see it in the awards for the artist of the millennium, and compare it with the charity gala, there is a brutal change, since 1998 that change began, a total shame, his nose was on the verge of collapse and his lips well... you said it in the previous video, but even so he was a great artist and person.
The thing going on with his lip became very apparent in the 30th anniversary shows he looked horrible I think the last time he looked decent before 2001 was probably 1997 it seemed like after 2001 maybe late 2002 onward his appearance started getting a little better have you also noticed that in early 1991 he still looked like he did during the bad era and then looked different towards mid 1991 I know this year has skin had gradually gotten lighter but something else was up with his overall appearance

Some of the wigs/hairpieces made him look worse too. IMO he looked good receiving the Artist of the Millennium Award at 4:10, but after that all the wigs went downhill. The one in the last clip at 8:41 is a whole mess.

Am I the only one who doesn't understand what changed so dramatically with Michael between 2000 and 2001? In the video where he accompanies Elizabeth Taylor, I see the look of the same Michael as in the 80s and 90s, but take for example the concert in honor of the 30th anniversary of his solo career, Michael is completely different there, and even his eyes is not the same as before.
Because unfortunately he was high as a kite at the 30th anniversary celebration. Very influenced by prescription at that time. But that was only a very short period of Michael's life, he did have problems then, but he was never a "junkie" who was using drugs to have fun or get intentionally high. He had to function under incredible pressure during some periods of time and couldn't cope without medication. Very understandable.
People say he had Botox around his eye region thanks to Arnold Klein *eyeroll* so his eye area looks different
i read he had a face lift around 1999, but now I do not believe that happened, because his face looked similar in early 2000......I do believe he had one in the 2000s, or an eye lift......or maybe it was just botox, which he really didn't need to do al over his face.

Michael still looks good in 2000. I always thought hé looked worse after the accident in 1999 where hé Hurt his back badly.. but in 2000 hé looks okay. In 2001 the battle with Sony begins, the docu with Bashir and from this false docu New Child abuse accusations started. True hell for Michael begins in the early 2000's.

@@dillonohlemiller401 Yeah, first with the lack of promotion of Michael's Invincible album in 2001 and 02, the child absue allegations happened again in 2003 that lasted until 2005, and then he pretty much stayed out of the limelight for the rest of the 00s. Then right when Michael about to prepare for his return to music, he died. It sucks. 😥
