Can you spot the tiny reindeer kid? This is the video for the 10 day Femundsmarka NP and Rogen backpacking trip in Norway and Sweden, the first real backpacking video from the 25 episode "Grand Scandinavian Hiking & Backpacking Tour 2021". I am so excited to finally show the world this amazing summer of backpacking. I had a couple of herds of reindeer visit in my camp and they started fighting over food right by my tent…quite the experience! An epic 10 day trip and the start of the best summer of my life!
Stony fields, green meadows, rustling creeks, clouded blue skies, a multitude of lakes in which the scenery is reflected, hills and mountains, trees and grasses.... The kingdom of the reindeer .... I mainly enjoyed the quietness and peacefulness of this unspoilt nature. An exquisite and colourful 'Overture' of your "Scandinavian Symphony". I've great expectations about the next parts ! Thank you, Jarl ! And from here, in Flanders, I wish you many beautiful mornings and surprizing encounters on your trips in your magnificent homeland.
Another spectacular film. Really enjoying seeing the Norwegian terrain. The tent, the reindeer, the fishing 🎣 the beauty all captured on film. Thank you!
I'm impressed by watching your video. All the walking with a heavy backpack and filming at the same time. I have spent most of my holidays at Femund living in my fiancé cabin just a few miles from where you are walking. Thank you for sharing.
Jarl, our viewing begins and how awesome these are going to be. Reading some of the previous comments, of which I dont normally do, I am blown away by the mutual amazement of your work, efforts and commitments to make these trips available for us to watch. We, your subscribers, are in "AWE". Just Loving it man!! Thank you!
I love your videos, especially the winter ones. Watching yours and other videos has made me want to take backpacking trips this year here in Montana, USA. Thanks for the inspiration!
What a bummer that the fish didn’t bite…but the vibrant colors, caging landscape and the fantastic camp sites must have been a mild compensation for that miss! …and luckily your trails haven’t been like the JMT…you wouldn’t have enjoyed and traded in the dry and hot conditions of this summer! Excited to the next episode!
Absolutely stunning views with perfect soundscapes & commentary, I wish I could be there. Between your & Joey's videos, I just watch one after the other none stop. Great work Jarl!!! Please keep them coming. Be safe.
Absolutely glorious! Have finally managed to sit down and start watching this wonderful series. Cinematography beautiful as usual. Reminds us a lot of British Columbia (Canada), but juuuust a little bit different. Thank you for this shining series of trips to keep us through the start of winter. 10 days of food? Ugh!!!
Great work! Thank you for the insights into Femundsmarka. That's now on top of my destination wishlist. You could cut the chapters "Reindeer through camp" and "Reindeer in the sunset" a bit more ;-) as the morning recordings are even better.
Amazing. Will be in Femundsmarka on Saturday, and will start my 5 day hiking trip on Sunday. Don't have that much experience hiking yet, so I will stick to the marked paths, it will still be an adventure for sure. :D
That was OUTSTANDING! I saw 1 billion ways to twist your ankle. That looked difficult but beautiful. Do the deer have natural predators there? Aren't there wolves?
Very relaxing to watch. That water is so still.
Thank you, its a vert relaxing area!
Beautiful. Thanks. The rugged immensity combined with the pace of foot steps...
You're very welcome!
This guy deserved more view. The quality and scenery is amazing.
Thank you

Thanks for watching Rudy!
Hey Jarl…looking good man! Some of us been waiting and it’s here. And the opening song…my favorite…it’s the right music for the mood of the mountain 🏔
Thank you so much Stealthman!
Fun to see so many Reindeer games on display there. The lush soundscapes match the lush landscapes nicely. Thanks for sharing :)
Thank you:-) the reindeer was a cool experience!

Waking up to the reindeer in a 5 star setting. Sleeping next to the lakes and 🎣. Jarl PT1 is excellent!
Thank you Rich!

Looked superb, puts my one night adventures in perspective, enoyable as they are. Thank you for sharing the mindreleasing landscape.
Thank you, one night adventures are cool too, but its really disconnecting in a good way to be out longer:-)
Love the footage of the reindeer!
Thank you, it was an epic moment!
@@NorwegianXplorer when they were first walking right toward your tent; that had to be something special to experience.
@@shredhiker6209 Yeah, it was also a peaceful sunset and it was indeed my first real meeting with reindeer out in nature, so I was pretty stoked
I like to see the area from the hills, muggsjøen & struggsjøen, is nice
Really enjoyed this video
Thank you Patty!
Really nice vlog! Thanks! I like also your camera usage!
Thank you!
That was OUTSTANDING! I saw 1 billion ways to twist your ankle. That looked difficult but beautiful. Do the deer have natural predators there? Aren't there wolves?
Thank you Tim, lots of ancle twisters indeed! There are bears and wolves, but very very few, they have been hunted to near extinction in Norway
Fantastiske filmer 😊 Musikken er noe spesiell.
Takk for det!
Sublime beauty!
Indeed Barclay, it was an amazing trip!

Det var en fin fisk ja:-) det blir nok flere turer på meg også inn i Sverige neste sommer.
Tjenare Jalle :) Epic footage, what camera equipment do you use ? playlist saved..... Greetings/Hasse 😀
Tack Hasse, denne videoen her var filmet med en Gopro 9, men nå bruker jeg Sony A7mk4 og DJI Pocket 3
@@NorwegianXplorer Tackar !
Thanks for another great video - Femundsmarka is now on my pucket list. Is this an official trail? Or is that just you walking random around? BR Jens
This was mostly off trail, but there are marked trails as well
What sleeping set up did you go for in July - sleep bag and sleeping matt wise?
WM ultralite and a therm-a-rest neo air
Tusen takk! Do you offer guided excursions, or would you once things open hopefully again?👍🇳🇴🇺🇸
Thank you, never really thought about that
@@NorwegianXplorer It would be wonderful! God dag!👍
Maybe I should, where are you from?
@@NorwegianXplorer From the US and, once things hopefully open up, I believe many people would enjoy! Will keep watching!
@@ginakormanik5340 Very cool, thank you, there are some specific rules to guiding in the US, but not in Scandinavia I believe

Jeg tror ikke det var en gjedde, er ingen ekspert på fisk:-)
Herregud. I was thinking of going to Norway next summer, but do I really want a bunch of impertinent reindeer all up in my face?
Haha, they are very calming actually:-)
Can anyone recommend the best map for around lake femunden?
You can buy them at DNT.no i think
Do you use any GPS device for you hikes?
Yes sometimes I use a map on my phone, usually within alltrails
