This is a such a simple explanation for layman like us. In reality it is so complex with multiple trains, tracks, weather conditions, terrains, languages, I salute the people working in Indian Railways day and night, the loco pilots, the signal men, the station masters who make such a complex system so smooth and comfortable for us, yes we have delays and unfortunate mishaps but most of the days of the year we all find Indian Railways so reliable.

Dont blame for trains running lates... passengers are responsible for this... some passenger pulling chains... to check what is the problem approx 6 7 or 10 minutes time taken by RPF... Someone standing at door and fall from train... it takes time to collect his body parts... someone somewhere doing sucide infront of Trains... again time taken for collects his body... there are lots of reason due to which trains running lates...1 train delayed hence many trains delayed... running trains for such huge population is not a butter...so respect the Railway employees and thanks them running trains smoothly on daily basis...I salute all the railway employees❤

Not much complicated. It's station to station set-up. Signal 🚦 distance is min 1.2Km to max 10Km. @ speed of 120 every 5 minute signal is there.
