People especially Africans are just too fixated about UK, US and Canada which is so wrong. Trust me, you can make in China, Japan, South Korea, Singapore, Kazakhstan, Cambodia or Macau more than double of what a teacher makes in the UK per month. There are a lot of British teachers in Asia , some of them are my colleagues at work here in Far East Asia and they usually tell me that they can never teach in the UK. Don’t concentrate on UK . Explore other options. Use LinkedIn.

I teach KS4 and KS5 an option subject on a full-time basis in an academy based in Lincolnshire UK . I've been doing this for 13 years. School starts at 8.30 am but I arrive an hour earlier just to get my planning sorted and school finishes at 3.35pm.
This also depends on if you have arranged some interventions to catch up for study. You get about 30 students with mixed abilities, so you'll have your hands full in the hour of your lessons.
There are 5 subjects for an hour, 1 hour break and an additional 20-minute break, which makes up your timetable.
Accents doesn't bother me at all. I've been in the UK since finishing my secondary school in Nigeria.

£27,000 a year? How much is that money? That means the teacher will take £2,250 a month? Please give me clarification. If it is so I don't think it's worth it looking at the stress that goes with teaching.

In fact, I am a qualified senior high school mathematics teacher in Ghana and planning on relocating to the UK still to teach but the money doesn't look that attractive for someone living there because of the standard of living over there.😄😄😄😄I don't think I am lying

The money may not be attractive but the benefits are immense: no school fees for your children; no hospital bills; and your spouse is allowed to work any job and hours of her choice. You the sponsored teacher are restricted to work only for the school that brought you but your spouse can work any job and any hours. Additionally, you get permanent residence after 5 years for all the wife and children. Also, you can do extra tutoring online to supplement your income.

It is next to impossible to get into those lovely Grammar Schools and the pay scale in colleges is much lower than in mainstream schools. The behaviour of pupils in many of these state schools is horrendous - these kids have absolutely no respect for teachers, and it is usually these schools that are desperate to recruit teachers from abroad - the British teachers won't go anywhere near them. Speaking from personal experience.
