This was hands down the best ultimate guide on the topic, such a good video! :) As a dance teacher, the only tip that I'd slightly differ from what was said, is that chunky heel can be very beginner friendly as it provides more security and stability.. certainly better than heel that's thin but higher. As for everything else, all tips on point 🤗
Thanks for your feedback 😃 It really depends on the person. Some people recommend a comphier option to start (chunky) and others recommend just starting with the standard option (stiletto) so your body can get used to it eventually. Either way, we’re all gonna end up with stilettos eventually 🙂🤍
I always loved afro hair. I love it since I saw as I was a kid the beautiful Minnie Riperton singing Loving You with flowers in her hair. I remembered i wish I had such hair to be able to be as pretty as her
I just bought a pair of dance heels after taking my first class in 6in pole shoes (I did not know the type of heel mattered going in) the way I had to focus so much on balance instead of choreo I knew I need better suited heels going forward. Which is how I landed here 😊 I did end up with 3.3 heels instead of 3.5 because the more budget friendly dance boots only went up to that height
Loved ALL of these tips. Thank you! I currently have a black pair of 4" stilettos that ive never worn. Kind of scared to full on dance in those so im just going to start off right with actual dance shoes.
Thanks for the great tips! I also didn't know heels caps DON'T interfere with your dancing, so I think I will order them as well, since some floors really can't handle stilettos. Thank you so much for all the inspiration!!
they dont cost much so its worth a try :) just really gotta get the ones i recommended cause those are forsure gonna work :) some other ones can be too loose
Thank you!! This video is very helpfull now that Im considering buying my first pair of dance shoes. I swear I almost settled on rubber soles and I had no clue it would have a negative impact.
Hi!!!! I am starting my HEELS journey. I've taken a heels class and I loved it. I'm wondering if you recommend wearing socks with your heels? I've taken a few classes while wearing heels and once I start sweating the inside of my heels feel a bit slippery which is not comfortable to dance in and makes me feel a little unstable in the heels... I'm wondering if socks could help this?
Yayy so glad youre starting 😍 I always wear socks with my heels and that’s one of the reasons why :) Not only does it help control odor, but it also makes me feel more stable when I start sweating. But it’s all about how you feel. Try it out :)
@@ShapingSarah thank you so much for your response! When I tried socks on with mine recently it made me feel more slippery. Is there a type of sock you would recommend? Maybe I need ones with grips. I’m starting a basics heels series next week and I can’t wait to continue to build my foundation 👠
Hii, thx for this video. I have a Burju shoe Tempest for 1 year. But one of my strap hole broke🥺 and also the stitches eventually stretch open. Did I do something wrong? I'm I tying it wrong(I like my shoes to be tight on my foot)
Hey so sorry to hear that boo! It’s normal to have some tear if you dance consistently, but I never had that happen after only 1 year. I would recommend you go to your local shoe repair store. Their repairs usually cost about $20-$50 depending on the amount of tear. But that’s way better than buying a whole new shoe. I hope you can get it fixed! xo
My pleasure :) I usually have stockings on stage (which can be slippery) so I generally wear black socks on top of my stockings. Usually the requirement is black heels so it works perfectly with black socks either way!
What type of heels dance shoe did YALL start with? 👀
also with call it spring shoes but thrifted!

I know NOTHING about the heels but boy do I know about sweaty feet from experience... You could try bamboo socks!
@@penthing thank you!! I’m going to give that a try 😊

For heels dance, if you have a lot of pain on your feet, is it okay to use a 6 or 7 cm flaired heel?
Thank you so much for this video! But I have a question, when you perform, do you perform also with socks on? or barefoot?
My pleasure :) I usually have stockings on stage (which can be slippery) so I generally wear black socks on top of my stockings. Usually the requirement is black heels so it works perfectly with black socks either way!
@@ShapingSarahohhh okay thank you!!
Why not buying a suede sole?
Nothing wrong with it! Personal preference I just prefer the grip I get from an all surface sole. 🙂
does it depend on shoe size though? i wear a 34 and i feel like 4 would be so high
the height doesn’t depend on shoe size! It’s really up to your comfort level. You can start with 3.5 in 😃
❤️🔥
🙂🩷
Anyone here cause they want heels they can wear out dancing (but don't do heels clases in a studio or smth)
I love you
