'We always give the other team credit'. What a refreshing change from the griping, excuses and mind-games we get all too often today. No wonder they went out there and gave everything for him.
@ Even after resigning as England manager he got Man City promoted and they have remained a Premier League club ever since. Though looking back at his managerial career I think Kevin will be remembered most for his time at Newcastle United, in particular that 1995/96 season.
That is not a man defeated yes he just watch his team lose the title but that is also a man who was just seen the best game of football he has even seen. Miss you so much King Kev Newcastle now needs a man like you involved in the club
The unluckiest team in UK football how the league didn't come to tyneside during that period was criminal really lady luck doesn't come up to the North East unfortunately
Eh,had they played more defensively it would’ve,how a team thought they’d get away with all out attacking football over 38 games and win the premier league is baffling !
Gary Neville snapped Keith Gillespie in half at Christmas with a late challenge. That was half of Ferdinand's supply gone. Little things like that went against Newcastle.
Hitomi Tanaka Nah,they were getting found out as the season went on,plus United has the experience of winning leagues,Newcastle didn’t,Asprilla can’t be blamed either,he was actually a success when you look at the stats that season !!
@@shanet5604 fixture pile up defientetly didn't suit us that year as well as the amount of times United got 3 points when they shouldn't have God knows how many 1-0s were in there schmiecel and Cantona won United the league that year lady luck just went against us in the end
The Englishman1966 Ah no way had luck to do with it ! They blew a 12 point lead ffs !! Grinding out 1-0 wins is part of the game, can’t put them all down to luck ! And as for fixture pile up ! They went out of both cups early ! United did the double !

Kevin Keegan interview after F.A Cup tie against Charlton in January 1997,right before he resigned !

Pmsl.....whatever
There was never a dull moment in football when Kevin Keegan was around. He brought so much to the game both as a player and as a manager.
Still had many more years in him, he was like the British Mourinho at the time.

Love Keegan's interviews. Always honest and straightforward. No soundbites. I miss him being a manager
What a fantastic game ! The best in the 90s and probably the best ever game in the last 50 years.

He had a bozo attitude to football at this level, which is why he never achieved anything

"Where's Andy and his machines tonight?..." Notice the way Sky have cut out that part... talk about Cancel Culture.
Coca Cola Cup LOL
Today it's called the Carabao Cup, so what?
@@thomasconway95 i remember the days when it was called the Rumbelows Cup!
He was too nice,if it was SAF he’d have flipped !! That’s a nice guy and then a ruthless manager and players won’t sleep ! See the difference…

It was 1927 since Newcastle won the league,Kevin…
He was quite close.
Won nothing, and walked away from every club he managed when going got tough.
Reminds me of a northern mike from corrie
