Hey darlin, that's really heartbreaking news. I'm so sad for your loss. May your beautiful loyal cat send you peace an blessings from heaven. It's always hard when those we love need to leave. 💙🙏🕯🙏💙
WITH THE GREATEST SADNESS IMAGINABLE, MY BEST FRIEND 'MEOW', HAS PASSED AWAY JUST NOW, AFTER OVER 20 YEARS. I DREADED THIS DAY FOR SO MANY YEARS, AND ALWAYS KNEW THAT I WAS TRULY BLESSED, TO HAVE SUCH A LOYAL COMPANION, FOR SO MUCH LONGER THAN ONE SHOULD EVER EXPECT...
Your pets are family members and when they pass away the feeling (mourning) is the same as for any other family members that pass away and in some cases even more so. I'm so sorry for your loss mate. I know how much Meow meant to you. She was a very lucky cat to have such a great Daddy.
I am so sorry for your loss of precious Meow. You are such a loving catdad. What a wonderful long life she had. it is still sad to lose a dear friend and family member.
Thank you. Although still hard, laying her to rest yesterday near my much loved 'Bird', did make things a tiny bit easier; 'Closure' as they say I guess. And the stone we put on her grave, I can see from the verandah she liked sitting on, as well as from the kitchen window, where I spend a great deal of my days making coffee, so, she'll never be far from my thoughts...
Sorry to hear this Steve . Mate I know how your feeling at the moment. I remember when my dog had to be euthanised , His name was Pepi the poodle . I remember when my sister brought him home one day and the first time I saw him I deliberately scared him and he took off down the street 100mph shit scared . Over time I learnt to love him , best friend I ever had . Many of my mates couldn’t believe I had a poodle because I was a front rower in my footy team with a head like a pit bull . Pepi the poodle got hit twice by cars on two different occasions, once he was in a coma for 3 weeks , he also got mauled by two big mongrel dogs ( I caught up with those two dogs one night with a baseball lol ) . Arthritis and bowel problems plagued him in his last years . Never owned any pets since because I get too emotionally attached to them , hurts to much when the day finally arrives when they pass away .
Thanks mate - Anyone who doesn't understand the depth one can have for a fellow being, doesn't have a heart. Meow survived a brown snake encounter when she was very small - I often wonder if, somehow, that made the rest of her immune system SO strong...
So sorry to hear about Meow Steve.Losing a pet is never easy especially after 20 years which is a long life for a pet!I have my buddy Toonces, follows me around like a dog, being a british bombay it is said that they cling to one person over others. My wife thinks it's wierd but that is one of her traits, besides i work night shift so we are on the same schedule lol!She sleeps right next to me every day,not looking forward to the day she leaves me.She is 9
oh lovie...thats so sad and heart breaking.... our Makybe had heart problems which caused fluid on her lungs... we gave her a couple of months with meds for heart and diuretic for the fluid..vet told us she would never get better but will worsen...when the time came for us to say goodbye to her...so heart breaking but better then see her suffer anymore...thinking of you at this time or sorrow ... :(
Thank you lovie; so close to each others losing their buddies. Vet assumed from xrays Meows failing heart was to blame for fluid build-up, but $700 later - he found it was mostly blood, so a tumor bleed somewhere. When I asked if it was worth draiing the rest, as her breathing improved on the operating table even after a small amount was drained, he said no; she would be worse and draining it wouldn't stop the bleeding of course, so, sadly; this way she basically went to sleep under Anesthesia, and just never woke up. Regrets are a horrible thing to live with, and at least this way, I know we did everything possible to try. x
Thank you Susan - It was absolutely gut wrenching, and I still a few weeks later, find myself calling her name when it comes to feeding her 19 year old kittens, who miss her as well I'm sure 😥❤
