I could listen to your storytelling all day (and have, more than once). What a great video! So enjoyable and helps me really feel the culture and mythology and the foundations of what came before.
Your way of telling a story brings everything to life and how rooted into today mythology still is in Ireland is always refreshing. This historical thing is exactly what pulls my heart towards my grandfather’s family’s homeland. Also Brigid. ☺️
i second this - recently read a story of many names, when the Dagda is on a quest and meets a young woman and won’t help her until she says his name right… i got a good chuckle out of that.
I'll tell you I learn more little pieces of information all the time. I found Morgan's Channel a long time ago from watching Lora and yourself separate channels. She has good information also. I'm glad you all are sharing the knowledge you accumulated over the years. Keep it up 👍🏻 hope you both enjoyed a nice Imbolg.
i saw the title of this video and immediately thought of A Wizard Abroad by Diane Duane, which is a fantastic book that deals with these treasures/irish mythology quite a bit and i love it
I’m starting to think of ideas and hooks for a homebrew D&D campaign inspired by Irish folklore and mythology, with a little Norse flare in it too. These 4 treasures are super inspiring, with physical objects representing otherworldly power/guidance and an ability to possibly change the tides of war. Not to mention all the other little nuanced ideas (like mortal wounds, almost akin to a curse) woven through. Super fascinating look into some of my own roots as well, thank you for this!
Ever since i read the short story of the four treasures in Tales of Old Ireland Retold I have wanted to know more about that story and the movements of the people. So THANKYOU! Loved this video. 😊

Can you make a video on cults / abusive spiritual teacher power dynamics? Specifically wondering how y'all avoid that.
I find the Bog Bodies fascinating. Great video, thanks.
I also thought this was an interesting note Jon made!

Lovely story telling, thank you!
Thank you for this perspective/refresher. For some reason I can always remember cauldron and stone, but not spear and sword.
This was so informative! Please do the many Names of The Dagda!

Thank you, as always, for your thoughtful story telling and insight. This helped me organize many of the bits and pieces into a more coherent timeline

GRMA! I'd love to hear more on the Lia Fáil. It comes up regularly in my research.
