    Read by David Suchet
Quick Summary of the book of 2Kings:
Elijah is translated to heaven, and Elisha takes his place as God’s prophet in Israel. Jehu becomes Israel’s king and wipes out the wicked family line of Ahab. In Judah, Ahab’s daughter becomes queen and attempts to kill all of David’s heirs, but she fails. Wicked kings rule in both nations, with the exception, in Judah, of a few reformers such as Hezekiah and Josiah. Israel’s persistent idolatry finally exhausts God’s patience, and He brings the Assyrians against them to conquer the people of Israel. Later, God brings the Babylonians against Judah as a judgment, and Jerusalem is destroyed.

May the Lord bless you as you listen to his word :)
    Have a blessed day!

What I love about 1 Kings & 2 Kings is the history of what the people did and how Laws were never enough because humans cannot do them and that Our Messiah Jesus was needed and came.
    Jesus is our Saviour.

Eliyahu HaNavi (Elijah) was one true badass. He was like the top Navy SEAL equivalent, serving righteous Israelites but he had a heart like Moses. When he crossed dimensional realms to the upper worlds he managed to bless his student Elisha with double his power. Why Elisha inherited a double portion of his spirit the Gemara explains, is perhaps because Elisha will revive two, and that a master is never envious of his student

Sometimes I'm just disgusted with Israel's actions. God gave them everything, great kings, incredible prophets and riches, yet at any given opportunity the whole Israel just turns away to worship some deities on the hills. Sometimes I just feel sorry for the Lord Himself for our actions and actions of our ancestors...
