- Migrants did not cross the Channel over the Christmas period for the first time since current records began.
According to Home Office figures, no Channel crossings took place on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day or Boxing Day this year. This is the first time this has happened since 2018.
It means there have now been 10 consecutive days without any arrivals recorded, with poor weather conditions potentially contributing to the lack of activity at sea.
The latest journey, on December 16, saw just one boat carrying 55 people make the journey to the UK from France.

Hey Jonathan, My first house was a 2 bed terraced in Maidstone, the house next door was used to house asylum seekers for the 4 years I lived there. In total around 20 people stayed there short term, anywhere between 3 weeks and 2 months. I’m as an American with migration/immigration being the bedrock of our country, there is a point where so much difference undermines cohesion. I live in the San Francisco area and my neighborhood is so diverse that it’s no community at all it’s just disparate groups of people living near each other. We’re no more a community than people staying in the same hotel are a community. Sure …we have great food. But when I lived in a more homogeneous part of the country, there was a neighborhood of people who came together. We spoke the same language and had similar celebrations and values.
Most places are like that now, push out or push down the folk who made the communities and just flood it with strangers makes every city more like a large train station , chaos. Cultures evolved over time, and festivals of culture to learn and share each others culture and gradual more natural migration allowed everybody to retain theirs and learn something appreciate others. But just blitzing everybody suddenly into one city decent folk with criminals and cultures with no communication is just deliberate chaos to destabilise communities. Local interests in that community so that land isnt stolen, contaminated, rights undermined, wages lowered and job security lost or any chance of work or own enterprise. It's simply globalist divide and rule. We all lose our culture and Ametica as a whole shows what chaos a culture based on theft and fear of the neighbour mixed with weapons creates . San Francisco was famous for it's local cultures and communities New York too. Every city around the world has been hollowed out especially in last 5 but generally from the mid 90s onwards.

The FIRST duty of any government is to pretect its country's borders. That is what makes a country a country - its borders. The border tells everyone where a country begins and ends. I travelled to work in London thirty years. London is unrecognisable to what it used to be. Its like walking around in a foreign country.

I can recall going to a conference in a Hilton Hotel in London and all the street signs were in both Arabic and English.
In an effort to get away from conference food I thought I'd eat at a local restaurant. I quickly realised I was the only white face on the street. Still I persevered and looked for a local quisine place that was well filled as a measure of quality. Found a place and went in. The place fell largely silent and patrons stared at me. Turned and walked out and hurried back to my hotel. It felt like returning to the Alamo. As I say...that's 20 years ago.

My neighbours here in NI are a Bulgarian family, Father, Son and Daughter. Here legally and are, in all honesty, great neighbours. They moved from a private rented home and then allocated a 3 bed council house in an area where we personally know are on the waiting list and have been for a long while. The father goes home regularly to work on his house back home in Bulgaria. Its instances like this that people get frustrated over.
I lived and worked in EU for a while. I had no social or housing entitlement. I did have entitlement to residency after three months because I had a job abd rental agreement because this was before Brexit. But I was never allowed to be "Resident". After years of no access to start my own employment or access to the health service and the economic crash made life very hard for everyone etc etc. I eventually returned to UK. As a UK citizen despite never getting residency in EU. You are not allowed NHS access for one year. I was homeless for three years. Yet not even allowed to register as such and desperate for shower toilet heating somewhere to cook. Even the never e di g waiting list non jrgwnt tbat I was allowed into , took me off after one year, a day I was getting my belongings out of storage, I still had no secure housing so post went to a friend's address. When I went into the council same day that I realised Id missec a letter and that I was still in same boat they said , wait for next letter, which said you are off the housing list. In total in UK and why I left originally I spent maybe 35 years on housing list always removed for not having children or not being BAME. I wanted a child but not with8ut a secure home to have one so I neber did have a child and so never eligible for housing. I tried to be self employed as I was always getting offered only short term work, after years of unpaid exploitation. Supposedly to show willing. I had a brief exchange with the last housing officer I challenged when I saw ew housing going to Bulgarians who had been in the country a fortnight. In that last three years when I wqs homeless I saw places HA in communities where my grandparents had grown up offer time and time again to Eastern Europeans who had homes back home. When i said why do councils allow cues jumping whe other locals have their lives ruined from insecure housing and getting passed over for jobs i was told there was no queue jumping I was being racist ( i am not it was merely factual) but when a local tradesmen said that the new houses latterly did go to new immigrants to the county over folk who have nowhere or been on lists for decades and I challenged a housing officer she said. The man gets the house because he is a labourer who can work in building other new houses. I said but if they have instant jobs they can buy a property or go for private sector lets. Something difficult to do if you have been off the electoral role and need a home to get a job! She implied that b2cause of my age I'd not be considered worth housing. Yet ive been reapplying for housing lists since the late 80s. When as is the case now for slightly different reasons, buying a place was an impossible dream for many young people. Incidently the new housing stock was so shoddily built that the developers had to sell half of them at a loss to the council. The Bulgarian tho got the decent built half dozen built by skilled trades not instant bodgers. When you give the few new houses that people have needed for decades away to the bodgers how does that make any difference to the housing crisis. ?? At one time I coukd have build better if id been allowed to self build with like minded but I cant afford land.....and the like minded have all mainly faced a brick wall (not a real one tho) and so reluctantly leave cos there are no options for poor self employed here if yiu have no premises or home. Nor if you had skills that have been deemed as surplus like teaching.... to one generation and wonder why they cant get them now. Local people have more overheads than foreigners. I see younger folk than me in the same boat ive been in but they will have debts of over £40,000 too just to be under employed and homeless. Pay people here proper wages, outlaw short term non renewable contracts. make decent housing available to people born here so that the can remain in the community they contribute to socially, economically culturally. The politicians know what they are doing. Deliberately making the lower middle and working class tread water or drown. All you get from pushing people to the margins is mass il, health in the working population and less families. Women get the brunt of this every generation.
Britain is geographically full! Do we destroy all our remaining green areas? Do we want to turn the whole country into housing? Where will our food and clean water come from?
What about drainage? Infrastructure? Our clean environment?
I am only one of a few English families left in our street. I am totally surrounded by immigrants. I don't hear English spoken much around the estate and it is me who feels like a foreigner. Trouble is, this is typical of many estates in many cities and towns. How can anybody seriously say that people no longer think immigration is an issue??

Why are foreign doctors seemingly so much more valuable than home grown ones?
Could we not provide scholarships to bright, low income family UK kids and 'grow' our own?
The ammount of foreign born doctors found to be faking qualifications, or sacked for malpractice is quite high. Incentive for homegrown nurses and doctors is needed.

They are often gangsters with no connections to anyone in New Zealand because they were taken to Australia by parents when still young children. Who looks after them upon arrival and after release? Ad if you believe those figures, I have a bridge to sell you. In 2007 the Supermarkets and Utilities estimated there were 15 million more people here than were accounted for in the official figures. I see no reason why that would have improved since then. So that is 25 million migrants NOT including the 2nd, 3rd and 4th generation immigrants who are not included in those migration figures as they were born here OR the many, many children they have had in the intervening 25 years. Once the older white British in their 60s and 70s start dying off there will be a major flip in demographics in this country. White Britons will be a minority within 10 years. That is a certainty.

I moved to the town I currently live in 15 years ago. When walking through the town there was a lack of dark skinned people however every other person (if not more) was Eastern European. Roll on 12 years to 2020 and its mostly jet black Africans or Middle Eastern people (mostly men). I walk everywhere within my town as I'm lucky enough to have what I need within walking distance and I really have noticed this shift in demographics. My town is just one of many.

Even just the fact that we are in the worst housing crisis in living memory, due to people coming faster than we can build new homes for, shows Jonathan is talking out of his smug backside. Maybe he is a property owner who just loves seeing his house price rise, but anyone facing homelessness, extremely high rent, or inability to get on the housing ladder, will put immigration as one of the top issues.
I worked in housing most of my life and I can assure you 25 years ago we had so many houses we were knocking good modern property down. Then that nice Mr Blair threw open the gates and the surplus disappeared in five years

My town has become unrecognisable in the space of five years. Homes were built and the immigrants invaded...they look really happy but for me it has become a home town i no longer feel at home in and would be happy to leave if i could live among my own people as before.
