People often make a mockery of 80's but in reality some movies were closely related to Society problems. Movies like Ghulami, Waaris, Batwara touched people heart. The best thing about 80s was the gap between Film Industry and TV industry which resulted in best period of TV Industry wow Malgudi days, Buniyaad, Ramayan, Mahabharat. Jaane kahan gaye woh din
Words are not enough to praise this masterpiece. Smita ji deserves national award for her portrayal of Paro. Younger generation of actress & writers must learn from screenplay & acting.
The storyline is awesome and really goes for today's generation: Murders for property is what we call insanity, not maturing. People should understand that property doesn't bind families together, it's *LOVE*

I'm going to be 47 next month in August 2021 and I don't remember that how many times I've watched this movie since 1988 when it was released. Whenever I want to feel real emotions, I watch it. Today I watched again after 2 years and weeping at the moment. All the characters were chosen accurately according to the roles to be played, especially Samita Patel and Umresh Puri. WHAT A WONDERFUL BLOCK BUSTER MOVIE! OUTSTANDING INDEED LIKE "SHOLEY"! Love from Hyderabad, Sindh, Pakistan. PEACE!!!!!
