You are a living encyclopedia of mining equipment! I've been watching your videos since many years, I guess I've seen them all, and I am always amazed not only by how much technical information you know about each piece of equipment but especially by how you manage to find these machinesbat all, which are probably scattered all over North America. I guess you must do quite a lot of traveling to prepare your material and I thank you for it.
Thank you, I'm glad you enjoy them! I make these videos for people like you who enjoy learning the history of these big machines. And yes, there is a bit of traveling involved for this hobby haha. Thanks!
16V71, man I'd love to hear that thing purr. Do you think you can get some shots of this machine in action? I'd love to hear the sound of that Detroit roar.
Always liked the Terex name. Remember seeing it in my Guinness Book of World Record book when I was a kid. Largest truck on planet or something........1977 Edition.
Another great documentary PA MINING 👍👍👍. although I'm more familiar with the 33-11, 33-100 and TR100. All built less than 40 miles from my house... Once again hello from Scotland 🏴
I had an opportunity to buy one of these trucks a couple years ago…it was in super good shape!..$15000…lol!!…but it’s just such a big truck for doing site work…nice old truck!
Looks old and worn but my guess is that it still performs well. Needs some TLC, maybe even rebuild the driver’s seat? Interesting video thanks for sharing enjoyed it a lot.
Another excellent video. It amazes me how you guys can get decades worth of use out of your equipment. How does the newer mining trucks (e.g. Cat, Liebherr, Terex) compare in quality/durability to older trucks such as this 33-10E? Btw... how you coming on that CAT 6060 excavator video I requested?
Older is always simpler to fix and maintain. No electronics, no big computers, just simple. Like anything, newer brings you the latest bells and whistles with a higher maintenance cost. I can't guarantee a 6060, but I may be able to bring you and RH340 ;) Thanks!
Good old Terex. Yet snouts great American name in heavy equipment lost to the past. Is there still any older Euclid stuff floating around out there or mostly the newer post name change equipment?
I wish they still were! After Hitachi bought Euclid, the lime green was slowly faded out in place of the orange. And Terex Trucks rolling into Terex Corp changed the color to white
ugh just like tv's, radios, cars and clothes. Never knew T was imported. Any info why it was Scotland? Maybe you could include prices paid when new, and if known how much it cost to deliver-setup xyz piece of equip
Blackwood Hodge used to be the Terex dealer in the UK. I was a Plant Fitter ( mechanic) in the 1970-1980s. Terex machines had been produced in Scotland for decades. I think the factory in Cumberland, Scotland started in the 1960s. Caterpillar had a Scottish factory producing the D8H 68A. The 68A tag meant it was UK made.
Thx for showing us that Scottish friend! I was always fascinated by the green color when I photographed those Terex trucks in mines.
I grew up to the kids construction vhs tapes and got fascinated when I saw the green terex's. Thanks!
@@PAmining I know that series. All tapes at home.
Thank you for making these videos. I’ve watched every single video, from the very beginning !
:) Great to hear! Thank you and your welcome!

Interesting! That most likely would have been the Terex 33-19 Titan

Looks like she could use some paint and another seat. Maybe just swap the driver and trainer seat, lol. Thanks for the great video

This truck had its days
Última vez que trabalhei, com um desses foi em 2002 na toniolo busnelo em Veranópolis RS na contratação de barragem hidroelétrica.
crazy how msha still allows these old trucks to be ran, but if the tailgate on a truck is squeaky you can't run the damn thing
Agreed
nice
Could you do a 4600 manitowoc dragline?
There is one on my Channel! Check it out! Thanks 👍🏻
Excellent video it can use a paint job and throw in a new driver's seat lol 👍👍👍😁😁😁

Terex production in scotland makes sense. Just imagine an enthusiastic scotsman saying the name Terex. TEEERRRRREEX. Fantastic XD
Haha yes! Thanks and glad you enjoyed it!
Enthusiastic Scotsman here we only roll the RRRs...
TERRREX thank you 😛🏴
Just curious, why are they not green anymore, but white in color?
I wish they still were! After Hitachi bought Euclid, the lime green was slowly faded out in place of the orange. And Terex Trucks rolling into Terex Corp changed the color to white

Terex factory is in Motherwell although under Volvo now. Cumbernauld was where Cummins factory was...
It doesn't take much to turn with these types of trucks right?
No, they are very easy to steer. Getting used to the truck and it's blind spots is probably the most difficult thing.
Now it is Volvo
