Not sure why people buy both Asus ROG Ally and Lenovo Legion Go. If you want a PC handheld for mostly on the road, ROG Ally is easier to carry about. Legion Go with its larger screen is more for suitable for using at home in different rooms. Also system software for the ROG Ally is more matured than on Legion Go. Because the former has been out longer on sale. But eventually the Legion Go system software will catch up.
If I bought the rog Ally or either the lenovo Legion go, I would buy both either way.
The lenovo legion go, and rog Ally both may be like PCs, but there are some differences
I was in bewteen the Ally, the Legion Go and the Deck OLED. I ended up picking the Ally. 4 days with it now and so far, so good. It performs great and it's hard to get it off my hands
The go has bigger screen more enjoyment
@@The_Theist_Scientistif you want big screen get a laptop more enjoyable and better performance.
@@The_Theist_ScientistI have both Legion & Ally & the bigger screen is nice but I actually prefer the Ally
@@SikhFPVwhy is that ur preference. I have sd oled. But I want to add one of these go or ally. Which is better for triple A?
Had the rog ally no longer than 3 days and already driver issue and screen issue
Just got the legion go yesterday and it has been very good for me. After setting it up and doing some updates it’s been a plug and play experience so far.
Only installed fc 24 and fortnite atm but the games run great and I didn’t really need to tinker with any settings.
Tonight I did some remote play from my Xbox series and played some gta 5 and it was the best looking gta 5 I’ve ever experienced. I have a 4K tv on my Xbox but this time k saw reflections and car rust that I never noticed before
The go is where its at. Its a more affordable versatile device without expensive proprietary external gpus
I’m still between go vs ally and I’ve been leaning towards ally but that fps mode looks super intriguing honestly
Have the Rog Ally and love it
Did the ally fix the sd card yet or you still have to rely on ssd?
My SD card is jam packed with ROMs and no issues yet
Yes, they did an update, which fixes the ssd from overheating by turning on the second fan
No my ally fried my sd card two day ago
@@Froow Was that with the new update that turns the second fan on? You do know you can adjust the fan curve even without the update to keep the card from frying.
@@2ndtonone1000 yea the rog ally was fully updated
Am really thinking of getting the lenovo legion go it will be my first
Same. I've done tons of research and both seem great. The bigger screen as well as multiuse options of the Legion Go are really appealing to me.
@@benchandler7007 I'm just scared because I'm not Tech smart that all
@@cs-ge5kx I have the legion go and it's been a long process of setting up because of windows 11. Not as plug and play as a steam deck so I hear. Just so you know! But plenty of guidance online.
I got the 2TB as a Christmas gift (a few days ago) thankfully, since I was going to buy it myself, but I'm absolutely loving it like crazy. Got a screen protector for it immediately. I've already used it more than my LCD steam deck which I used often too. I can play The finals, COD, etc with at least 80 fps locked in, and even was playing COD plugged in laying down at 1600p at 70+ fps. I'm glad I got it when I did rather than at launch because it's a more solid device overall now. New drivers, updates, 6gb ram option now etc. I also use it plenty for reading/movies/RUclips and overall media work. I can thankfully say that I haven't had any issues with it yet, besides maybe AMD Adrenaline not opening, but nothing that would make it frustrating/unusable! It was either the Legion Go, or the ROG ALLY which I was able to see in stores and it seemed absolutely amazing too, the demo was of FORZA and it was running around 30-40 FPS, but was on ultra and was not stuttering or tearing AT ALL which should be because of the VRR. For me though personally, I mainly wanted the bigger screen for gaming/media use, the interesting concept of removing the remotes and using them for games/tablet mode. I absolutely don't regret it and honestly see the Lenovo Go being the perfect option for someone who's going to be doing plenty of mixed gaming/media use, and the ROG ALLY being great for both too, but mainly for gaming because of the smaller screen, no touchpad etc. Both are amazing and strong devices, and it comes to preference at the end of the day honestly!
@@justinbaez34whats the point when you need to be plugged in 24/7 tho :/ might as well use a console or pc, i love my 1tv limited steam deck oled i get 3-8 hr battery and average 60 fps on most games
I’m really torn between the two they both have about the same FPS I like the rogs interface, but the go is so much bigger and has such a nice screen but it’s also $200 more expensive which one should I get
Inwill go for the go. Will get it next week🎉🎉
Asus rog ally ve lenovo legion go, Windows 11 çalıştıran iki oyun el konsolu.
Ekran: Lenovo legion go, 8.8 inç QHD dokunmatik ekrana sahip.
Pil ömrü: Lenovo legion go, 60 Wh pil kapasitesine sahip.
Bağlantı: Lenovo legion go, 2 adet USB Type-C portu ve 1 adet USB-A portu içerir.
Idk where you got those 68-92% better performance on the rog ally... with the LeGo docked to my monitor and mouse and keyboard at 8k hertz I still run modern warefare 3 at 150-180 fps with absolutely no stuttering or screen tearing. Your numbers here might be off lol
Had a Lenovo legion go for a week it’s going back. I have had charging issues, controller issues, buggy software. Windows is not ready. Going back to a steam deck. It’s a companion device and it just works.
Get the ally
Just bought steam deck oled😢 damn it...
I returned mine today... gutted, I wanted to love it.
You shouldn't feel as bad if you own a decent gaming laptop
Steam deck OLED is actually good also for the price. It is easily customizable and has the most comfortable grip too. It is also more quieter than the Legion GO and ASUS Rog ally’s fans combined. Overheating isnt something you should worry about either with the OLED version.
I'm gonna buy the SD OLED
The Legion GO and ROG ALLY can't even compare to the Steam Deck. All they have is power, errything else is worse. I'm in it mainly for battery, overall layout/ergonomics, and SteamOS. Steam Deck is the best place to play any game
IDGAF about playing modern AAA games on a handheld when I got a PC for that. There are so many games that I'd never have heard of or even think to play if it weren't for the appeal of handheld gaming. I refuse to play them anywhere else
It's unfortunate how people judge the performance of battery powered devices..
"How well can this handheld handle modern games that are designed to be played exclusively on the latest GPU technology and are, more than often, horribly optimized as well?"
It'd be nice to see gameplay of visual novels, JRPGs, platformers, roguelikes, etc on the Steam Deck. I mean, sure we know they'd all run at a perfect 60/90fps, but it's still nice to see it, especially for speculating battery life
Instead, all you see are the most graphically intense games out there, showcasing 30-40fps and like 1h-2h of battery life. 90% of all the games out there on PC are capable of running on the Steam Deck perfectly at maximum frame rate/settings with a lot of battery life
@@cqllel5186dear diary.
Me to
He said the Legion Go feels like it's "made of buttons" 😆
I feel like both devices are very good devices in their own way because I have both of them and they both function differently than the other so I think the Ally is going to be always better than the legion go just because the legion go is still young like only like a month and a half two months if that I think somewhere down the line the legion go has potential to be better or be the best or just be as good as the Ally or maybe head to head with the Ally
Will steam deck legion go, rog ally still be around in a few years or more?
@MiracleHall200 well if the company's keep it up with updates for them then yeah they just might have a chance to be around in a few years but if they don't then it would be hard to say we'll never know
@85crazytechlaz do you know who the company is, which made the steam deck, legion go, and rog Ally?
@85crazytechlaz will rog Ally have a future
@@GamerAnime200 valve made the steam deck, Asus made the Rog Ally, Lenovo made the legion go....but I'm pretty sure you know that
I chose the ROG ally over the Lenovo legion go.
The UI is better and it’s more portable plus less heavy, plus bring a portable 100W charger if ur playing games and connect it to the rog ally. The ROG ally looks less bulky and the Legion Go looks like it’ll be hard to play competitive games compared to the rog ally based on its design
The Legion Go is actually the more portable device when you detach the controllers 🤔
Thanks your review . I choose legion go . Because battery life . Screen refresh, resolution ,screen inch .i just buy it now
The LGO has 144 Hz screen while the Ally has 120 Hz. The LGO doesn't have VRR, though. That's a deal breaker for me.
I currently have both and cannot figure out which one I want to return 🤣
The go
@@theo5675I’m leaning towards returning the go, yeah. The screen is way better, and battery is a bit longer, but everything else falls short of the ally.
Ally feels better in hand, better software, speakers, joysticks/buttons, and is much quieter, more portable, and I experience wayyyyyy less bugs with it.
@@theo5675 Ofc you'll say the go without providing anything
@m4x_payn3_enjoyer I think most people including sam lake woule agree that the Ally is overall better than the Go
@@m4x_payn3_enjoyergo is better for the screen, desktop replacement, and battery life but software is still a work in progress. Ally has been out longer so the software is much better, but smaller screen (with VRR) and worse battery, but also is more portable and imo more comfortable.
Yikes no track pad for the ally, that’s a no go
Legion go ram speed is also faster.
SD reader on the ally still frying SD cards?
Yes
I haven't heard any issues in the most recent batches (R8+ models). Seems they reduced the probability for it.
I haven't had any issues since last 4 months
No
I got my Ally 4 days ago and I've put an empty SD card on it just for testing. It never got hot and it still works normally. My Ally got warm sometimes depending on the game and settings, but the SD card is still perfect.
Anyone wanna trade rog ally with legion go?
You in london? I've got the ally, I want the GO..
RIP my ears. Had the volumed turned up because the video was quiet then the baked in S%$#%y Labs add blew out my ear drums.
Ugh, who games oversea on vacation?
144 hertz is great :)
The Legion Go is a disgusting fingerprint magnet
Lenovo all day long .
The rog ally is way better
Alright, state all the pros and cons
@m4x_payn3_enjoyer biggest pro it weights 200 grams less. The ally is already heavy enough no way I could enjoy playing the legion go on the go.
@@deathmetalfarmer "State all the pros and cons" not just one pro that the device has
@m4x_payn3_enjoyer that's the only one that matters if I can't comfortably play a portable there is no reason to buy it. Don't feel like powerlifting while I play videogames.
@@deathmetalfarmer So it's mainly subjective? The guy up there said "way better"
