Wonderfully filmed and presented. I’ve seen MANY videos and none have come close to explaining so well how to apply plaster. The video flowed well, the angles were very helpful, and I understand everything. Well done, and thank you!
I love the sounds of this video! I was a painter/sheetrock finisher for about 20 years and always loved the sound of troweling mud, but trowels sounds for straw plaster is much better! :)
SO non-toxic! No outgassing - ever. And no toxic fumes, if there were a fire. Biodegradable to the point where you could compost your walls.
Dude, I never, NEVER, turn on notifications on the channels I am subscribed to, but I just did for this channel. Can't wait for more videos.
Great work to get this out in a professional format, this is what the Ecological building movement needs. Beautiful work guys.
Beautifully done guys...very artistically shot. Truly expresses the nature of the materials and the craft inherent in the process.
I am honored you think so, very nice words thanks Himat.
The filmmaking is so incredible! You are great storytellers! Use if sound is incredibly instructional and adds to the excitement of the viewing. Thank you!

@@TheNitoProject I found small rocks are ok.
I have a big super hard brick of about 30 lbs I made.
It is 10 to 12 inches X 14 or 15 inches X 4 inches thick.
I just shoveled three or four shovels of soil on my Arizona mountain property and added some cut dried long mountain grass and water and small sand like rocks from the top of one of the Any mounds and it turned out super sticky. It would not fall off my hand upside down when trying to shake it off.
Right away, I said, this is the kind of stuff I need to build my
20X 30 cabin to stay warm in..
I think I would like to do a combination of Adobe bricks, Strawbale and Cob.
Make roof real strong and put metal on roof with wood box frames on top of metal, then add Strawbales and another layer of sheet metal. I am not sure how it goes on the roof. I need to Google the video I partially seen.. want to make a super Cheep mountain retreat for anytime during the spring, summer, fall, winter as well..
Something that a couple people can build in a short time from May to October.
Add windows, two doors and 8 feet of porch & awning all around cabin.
Part of porch can be a screened in porch to stay away from summer mosquitos and June bugs while pickin banjo and sipping iced sweet tea. 😊😊
This is one of my favorite RUclips channels!
I come from a real mud plaster user community, my original old house was all mud plaster. Clay is ok. We use finer sand which is almost silty, and no straws at this stage. The fine straw comes from cow dung, maybe around 1/4 is cowdung in the mix. The finish is like cement. And then lime wash.
I thought lime is toxic
@@ozziegreen4850It is, but it should be fine if you're wearing gloves (I think)
Lime is Caustic and dangerous but not toxic.
Amazing videos! Thanks again for all you post... probably some of the best Earthen/natural material videos online.
That looks so good. I'd love that in my home. I'm going to try a section and see how it goes.

Tremendous potential for so many applications.

I like how a lot of detail is shown on working it in.
absolutely amazing
Mixing in the straw...way cool!
I always wondered how this was done! Very interesting video
You’d laugh at my cob! But it’s been up for two years now no problems- no tools just Ramona’s feet! I found red clay, so later on I will do second coat- mine is crooked uneven, no straw. Wild grass, very primitive
But you did it. Starting is the key I think.
And I bet, beautiful! And built with your own two hands...we...feet.lol
Liked and subscribed! Beautiful job.
Wonderful tutorials guys. I’ve learned so much from your videos and finished a couple of walls of my own. Keep up the videos!
very nice!
wow! its awesome. Hope it covers all in other videos :)
beautiful trowel handling
Beyond impressed
Aha, this looks very similar to some Japanese plaster techniques I've seen, very cool. Straw instead of seaweed for glue, but otherwise looks like Japanese plaster. I like it!
My soil is about that color as well at 6800 feet 🐾🐾 on the mountain. Nice job, your hired to help me friend..LOL
Excellent.
Excellent
Splendid!

Great
Nice
Nice.
Muy buen trabajo.
Well done
Love this Bro 💪👊🔥💥💯👏🙏
Very nice video enjoyable
Again. Amazing. What surface is best to do this over? Thanks!
Gracias!
Not enough videos coming from this guy
I think I have said many times how amazing you guys are. I have a question? My plaster that looks similar to the above dusts a little to the touch. What could be the reason? I will probably linseed oil it at the end to stop dusting but still I wander why it dusts as is as you say above that it should be dust free. Thank you for your time.
We love cob homes of course we enjoyed your video
bless you
Hey bro very nice very nice I like it your work I like in net nearby nature great work god bless you ✌😀🌹🌺💋💋🌼💮
Loved the video. Can I cut about 2 feet of drywall from bottom, fill it with cob and do the wall the way you did it in my townhome? ( Basically The bottom floor is flooded during Ida ( 550-650 SqFt area ), I saw some mold at the back of the kitchen cabinetry and some other areas, though i applied vinegar + baking soda solution to get rid of the mold, I was told I should cut the drywall, let it dry and redo it to prevent mold and possibly unhealthy air. Is the cob doable for this whole project? Thanks for all the input
Lovely work, But i would like to also see how the base coat is done.....before the finishing or second coat.
Marshall town my favourite trowel, they feel good in your hand. I used to use tyzac trowels I troweled for 15 yrs but after having cancer I don’t do it anymore it’s too physical
I have binge watched this channel and now have run out of videos :( Notifications on!
LOL, now I don't fell bad there's at least one other person haha, was late to work, cause I had to finish one, haha
@@berealrelentless6237 Priorities! lol
Exposing the straw 24 hours later with a damp cloth...nice work!
wow very nice.. is the surface rain resistant?
Your cob layer is nice and levelled. How do you achieve the levelness ?
Beautiful nature work how days will it be there?
Great work!
