I'm a senior high school teacher, adviser to Grade 12 students and I'm in charge of scouting the Grad Song for the kiddos. IMMEDIATELY this song came to mind. It's anthem-like, positive, and just overall an invigorating song to shout to on a day of celebration and new beginnings. So excited to practice with the kids!

ワンオクで一番好きな曲です。
個人的にはワンオクにはこういう洋楽チックな路線が好み。やっぱり海外でここまで名を上げてる日本のバンドは少ないからこそ英語で洋楽っぽいメロディで海外で味わった事を通した感情、takaの想い、考えを歌にしてほしい。
分かる、日本語ガンガン混じってるのもいいけど日本なのにここまで海外の曲調に寄せて尚且つ違和感ない(個人的に)のが驚きと同時に聴いててとても楽しい！

They changed a lot, and personally isn't my cup of tea, but I still love how much passion they still putting in their songs. I will keep listen to their old stuff, but I'm really happy for what they achieved so far

People don't realize that the band want to improve and doesn't want to keep making the same music again and again. That happened to LP. People say they make the same music. They changed, people say why did they changed a lot. You can never satisfy everyone. No one can. But music changes every time. People change and so as music genre on every band or artist.
Yeah and remember what happened to LP after not even their fan show their love and appreciation. Your band will be gone forever.

The change of One Ok Rock [and Linkin Park] was to become more oriented to mainstream Pop Rock whereas the lyrics are simplistic, repetitive and, therefore, easy to follow. The beats are not unique, imo, and can associate with the mainstream music today. Is there any change between the old and the new OOK? Yes, but not a unique change, at all. The old One Ok Rock [and Linkin Park] was unique, had deeper lyrics, energetic where you could philosophize with the lyrics like as if it were a book.
So in my opinion, no, the current OOK [and Linkin Park] doesn't want to improve and "keep making the same music again and again". It is as if they copy+paste the current mainstream music. It seems like they only want fame and money nowadays.
It is really a shame. I miss "the old era" of those bands. Still, I do listen to "the old" OOK and "the old" Linkin Park occasionally and love them. They should have kept making similar music, again and again, especially OOK; they never introduced "themselves" to the mainstream.
Edit: note that when I say current LP, I mean after the change until Chester's death.

Taka's English sound so good his improved a lot
Singing-wise he has improved but he still can't speak English that well but he's getting better definitely.

Watched the live version on the Tokyo Dome broadcast. They were smiling so much while performing this song. If they're happy, I'm happy! Can't wait for OOR to explore other genres and also come back to their roots soon as they promised.

Yeah i've been listen to them for what 8 year now? Obviously i love their old style it what got me hook in the first plac. but this new style i feel wierd at first but it keep growing on me. well it might just because i listen to wide range of music genre as long as they're good and one ok rock is without a doubt one of the best band i have listen to

It's been a long time I haven't visited One Ok Rock's videos. But I do know that my admiration for them as a band remain the same. I went to their concert at the beginning of this year, great venue with 20k people standing under the rain and cold rocking with them. Years have passed and a lot have changed but it is still amazing how their live performances still deliver the same energy and inspiration. It's not just about music, it's about spirit, a very strong one, making them one of a kind band. If you have a chance try to come and see them on stage, you will see how they live and dream.

Hang Mai I would prefer the Japanese lyrics not romanji as I follow a lot of Japanese artists.. Kenshi Yonezu, Perfume, Sekai No Owari, Baby Metal, Pay Money To My Pain, and yes, even Taka's little brothers band sometimes.
So I would much prefer actual Japanese lyrics.
I've followed OOR for over 8 yrs so prefer the Japanese language

Awesome video. The song is really good. I prefer their older stuff over their new sound but I can’t say I’m displeased with it. They are one band that eventhough their sound has changed I still enjoy and listen to. They are really talented and passionate. I love them a lot. 😊

Maybe it's my years of being a Primadonna and being used to a band playing with style and sound. But I don't see why supposed One Ok Rock fans are complaining about how they are "different" now. Different doesn't mean bad, different means growth, if you stay in the same old place you grow old pretty fast. More importantly it's fun when a band tries new things and a new style. You don't have to like the song but you should not hate the band for doing what they love so long as they are actually loving what they are doing.
RoMayDrako Sugar Ray comes to mind. That's why I'm mostly not pleased with this new route they've taken. Given how they've done 7 or 8 records though, i don't outright hate it. I don't like American pop music in the first place.
Before they were different from pretty much everyone else. Now they're different from what they used to be, but the same as everyone else. They traded in what made them unique and interesting, and replaced it with the most popular, over-done, generic shit they could find. At least, that's the impression i get.

They have always been saying this from the beginning: They want to go global. I miss their old music of course, because that's the ONE OK ROCK we all grew up knowing and loving. Not a lot of people realize this but to go global means you need to keep growing, they can't afford to be stagnant in their music. This is why a lot of bands need to change their style, they need it for survival and they also want to know how far they can go with their abilities, they want to discover more of their potential.
I'm not disappointed in ONE OK ROCK, I am proud of them. I'm more impressed by how they are able to make an awesome switch like that and still sound great.
They just keep improving, in my honest opinion, and that's what going global means.
I'll always be supporting these boys even if I get old. I've loved them for a long time and I'm proud of them. Love u, ONE OK ROCK ♥

Eventhough I still enjoy and love what they made, it really feels like they're moving on with their genre. I'm happy they can output this kind of genre with the exploration they're doing, but a part of me really wants them to continue j-rock as a side as well. They're my life with j-rock. I don't want that to completely die.
