That is some good detail right there, and also for real Ryuji really is best bro. He takes a vorpal blade BY HIMSELF with no persona just to save Ren in P5R, dude is loyal and funny.
Cool thing I learned late in my playthrough: it's not animated, but Ryuji walks with an audible limp. If you go to the Thieves Den and transform into him, his walking soundclip is off-kilter. Everybody else's is even.
According to Max from Cassandra's interview with him, he can't say the "F" word because he's a good boy. The part where he almost says the "F" word was cut off. Edit: Spoiler, he finally said it in Strikers!
Honestly, how is it HIS fault that the explosion actually just kicked him out of the Palace instead of killing him? Those girls had no reason to beat up Ryuji like that. I mean, he just risked his life to save the whole Team. Gotta give him some credit there.
I’m also concerned how none of the boys tried to help out Ryuji in that situation. Not even Ren. I was just thinking “Guys, can’t you tell them to stop? Ren, you’re supposed to be the leader here, wtf?”

I have nothing but love for Ryuji, he is the type of friend that you would always want in your corner. His loyalty, his sense of humor, and fun personality always put a smile on my face which why I think he rightfully earned the title of best boy of Persona 5.
Ryuji has his flaws,like not being too bright,not knowing when to keep things to himself,etc.,but he is the first to rush into a fight and he would do anything for those he cares about.
Ryuji's greatest moment of character moment and development came in Strikers, where finally hit the end of bis long character arc. And got to scream "Shut the FUCK up" at someone without self censoring. Honestly, astounded his Persona didn't instantly evolve Also, I ship him and Ann hardcore. The way they act,it really makes me wish at least once I had a "Mom, Dad, stop fighting." dialogue choice
I remember I had Ryuji at like rank 7 or something and everyone else at 2-3 around after kamoshida’s confession. I always seem to immediately love these types of characters, and my longtime best friend is actually a lot like this archetype. That’s probably the reason.

I kind of wish that the final dungeon in persona 5 royal wasn’t Dr. Maruki but Ryuji. If you look throughout the entire game, you’ll see so many times were people insulted him and basically just treated him like crap in general. Hell, even in combat he can’t even get a compliment without it coming off as backhanded. I kind of wished at one point he just stayed in his home for a while and the gang went to visit him and out of curiosity check to see if he has a dungeon and when they do, they find that the greatest enemy to Ryuji’s mind was themselves and how much they bullied him and how little they take into account as to what he’s done.
It would be the ultimate realization for the Phantom Thieves to see what Ryuji sees them as. Ann would see herself acting without a care for what others think about her behavior. Makoto would realize Ryuji sees her as this barbaric punisher and feel like she's turned into the executioner instead of the one who brings justice. Futaba would basically be like a snake in the grass, always preying for the backhanded remark. Yusuke would be seen as so eccentric that he barely listens to the words of others, which would make him realize he does get caught up in his own ideals a bit too much. Haru could very well be the most dangerous one because Ryuji thinks Haru will actually be the one to kill him just because she gets pissed off. Morgana would constantly be spouting insults towards the Phantom Thieves and preying on their insecurities without restraint. Joker would be the biggest mirror because he'd see himself getting praise and special treatment from his teammates that isn't replicated with Ryuji. Everyone would realize if Joker gets to be treated well, it's unfair if they don't do so for Ryuji. In the end, Ryuji as the final boss would make the Phantom Thieves realize, they're no morally righteous symbols of justice. They're humans with flaws and their mistakes almost cost them one of their own. Having that experience would change them all for the better.

I feel like Ann is actually the first one to actually understand you. Sure, you meet Ryuji first, but until after Ann joins you, I feel like he's mostly just your friend because he sees you as a 'troublemaker' and nothing more, just like him. I'm not saying he's a bad friend, I just feel like Ann is a little more understanding
