She's not really underrated, Quite alot of people love her, But they can't bring themselves to say that Ann is "best girl".
Paleoclinē trust me, there’s A LOT of people who hate Ann and they can be more vocal than people who actually love her. Also, anything being considered “underrated” doesn’t mean they’re the definitive best. I only say she’s underrated compared to the popular ones like Makoto and Futaba considering how much they outshine girls like her and Haru. I just find Ann more appealing and interesting in terms of character. The term “Best Girl” is subjective anyway since they all shine in their own way.

What I love about Ann is how authentic she is. She is outgoing and dresses however she wants, despite how conservative the society she lives in is. She is so not used to being insincere that her acting/lying skills are TERRIBLE, and that’s honestly so cute! I wish the game let her character shine more rather than constantly reducing her to a fanservice material
If I ever met someone like Ann, I'd do my damnedest to make her happy.

Ann is my favourite, I think her personality is really nice too, she always supports Shiho but also speaks up for herself when she gains confidence.

In jamieztocool persona awards show in vote for favorite p5 companion she was the last. Yes, that means she was bellow morgana somehow (and I doubt that people voted there for utility, otherwise morgana & Ann both would be a lot higher) :p She's not the best and I don't think too many people dislike her, but she's always forgotten and downplayed despite being the first female confidant to join very early in the game.

Ann is best girl. Her personality's so lovable that you can't help but feel charmed. Especially her smile. She deserves all the hugs and cuddles and even a kiss or two. Also, the fact that she's a cute, and sexy natural blonde earns extra points in my book.

I like to imagine a headcanon if Joker romances Ann and they end up having kids, Morgana would gladly watch them. Because in the Valentine's day scene if the player picks Ann, Morgana may be sad, but he trusts Joker wholeheartedly, so I like to think that Morgana would take the role of protective guardian of their offspring.@@attilamert6973

She gives off the vibe that she‘s either the cutest, most amazing gf you could have, or, if you don‘t romance her, no hard feelings, she will still be your best buddy together with Ryuji. She’s definitely my 2nd waifu. Haru used to be 2nd with futaba being first for me still, but Ann makes me feel confident about myself, is a strong woman who doesn’t want to be sexualized(although I don’t like when the game specializes her more) along with her being the strongest in my group and her VA is one of my favorites
I wouldn’t say that she doesn’t want to be sexualized. More so just wants to take her sexuality in stride while still wanting to be seen as herself, which isn’t a bad thing! :D

all fascinating reasons to say Ann is waifu material, but I have one that's similar to number 2 (more like a real number 2) Ann is caring period. during the first school day cinematic Ann was lost in her own problems (which was made apparent with the arrival of Mr pervert and teacher pervert) but she spied a stranger AKA Mr protagonist looking (well...staring) at her. rather than be angry at it she seemed more flattered and despite the stress of her situation she gives him a smile (my wallpaper) which makes me think that she's a nice girl period. as I got to know her through her confidant social link I felt that she was closer to Joker in personality with a strong desire to help out anyone in need, but the way Kamoshida used that desire against her by literally holding Shiho hostage and Yusuke making it hard for her to want to help him nearly broke her. even so she never lost her empathy for the suffering of others

She sweet personality really made me like her and Ik she is a airhead at times but I think that’s what makes her more likable atleast to me
We all know that Ann might not be the smartest in the group (especially compared to the incredibly diligent and intuitive Makota and super genius Futaba), but Ann's emotional IQ, awareness, and empathy far surpasses all the other phantom thieves. Ann's relationship with Shiho is probably the prime example, but you can see examples with how she communicates and sympathizes with Futaba. Moreover, she repents on how she treated Makoto and made a personal apology to her.
We all need friends like, and/or BE friends like that.
I always thought before playing p5 she would be this super annoying girl but no I’m glad I was wrong she’s a sweet heart I can agree both Makoto and Futaba pretty much stole the spot light from our other members but I feel like Ann’s character before makes up for it i already liked more then both both Futaba and Makoto

I believe the only other natural blonde in the Persona series was Lisa Silverman back in P2 (correct me if I'm wrong) which interestingly also has a red theme, just like P5, the P2 duology makes up the entire latter 2/3 of yhe first Persona trilogy, i guess it would only make sense that it bares similarities to both 4 and 5. As if that wasn't interesting enough, Both Lisa and Ann are of the Lovers Arcana....
