'96 Bitter Beings release their new album, Return to Hellview, on June 14th via Nuclear Blast Records and bring a new life to the original CKY tracks.' fucking if they all sound like this put them back in the grave
Bro is only adding filters, screams and synth to stuff that already had it. Remasters are for rewrites and accuracy fixes, hard to fix perfection my man.
This was too sped up as well. That middle section in the original is like an acid trip. This one was going through the motions. Still love Deron though.
Ultimately its His song and honestly think about how many times hes played this song live after 20-30 times you start switching shit up vocal melodies breakdowns things like that We still have the OG Flesh into Gear and now we’ll be getting a new different version..I personally think its dope but that seems to not be the consensus at least for the comment section…Can’t wait til the full album drops..I’ll be picking it up for sure ❤️✌️
Well said. I think the bass and the drums were louder than the guitars and could be a mix issue. Otherwise I think the speed and its somewhat different take on the song was great.
To everyone wondering, Deron is re recording a whole album of his older music. I think it comes out in May. Much love everyone! Alliance for life! Edit- my bad its June 14th 👽 tracklist here Return To Hellview runs as follows: "Flesh into Gear" "Sink into the Underground" "Shock and Terror" "Inhuman Creation Station" "Suddenly Tragic" "The Way You Lived" "Dressed in Decay" "Tripled Manic State" "Shippensburg"
Bought the whole album. Huge fan of CKY and it wasn’t the same without Deron. In all honesty, the vocals are the weakest part of these re-recordings. Deron’s original vocals were hard and gritty. These sound strained.
Idk man I feel this take was a little muddy. I think the bass and the drums really overpowered the guitars. Not pretending that I know anything how music is done and processed, but maybe it's a mixing issue or something else entirely? CKY is and always be one of my favorite bands but let's not forget who was the brains behind the music, Deron Miller. CKY wasn't the same after he left and 96BB already made a couple great albums. Maybe this is a way to stand out differently than his former band.
@@DeanH92 well CKY with Chad singing is also very bad, Deron is the voice of CKY. 96BB is more CKY than this "cover band" called CKY with Chad and Jess 😂
@@sprayedi Both bands are dragging the name through the mud and I wish they’d all stop embarrassing themselves. They're both cover bands. You've heard the best, now hear what's left.
@@DeanH92 I love CKY but i totally understand that they just werent meant to be lmao. Chad Ginsberg is still making cool music though for what its worth
Why does Deron keep doing these weak ass flat vocals it sounds like an a.i. song? Maybe I just answered my own question. His singing is what really killed Synergy Restored for me, at some point I just tuned him out and the songs became white noise.
Theres a lot of complaining and it’s understandable after years of hearing the original. It not much difference except for the mixing. Theres more low end and mids. As well as stuff panned more left and right. Peoples voice change with years. This still sounds amazing.
The original is sonically just a better experience. Honestly, the vocals are the least of my grievances. The programmed drums sound awful, just like in all of his solo music. The mix is thin, yet somehow muddy, and the tempo is too fast. There's just no reason to listen to this more than once.
@@rnwtnthe muddiness comes from the instrumentals all having similar eq. And since theres vocals and guitars both panned left and right its gonna get lost in the mix because each instruments need their own space to be heard in the mix. The chorus sounds cleared since the vocal track is dead center. Keyboard would also benefit from that so not be buried under the guitar.
It’s like they don’t remember the OG demo version of this song in CKY2k that literally has those same effects on the backing vocals…😂 I smiled really big when I heard the effect was back 😊 got me all nostalgic!
Oh my fucking God... This is horrible. It sounds like it's one of those early 2000s limewire downloads over a dial up modem. How the fuck is Nuclear Blast backing this?!
@@cass6790This band certainly has not been around for a decade. Why are you spreading misinformation? No one left "cos of deron". They left because injury, financial dissatisfaction, and the inability to adapt to consecutive months on the road.
This will never not be a good song, however this versions pretty poorly executed mix wise. The drums feel very metered out in comparison with the original. It almost feels a bit rushed and has kinda lost that looser funkier groove. Also the vocals sound buried underneath everything else, which is a shame cause Deron’s a great vocalist, but in this case the line “and my voice is destroyed by confinement of sound” is somewhat true (intentional? Possible but not likely). I do like the broad use of stereo but there doesn’t seem to be much “space” to hear the instruments individually. I can only describe it as though all the instruments have been “melded” together (if that even makes any sense at all, I’m no audio engineer) Still a good attempt and interesting to hear in a vaguely different context and I’m excited to hear the other songs
I feel like, in Deron's mind, people will listen to this one now and keep the rest of CKY from earning streams on the original... which, if true, is misguided at best. Just write new songs.
@@jerhew8he's written about 4 albums with 3 bands after leaving cKy & sadly I don't think many even know about them. The last two were very cKy-esque, all original songs.
Unpopular opinion. I like this. I liked the original too.
If this accomplished anything, it at least introduced me to the original version of this song.

Nostalgic as fuck, but the original vox is way better imo 🙌

Ah.. man. Should’ve left this one in the 2000’s. The original was so much better. 😮
Not even gonna try to skate around it. This sounds like absolute ass soaked water bro.
Why do the vocals sound like ai? What the fuck is this?
Needs chads touch and jess’s drums. Derron, just go back to CIG & Jess and make up already u khunt. This 96bb shit just aint cuttin it.
Jess’s drums 😂😂😂
Original 96BB music is great, I wouldn’t let this deter you.
Why is this on Nuclear Blast?
Ooo ai generated slop video. Nice.
How to beat a dead horse for 28 years....
I don’t mind this but i wish the vocals sounded thicker in the mix
no
Hopefully the other tracks don't have these weird vocal effects.
That's the only thing I like about this track. The effect is used on the original Sinking Fast demo
@@chas1939I agree
Hopefully they don't use your shitty opinion
Ah man, sounds too produced. Just sing the damn song, Derron!
he can't sing it anymore hence the effects to make up for that lol
Bro is only adding filters, screams and synth to stuff that already had it. Remasters are for rewrites and accuracy fixes, hard to fix perfection my man.
Sounds like you removed way too many vox frequencies and there is a lack of articulation as a result.
I was excited and then i heard the first 20 seconds and i'm not excited at all.
"new" single 🤣
why bother

It's Chad's production, he was key to giving the band that sound much as people like to praise Deron
these vocals are hotdog water

Whats going on here?!
Deron is re recording an album of CKY songs.
Isn't this song 20 years old?
No?
