Hence you interact more and play lesser songs. On the other hand, you play songs but also have interaction with the Virtual Singers through the Diva Room. To be honest, Diva Room is much better than the interaction in Diva X. Now for Future Tone, it is a port from the Arcade version. In the Arcade, you don't interact with the Virtual Singers. Instead, you insert credits onto the machine, and play a certain number of rounds of songs, until you game over or reached the max number of rounds. You will see why most recommend FT than Diva X, and that is because of its content. FT has a WAY larger song list, of about 200+ songs. Because of this, it has way more content than Diva X, which makes it better since you can play as much as you like and you can still more things it can offer.
