The order for $400 interior refurbishment plan is for existing 40 widebodies and 60 narrow bodies of Air India that cater to International or premium routes. While 25,000 seats order is for refitring on remaining narrow bodies or non premium routes to keep the entire fleet fresh. This is announced in CAPA Aviation Indian summit. Indigo has mentioned they are going to cater to business classes now but has no specific dates or retrofitting plan announced. Mostly it will come along with new A350 orders.

Firstly by global standard 250KMPH is semi HSR and not HSR, secondly this project cost has already exceeded more than 22 BN usd cost that is at cost of payers tax money, Why is gov keen to introduce Substandard ICF Vande bharat based Semi hsr on HSR tracks??? We all know the quality control of the ICF. I think people of India after all those tax payer money thrown in HSR deserve those world class Shinkansen.
Mumbai Ahmedabad HSR is NOT cancelled. E5 Shinkasen train sets have been ordered to manufacture as per the agreement. Keep in mind this project is being built with ₹85,000 loan with unbelivable 0.1% loan from Japan with first repayment starting after 15 years of project commencement. In spite of Udshav Thakare govt delaying this project it is now back to fast progress. We cannot have this much free funding from anyone and hence the project terms and conditions will continue. The added cost burden will off course be borne by us for the mistakes by Uddhav Thakare but this project is base for all national high speed rail mission with 10 routes planned for next 25 years. IT HAS TO BE COMPLETED TO GET REQUIRED LEARNING AT ANY COST. Very likely India will produce its own trains running at 250 kmph which is high speed rail as per international definition and will run on same type of ballastless tracks as that this route. So in future trains can be upgraded for higher speed and tracks will already be compatible.
