This man is my favorite you tuber . Always cheerful and very real about the money can cost as a gardener. Robbie isn’t always pushing expensive products on us and pretending that it’s normal to be getting greenhouses and hot tubs and raised beds and millions of flowers and evthg being free makes gardening a lot easier. I guess I like gardeners to stay real . Thx Robbie. Don’t ever change .
To each their own, of course. If other gardeners content feels unattainable or does not resonates with you, it’s not for you. There’s no reason to speak disparagingly about those content creators, as someone else likely connect with their content. I’m glad you found gardening content that you do enjoy and find relatable!
I wasn’t unkind. I’m a true British gardener ( a good one ) living in the dreadful humidity of Louisiana 😢 Robbie makes me feel better about myself as a good gardener but without the thousands in the bank, thats all
Hi Robbie! That planter with the topiary, salvia, mini supertunias and sweet potato vine are perfect there. You got such a great deal on the topiary. I love that pot. You did good! The vertical interest is awesome. It looks so much better, and the colors add so much. Thank you so much for sharing!
Oh I love that refreshed planter! Love all topiaries and the under plantings look great with it! I can’t seem to keep a topiary alive so I have to enjoy every one else’s. 😂
Robbie, first of all, I love the stone planter. The shape and the heights is perfect there. And that you added topiary for height really makes a statement. Good job you. Perfect!
Oh what a great deal!! I'm shocked you found plants that still look so good this time of year. The spot in front of the door would be cute with a Buffalo check/plaid welcome mat. 😀
Robbie I buy Eugenia plants every year from Walmart. I get 2 of the 2 ball and one of the 3 ball. They are a great plant. I have to use the as an annual because they need to come in the winter. I have tired over wintering them in a spare bedroom, they were fine for about 3 moths then they lost all of the leaves. I would think they will do great all year where you live and I’m so jealous lol.
Robbie - I have that magnolia planted in my zone 7 b yard in North Carolina, and mine blooms from spring until fall. So not just two flushes, but flushes throughout the growing season!
Very pretty container planting. You can save the fern and Hosta plant just set them out in a shaded location in the garden cut the fern back. That’s what they do at the garden center when flowers don’t look there best that cut them back and the flowers get a second round of new growth and blooms.
GM my sister and I love gardening we are in zone 8 DFWArea Your kind personality is so down to earth fun to watch ❤ I have three of the topiary eugienia I recommend storing them inside during winter months they will freeze see tag 🍄🌺🪺 happy planting
Hi Robbie, I really enjoy your RUclips videos! I love the way the white bench stands out against the dark fence maybe instead of planning on painting it you could just pop it in in front of a section of fencing?!
Great container! It’s perfect in that spot by the door. My Magnolia “Genie”, similar to your Ricky is also getting a second flush of blooms. But mine also has spider mites!
Looks beautiful, Robbie! I wanted to suggest that you paint that door the green that you’ve used other places. I think it would be a nice pop of color and would tie in everything else. Have a great day!❤
I always feel so bad throwing out plants but you are right it’s the cycle of life in the 🪴 garden. The repotting looks very pretty. Have a wonderful day. 🌺🌼🍄😎
Robbie love the planter!!! Why not paint your back door the beautiful green of the flower boxes? It will make it look like a new door until you get one and tie everything together. Just a thought. Love your channel! Sunny😊
Yes painting the door green would be nice, someone else also has suggested that, How lovely that would look. Come on Robbie time to paint your door 😜🌹x
I bought 2 of the Eugenia topiaries early spring at Home Depot for $29 mine are only two balls they were doing so good in front of my house, I went on vacation 1st of June and secured them and placed them where they could get some shade, I live in Alabamas gulf coast zone 9a and it’s hot and humid. I’m still away for a couple weeks. My Dil says one isn’t looking so good 😢 I have that same type of Magnolia newly planted this spring and it bloomed beautifully it would be nice to see it blooming again. Btw it’s humid here also in Ohio,I’m about 45 minutes away from your visit to cultivate in Columbus. Your topiary looks wonderful the height looks good against that wall. I kept trimming mine to make it tight and compact boo hoo it was so pretty.
The refresh made such a difference!! Totally brightened up the back porch. You reminded me summer is not over and we can still add to the garden. We are having 2 days in the 90's with high high humidity so when that passes I'll be back out.
Yes, we are less than half way through summer! 1st day of summer was June 20. That was 39 days ago. 1st day of Fall is Sep 22. We have 53 days of summer left! It always kind of surprises and annoys me when people start saying summer is over at the beginning of August. 😃
The salvia looks like Mystic thats the generic version of PW Mystic Spires. Love the planter and I agree with user-yv, your channel is still relatable regarding financially keeping it real. thank you.
That vertical interest is PERFECT there. Love it! 💚But why not just cut back the other plants from pot and transplant them in a better location? Their root system is still alive and well and would rebound back even better in a shadier spot. Seems like such a waste.
Love the new look in the planter. Why don't you just paint the door a dark color till you replace it. The darker color will hide dirt from the dogs. Everything looks so classy.
The stone planter is beautiful as well as the plant combination! What a killer deal on the Eugenia. She is fairly thirsty and loves the sun but needs to be over wintered if it gets cold. Stunning! Love it❤
I just bought 3 Eugenia topiaries & superbena white flowers to ring around the bottom for good price at Menards here in OH. The superbenas were looking leggy & dry when I bought them. Trimmed & watered them, & they are looking good again. Will have to bring the topiaries inside here for winter as they aren’t hardy in my zone, which is a little bit of a pain.
Looks fantastic....I fell in live with topiary a few years ago watching Linda Vater. I think the one you bought is something she grows as a topiary. I can't grow that variety here in my Zone 5b Utah. So I am limited on topiary and what will survive our brutal winters. But I live them especially with a white back drop. I too have the dirty white door. Except not by dogs but by my cat named physco. Who thinks she is a sheep dog...she paws at the door when she wants in. She herds me like I am the sheep and she is the sheep herder dog. LOL
Love how the planter turned out with the replanting. Beautiful.
Huge difference, beautiful prefect placement!
Fits perfect between the door and window!

I totally agree. I lose interest in that I find unattainable for myself.
Wow that topiary implanter with the flowers is beautiful

And if you have thousands at yr fingertips, go ahead . But I have enjoyed a “ Real” person in Robbie
Absolutely perfect!! Love it❤
Beautiful container, perfect choice of plants for that space 🪴👒🪴
Beautiful. Love the planter shape.

Turned out really nice.
Wow! Beautiful!
That topiary looks perfect there and I love the planter! 🇨🇦👏🌸
That is so pretty! You have a wonderful imagination to be able to know which plants / flowers go together to make an amazing flower pot / container!!
Robbie, that looks perfect next to the door! So pretty!!! You got a good deal on that topiary!❤
I love the refreshed planting at your back door. The topiary gives such great vertical interest! Way to go!
That looks gorgeous!
I live in Northern Indiana, and my magnolia is getting a second flush of blooms. Love your new 🪴!
Gorgeous!❤🌻
Beautiful vertical interest and the price that plant is free.
Robbie, you plant the best combinations. Just love this planting.❤❤
Your container looks beautiful!!!!!
Whoa, I want 2 or 3 of those topiaries, a steal!
Love it!❤❤❤

Perfect planting for that spot! Love the height and color ❤
Gorgeous!
2 of my favorites Robbie, first plant math and second ball topiaries❤ great video!

Love it!!!!
I love your yard it really has changed so much ❤
Love the planter redo. That topiary is perfect in that spot. I love me some garden math❤😊.
Love the planter, I would maybe white wash the terracotta pot next to it and plant the purple salvia in it or some of the white flowers.
Robbie, you nailed it with this find. Looks great.
Robbie - I have that magnolia planted in my zone 7 b yard in North Carolina, and mine blooms from spring until fall. So not just two flushes, but flushes throughout the growing season!
So pretty❤
Gorgeous
Gorgeous ❤
The height is a lot better with the topiary. I like the suggestion someone had about painting the door black.
Whatttt! Great deal 👍🏽
When you trying to pull the topiary out I reached for the screen to hold the pot for you!😂 looks great.
That’s beautiful. Perfect height in the spot.
Love the planter . Love the combo. Didn't think you were going to get it all in but never fear, you did!
Love that you care about the prices. So many gardening channels do not

Love it. I have 4 Eugenia trees. They do wonderful in my Florida 9b zone, just require lots of water.
Robbie, a perfect addition by your front door...love it!!! ♥
Looks beautiful, Robbie! I wanted to suggest that you paint that door the green that you’ve used other places. I think it would be a nice pop of color and would tie in everything else. Have a great day!❤
Yes that would look nice painting the door that lovely green .
Beautiful container and perfect placement!
You did a beautiful job, it looks great ❤
Beautiful and it’s in the perfect spot❤
I always feel so bad throwing out plants but you are right it’s the cycle of life in the 🪴 garden. The repotting looks very pretty. Have a wonderful day. 🌺🌼🍄😎

Re-do on planter turned out beautiful

Looks so great! Have you guys ever thought about getting a screen door for your backdoor?
All the refresh looks great. Love the vertical interest in that space😊
Hi Robbie!
What a pretty planter!
Love it is such a nice refresh 🌸🌿
Love the new look in the planter. Why don't you just paint the door a dark color till you replace it. The darker color will hide dirt from the dogs. Everything looks so classy.
A darker shade of the green you have used on your house and in your garden would look good:)
Omg I love the topiary planter❤ perfect place for it.
Love the new planter. I love topiaries of all kinds.
The stone planter is beautiful as well as the plant combination! What a killer deal on the Eugenia. She is fairly thirsty and loves the sun but needs to be over wintered if it gets cold. Stunning! Love it❤
Robbie, planter with topiary looks amazing!
What if you painted the back door your favourite green? It might not show the dog dirt as much.
That looks great! What a bargain .... that makes it even more fun to have.
I love the new planter all refreshed! Fantastic job Robbie ❤
Beautiful planter!
Morning, love the planter. ☕
The vertical interest is so much better AND the salvia was a great pop of color that is the icing on the cake ❤
I have several Eugenia topiaries. They do very well here in Florida zone 9. Good buy.
I,love,how,that,look,,get,one,more,,make,it,a,pair,
So lovely!

My magnolia had a second bloom too and I completely missed it. I just saw it yesterday with a whole bunch of dead flowers! Ooops.
Looks great, just clean the back door and add a wreath and you are good to go!
