Have you used a Reef Octopus Protein Skimmer? Their 5-Star Reviews are exactly why we use quite a few of them around the office! ➡ The entire Reef Octopus Skimmer line! : brs.li/BRS_ReefOcto_DCSkimmer
Have the 110SSS for almost a year. Took a while for it to become a stable skimmer without overflowing but now has been pulling really good a consistent skimate. Good skimmer
Man! Good fair review on that skimmer honestly. They are a workhorse for their size. Even on a larger tank they will CONSTANTLY be pulling junk out. Let’s say 90 gallons not heavily stocked but decent stocked 🤙
I have one on my 150 flowr. I find you have to keep your water level absolutely stable, any drop or increase of a few centimetres will throw the entire thing off. So I have to leave it skimming wet so it at least stays skimming.
I have mine on my 125 gallon and this is my first saltwater aquarium. I'm trying to tune mine but it's been running for only 15 days. Please do a video on how to tune this specific skimmer I would really appreciate it. Thanks
It looks like that sump's skimmer chamber is 6" x 9.5", so you'll definitely need something compact. You may want to check out some of the Bubble Magus Z series skimmers as it will save you A LOT of room! www.bulkreefsupply.com/protein-skimmers/internal-protein-skimmers/bubble-magus.html
We didn't take a db reading on them, but as far as AC pump driven skimmers go, they're among the most quiet available. Mostly thanks to the relatively small pump
Patrick Jones bruh the skimmer is amazing tbh reef octopus is by far the best skimmer company out there Nyos tied with it in terms of how good the skimmer is (quality, construction, efficiency, effectiveness etc.) But isn't as popular as RO because of the high price (the high price makes sense tho cuz Nyos uses top quality materials and precision engineering but not many ppl care)

Hello I bought this skimmer last year
And this skimmer is the best skimmer for super easy to clean five star
This skimmer fits in my trigger crystal 18 cube sump like a glove, and I'm looking forward to getting it working in my first saltwater aquarium.

This guy is so handsome ! I watch this videos just for him
This is my skimmer works awesome
Merci pour ta vidéo !!!👍👍👍
Thinking of getting a 110SSS for my 40 breeder that I'm setting up. Do you think the 110 will cut it for a mixed reef setup?
Yep! The 110 is a great choice for a 40 gallon display that is on the heavily stocked side of things.
I'm looking for a skimmer where I can connect the output of the skimmer to another sump via pvc for further filtering. Is this it?
Hmm...You may want to look into external skimmers as they can be plumbed outside of the sump entirely, giving you some extra flexibility.
@@BRStv thanks
What would you suggest for a 40 gallon tank.. medium stocked tank the sump is a Eshopps RS75.
thanks.

@@BRStv Thanks for the reply... mighty good of you! I will look into those units!
what's the difference between the classic and the essence?
Form factor is a big difference. Aside from that, the Essence has a smaller neck size and also a slightly smaller pump.
Great skimmer but removing the collection cup is not so easy!!
Get a Aquamaxx instead!!!
How quiet are these skimmers?

As the comments below say. Its just another Mini Bubble King clone, but lacks its quality and stability. RO should test their skimmers before release.

No skimmer cup drain. No thank you. Reef Octopus makes great skimmers, Best bang for the buck still Bubble Magus (which you don't carry).
