Just subscribed! I recently got two contracts completely RANDOMLY. Producers approached me. Didn’t know synch contracts even existed, didn’t know I could make money with just piano instrumental music... Now I’m looking to see how I can do this more often. This would be a nice dream job. Looking forward to learning from you
J....keep in mind it's REALLY important you KNOW what you're signing in this biz. Make sure you understand it all. I know TOO many ppl who signed stuff they shouldn't have.
If you plan on working directly with US Libraries, it might be advised to join ASCAP/BMI. Call GEMA and ask them what their policy is for joining the US PROs.
@@SyncMyMusic cool. right now I am mixing a song for my first time and I was planing on sending my mixed song to a company for them to master it and I was wandering if I had to respect the proper or accepted loudness before sending it to them or do you think it is up them fo fix the perfect loudness part? thank you so much

This is nothing but God, I really just scrolled on your page. I'm a upcoming artist. But i have been putting in work for 7 years now. My question is I'm a singer and Songwriter, I have no skills in making beats. But I have experience in vocal producing and writing songs and Logic Pro x. So will I be able to place my music? I also live in the I.E and im in desperate need of a producer. Maybe we can link up.
I have a Music Library Directory syncmymusic.com/musicdirectory & Sync Edge (My personal Library Recommendations) syncedge.me . I don't currently offer 1 on 1 consultations.
@@SyncMyMusic in a video you said you need to research who you work with and not just throw your music out aimlessly to make sure your clients are moving your music to clients proactively and not not just shelving your music in a cattle call catalog
@@juanimewu1425 Correct. You can either research the Libraries for yourself in my Music Directory (or through your own search) or you can get that research done for you through Sync Edge.
@@SyncMyMusic so what do you suggest every producer should know about a client before they work with them or do you have some kind of video or course covering this already
Hey Jesse, definitely going to join Syndicate in the future but had a great question for you that some artist are also wondering. If you are an artist that leased a beat but doesnt have exclusive rights (but the contract says x amount of streams, video, etc) to the beat, if you get a placement for tv etc. can they try and take part of that money that you earn from this placement? Thanks, Mic
In general, Libraries won't want tracks from you that you've already leased out. I would create NEW tracks that are specifically pitched to TV/Film Libraries - you'll just avoid that issue altogether.
Great content, had some placements myself and then it just stopped now I know why :O) What are your thoughts about Sync Agents been pitched by a few but they seem questionable
I've come around to Sync Agents - I think the right one would be great for an artist or band that doesn't necessary want to focus 100% on Sync Licensing. I'm actually creating a new free course right now w/ Mark of Sync Summit to show an artist exactly how to work with the right kind of Agent.
You're 100% right. My bias probably comes from my college days when Fruity Loops was the "free" DAW option. I know it's a much more advanced program now.

Do i need to be with ascap or BMI if I’m already with the GEMA in Europe?

how have you been. I wanted to know if it is a good thing to use saturation on both vocal and instrumental mixes please. thank you
It can be useful as long as it helps make your track feel more complete.

Can somebody from India also become a member of BMI or ASCAP or does that have to be specific for every country?
Yes you can become a member from BMI or ASCAP from wherever you're from in the world.

I went with Distrokid for my classical compositions and soundcloud repost for my electronic tracks (trying it out).
