Only hit the 1080 once, so did my friend. But I remember getting a high score that would have made it on a n64 magazine which had high scores for games
TvLandZombie I rember too ! Took me a min to learn the 1080 move lol holy shot this is throw back im fuxkin 31 years old now . This was one of my first n64 games ever !!!
I love this game! I played too much in the 2000s. The 1080º launch was announced on November 21, 1997 at the Nintendo SpaceWorld exhibition fair; until then the game's title was Vertical Edge Snowboarding. Before the game was released, journalists were able to play 1080º at the Nintendo Gamer's Summit in January 1998. 1080º was programmed by the English Giles Goddard and Colin Reed, developed and published by Nintendo, and produced by Shigeru Miyamoto. Goddard and Reed had previously programmed Wave Race 64, which sold over a million copies and was a huge commercial success. Its sequel, Wave Race: Blue Storm, featured characters from 1080º. While developing 1080º, Goddard and Reed used a technique called "skinning" to eliminate the joints between the polygons that made up the characters. His schedule used a combination of standard animation and inverse kinematics, causing the characters to change their appearance during collisions based on what the character collided with, in which direction it collided, and how fast it was when the collision occurred. Tommy Hilfiger's clothes and Lamar's surfboards appear throughout 1080º as corporate marketing. The 1080º soundtrack, with "techno and rappy beats" with "despicable and disheveled vocals" was composed by Kenta Nagata, who also composed songs for Mario Kart 64 and other Nintendo games Game review: http: //wisegamer.net/1080-snowboard-nintendo-64/
@GameplayTrailers I can do all tricks, but still i have a hard time pulling out the 1080, i will break my controller stick :( gimme a tip, cause i've pulled it out, but just few times, some say that you have to tap every turn the R button, but i get most of times either 900º, or 720º lien air :/
you know, it was because of this game that I always thought halfpipes were square-shaped like this one. all circular ones seemed wrong to me for the longest time.
I remember having a record of 98.000 on Half Pipe. It took me years to figure out i had to do as much combos as possible. Each day I'd get a new record. Too bad I don't have the console anymore...
It's funny to watch the animation in this game. Actual judges would score all those 1080s pretty low 'cuz the characters aren't grabbing the board. A 720 stalefish in the halfpipe would probably be worth more in real life
Yeah man, luckily I had like 4 of them stashed away at some point. I recently got it out again. I sold all my games a long time ago...but I've been looking for 1080 and Goldeneye. Yesterday I went into a pawn shop, and found 1080...and the guy GAVE it to me. At first he said "$3" and then was just like, "Never mind...you can have it."
This comment was posted 10 years ago. I wonder how much glue you have huffed since then and if you are still alive? I'm guessing when you commented this you were on some type of drugs for sure
haha i remember doing this back in like grade 3 or 4 when me and my brother had competitions. He got like 10000 one time and i beat it so he kicked the shit out me.
WTF 8000 (!!) Combo bonus?! I didn't thought there is a higher bonus than 5000^^ WOW, respect! My record is 32.443 2nd place around 26.900 And I've never done an 1080°... the best war 720° xD
My highest score when i still played this game was like 98265, but i used tricks the most. I shall put my N64 back on the TV to see if i can still hold right the controller! :))
"This video may contain spoilers"
Yes. Because 1080 Snowboarding is known for its expansive story and plot twists.

Oh shit, now I know about the twist ending to the critically acclaimed story that is 1080° Snowboarding.
Plot twist: it involves a snowboard??
That triumphant moment when you pulled off your first 1080.

Only hit the 1080 once, so did my friend. But I remember getting a high score that would have made it on a n64 magazine which had high scores for games
I remember the first time I did a 1080. So satisfying. I still have the original game and console too.
I agree. It was the closest thing to real snowboarding
I only ever landed 1... Requires a heap of button bashing an stick wriggling
TvLandZombie I rember too ! Took me a min to learn the 1080 move lol holy shot this is throw back im fuxkin 31 years old now . This was one of my first n64 games ever !!!
You mean a 360-720-Lien Air.

brings back good memories...
I use to jam this in the good old days of the late 90's, such a fun time. And then the year 2000's came..
LOL at 2:58, when he spins a 1080 on the ground! wasn't so realistic game after all!
I think my high score is double this. 24ish kn big air. Winterbourne for life
@GameplayTrailers I can do all tricks, but still i have a hard time pulling out the 1080, i will break my controller stick :( gimme a tip, cause i've pulled it out, but just few times, some say that you have to tap every turn the R button, but i get most of times either 900º, or 720º lien air :/
Used to 1080 in both directions with a lien air in-between
This is the first time that I've ever seen the actual 1080 trick done. All my controllers fail too much to even try to attempt it.
you know, it was because of this game that I always thought halfpipes were square-shaped like this one. all circular ones seemed wrong to me for the longest time.

My score was over 500k
So what were u doing then ?
We used to play this while snorting cocaine all night.
I use to play this game a lot. Just for this mode. I made so much point.
man, this brings back good memories. makes me mad that i sold my n64 for a friggin ps2.
theres actually a 13000 bonus too! you can get it with tricks like 1080's mixed with other tricks
You need to do five tricks in the air to get that bonus
WOOOO Kensuke Kimachi!
It's funny to watch the animation in this game. Actual judges would score all those 1080s pretty low 'cuz the characters aren't grabbing the board. A 720 stalefish in the halfpipe would probably be worth more in real life
my highest score in this game was 124000, all jumps scored between 8000 and 12000 combo to be exact. I miss when games were fun like this
@iscRayfi
lol keep at it mate ull get there, hey I tried for 2 hours to get a 1080 again!
1080(スティック1回転+R、1回転+R+B、1回転+R+B+Zを連続で)がなかなか決められなかった。
can you do 'panda tweak, etc in this game ?
I was like, spoilers? This game came out like 15 years ago lol

Didn’t know a 1080 was possible

I can't even do a 540.
This game is not how I remember it 20 years ago.😅😅😅
Nunca consegui fazer 1080°
Lol I remember this game I have all of them and use emulators
That isn't true at all. The 720 requires the B, 900 requires the B...the 1080 is the only spin that requires the Z button.
1080° @ 0:51 from no speed at all
1080 aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhh
