- Solo wild camping trip out for a peaceful overnight stay high up in the mountains.
Decided to have a trip to complete the summit of another mountain top I have been meaning to revisit for a long time. Nice to be out on my own to relax and just enjoy the amazing scenery and views that this area has to offer.
Mountain - Stob Ghabhar (1090m)

Ray puts a lot of effort into his film's so that we can all sit at home enjoying what these mountains have to offer .Give him a thumbs up and subscribe.
Good to bump into you Ray and good to see you summit. You certainly got far better light than we did. Thanks for sharing. Jim
The most beautiful landscapes. Thanks for the video.
Great to be here! Lot of love and respect from a solo mountain hiker from Chitral Pakistan!
Nice night away Ray. I was up there in 60mph gusts on a friend's Munro completion and the first time stuck in the clag, so it was good to see the views I missed. 😁
Yep it is a nice spot if the views play ball. Atb
Looks cracking mate 👍 been getting more and more into wild camping and recently took some friends and my brother out up Glen Lyon at the weekend for a camp. Got caught in a rain shower from the heavens! Fair to say that they werent best pleased with their first experience 😂
Another fantastic video. Wonderful scenery. Keep them coming please.
Thanks, will do!
Just back from that neck of the woods with an old friend. First night at Clashgour Hut at the foot of Stob Ghabhar then down Glen Kinglass on the bikes to bag another bothy. Final night spent getting wazzered in Tyndrum.
Nice one mate and good to here you back out and about. Atb
@@RS.Outdoors I haven't stopped. I've just not been filming it.

Can't believe how still it is! Great stuff as usual Ray!
It was a great night and shame about the morning. Atb
Thanks Ray, great video with stunning views.
Thanks 👍
Great video as always Ray.. enjoyed that. 👍
👍
Gorgeous evening in a stunning location, im biased a bit 🙂 I absolutely love the area. Re meals for CW, im planning on doing it next year & I've just bought a decent food dehydrator to spend winter hikes experimenting with home made pack meals that will not only taste decent but have way more variety to them while being calorie balanced or at least that's the hope 🤣 there's only so many chicken curries and beef hotpots you can handle on a multi week
I tell you what Ray. That sunrise Timelapse looked like something out of Lord of the Rings. Spectacular mate - and looked an excellent trip. Keep them coming 👍👍. Dave NBN
Thanks 👍
Another great video Ray, regarding the rum, the stronger the better lol
Thanks 👍
G,day from Sydney Australia.
Sand flies (migi) try some rubbing alcohol or 80% ethanol hand sanitizer on the effected area.

Thanks, but this is Scottish Midge in summer. ruclips.net/video/WzUlj6eTehA/видео.html
Thanks Ray, your videos are great
Thank you. Atb
Stunning filming, don’t know if you did something different with this one, couldn’t believe those skies, looked like a painting , loved this one… cheers again Ray… ATB 👍
I mean awesome Ray!👊When you described the slither of sunlight! I did the 3 sisters last week! Took all my gear up, but too bad weather! Your right about under foot and rucksacks! Learning all the time from you! Big thanks!
Thanks Alan, Atb.

Atb 👍🏽
Thanks Dave. Atb
I love how you frame every shot, Ray. Just stunning. Thanks. 🙂👍🏴
Wow amazing beautifu
Outstanding Photography. I've just watched this video in 4K - Wonderful, thanks for sharing it with us. A question about the wee biting insects... have you or any of your subscribers used or heard of this stuff - Wilma Naturprodukter Nordic Summer Paste? As I get older I find I get bitten more often...
Haven't heard of it but we use something called 'Smidge' which works really well. To be honest i try and avoid going out at this time of year unless windy due to the Scottish midgies. Atb
Wow, Ray. What a dramatic sky! Excellent video again.
If only id didn't have my brother up, that view is a stoater, and the falls look great too. Everyones videos this week now co starring the midges I see, think I'll chuck it till October :-)
Yeh, the wee blighters starting to come out in force :)
Brilliant video and photography Ray! Have you got a favourite mountain to camp on?
Thanks Sgur na Stri on Skye. Atb
This is going to be a banger, your content is top notch never disappointed 🙂👍
Cheers. Not a long one this as had audio problems, grrr. Maybe a good thing though, less talking :) Atb
Another fantastic video! Stunning views, what a amazing spot for a wild camp.
Awesome video. There is just something about the highlands. I’ve been to the Alps, Yosemite and driven across the Sierra Nevada range but the Highlands are just something else. It’s my dream to live there one day. It’s fantastic that you make the most of the beautiful country you live in. It’s easy to overlook what’s on your door step.
Thanks and hope you get the chance to come over. Atb
Stunning scenery Ray you always pick some fantastic views 💪💪👍🏴
Just been lucky recently. Atb
Cracking video as always Ray and what a stunning view when you climbed up to the top your ribz pack what size is it I've been trying to find one but no joy in England might have to look at getting one for the USA atvb Jimmy 😎😎👍👍
beautiful light and tones...
Brilliant watch ! Excellent video as per usual Ray 👏🏻🥾
Thanks Greig. Atb
Now that was a view 👌 thanks for taking us up there with you.
Stunning views Ray! Such a lovely peaceful spot. I think you got the tent down just in time!
Thank you for sharing. Till next time 👍 Take care Mark
Never rained until driving home thankfully. Atb
Great Video :-)
Thanks!
The colours and clarity on this one are amazing. You knocked the nail right on the head with your timing. Nice one. A window of escape for me stuck own here in London. All the best :-)
Thank you so much 😀
Amazing Ray. We camped over on Stob a’ Choire Odhair last Saturday. The views were great too. Planning on coming back to do this one next.
Brilliant pitch Ray, views look amazing. I spent the England/Scotland game on Kinder Scout lol. Great video, cheers.
Another nice video
What was the new MSR for ? Winter use only
Get some good ideas from these videos as I have plan a visit
Keep em coming
Yes the MSR is just for winter trips and photography. Atb
Hi Ray another excellent video. Which poles are you using with your Notch Li. Thanks Kevin
Great vid.Stunning views!

Hi Ray top class m8
Glad you enjoyed it. Atb
Absolutely gorgeous! Midges aside, are the ticks bad?
Another topper ray , u struck gold on that one 💯 cheers 🙏
Was really lucky mate. Atb
Stunning view, the morning sky maybe wasn't what you hoped for but impressive nonetheless. Just watched while set up in a hammock/tarp. Grey, wet and windy but it was grey wet and windy at home too :-)
Enjoy your hammock. Atb
Fabulous Ray.....you mentioned doing the CWT again when are you thinking of ?
ATB
👍🏔
Not sure as depends on work but possibly September. Atb
RS Outdoors look forward to watching that, have you considered taking a pal along with you this time ?
helps when the going gets brutal .
Good for morale and mental wellbeing on such enduring adventure. Thanks Ray for all your hard work so that we all can watch from the comfort
Of our sofas.
👍🏔
Hi Ray. Any updates on your Notch Li? Could you do an update video on how it's doing for you personally? 👍
Did film one this weekend but not sure if I will put it up yet. Was maybe a bit too critical on it. Atb
@@RS.Outdoors I look forward to it.
I need to get back into this.
Good to get away from it all at times. Atb
@@RS.Outdoors It's calling me and I have to go. Thank you for your youtube site, I've never used a tent apart from once when i took the wife and forgot the poles lol. She was not a happy bunny, just had a waterproof gonk bag and poncho if icould tie it off if not, then out in the open.
More quality from rs outdoors!
Great video Ray with views over Rannoch Moor. What footwear do you use along with your ankle gaitor.
Salomons, have video all about them. Atb
@@RS.Outdoors Thank you Ray.
Hi Ray, thanks for another great video, looks very nice location for a overnighter. Can I ask what camera you use to record this trip, it was very sharp and looking good. Thanks again
Sony A6400 with Sigma 16mm f1.8 lens. Atb
@@RS.Outdoors Fantastic, you can see the quality of the camera/lens, and it make it more interesting to the viewer, but when you have to lug it up the hill compared to a smartphone, its a pain in the xxx. Thanks for getting back to me, hope you have many more great adventures.
Great stuff Ray. Out of interest, what was the rum of choice ?
Kraken. Atb
@@RS.Outdoors Good man, partial to a Kraken myself. Treat yourself to a bottle of Rum Bothy, fantastic Scottish rum 👍
were you the guy i saw at 3am at the aonach eagach car park? it was early and i wasnt quite with it !
Nope, no where near the Aonach Eagach car park. Atb
Excellent video once again Ray. Glad to have met you on your way up there last Friday just after the climbing hut. Shame about the sunrise. Onto the next one.
Thanks mate snd great to meet you on way in. Atb
Try the Bla Band food. The Indian chicken is amazing. I got let down by an expedition foods chicken and rice on a cold camp. I soaked it for more than required and was still like bullets. That was in a cosy as well.
Tried Decathlon food a few weeks ago. Not bad and very cheap but low calories.
Will give them a go. Atb
Is that the East end of the Mamores?
No, it is near the Bridge of Orchy. Atb
Hi there... what peak were you on Ray... SC
In the description. Atb
Lovely video Ray, great to see you back out again mate! ⛰🥾🏴
