Thank you for doing this . I'm really hoping that this really takes off. I think I'm really excited for that 80's type of game play. I mean storylines and characters . Being able to create the 80's style should be exciting . I know ill try to have Nes style wrestlers .
Which they are really adamant about, the creative side. Being able to re-create say wrestlers from fictional video games like Slam masters, or NES, or arcade wrestling games. They definitely want to leave you the tools to be able to do that. Within the realm of an AKI style game play.
I'm shocked at how much people seem to love chain wrestling. It's never appealed to me, but so many people go crazy for it. Like the old test of strength in the AKI games when you'd grapple at the same time was good enough for me. Mash away, and hope you win. I never liked chain wrestling in the 2k games, nor did I really think much of it in Fight Forever. But I'm happy it's coming, for fans who want it, like yourself.
I can see that some might be disappointed about only having a few match types in the beginning but I've learned from the 2k series I'm like 90% singles matches anyway so that's fine with me. Personally I love the art style. If i had to choose I'd prefer Hyper Realistic but we already have that with the 2k games. So I don't have to choose. Why not have something different and fun. Hopefully the demo comes out on time. I'm looking forward to seeing what a finished product looks like. Their passion really is showing. Passion like that leads to great games.
Demo was initially scheduled for November 2023. It got pushed back to Q3 2024. I doubt we'll have it pushed back again, but I'd rather it did, than it be rushed or unfinished. Same for the full release.
Absolutely amazing. Super stoked for this game. 10 promotions to start off with? And 40-50 men royal Rumble matches? That's how I'm going to crown my first World Champion in my Created promotion. Can't wait. Great job with this.
@@Mr_Dubbs The only one not stoked is panicman10, and I can understand why. Think back to 5 Star Wrestling. Everybody thought it was going to blow their minds... it just blew. With that said, I'll take Ultra Pro Wrestling with a pinch of salt and give Hyperfocus Games all the time they need to craft it into a masterpiece.
Awe, thanks man. I really appreciate that. I just try and make content on things I have a passion for. Lately I've been playing SF6, so I stream it and make some vids on it. I just started playing Xenoverse 2 again, so I might do a few streams playing that soon as well. I'm super hyped for UPW, so I try and cover any updates we get (aside from Patreon stuff, as we're not allowed to cover that). I just hope the game lives up to the hype, becomes a cult classic, and is a financial success. As Sam will be updating this game, constantly, post release, but, updates will take way more time, if the game doesn't sell super well. Where if it does, he can hire more people to work on those updates and push them out faster.
@Mr_Dubbs keep doing what you're doing, man. we're all here to support ya. I really think HFG is gonna deliver here. Have you ever seen such transparency in the making of a video game? It will help so much in their delivery because they are fans first, and it means something to them to give us eyes on so that we can give them vital input in this critical stage of development, hence giving us the game we really want. I have watched some of your SF stuff, and it's made me wanna dive into the series again. I spent almost all of my paper round money in the arcades playing SF2 and haven't actually really played many more from the series.
@@almarshall8009 I appreciate that. I agree that the transparency is such a breath of fresh air. They actively seek out our opinion. They have a move request section in their discord, I mean, what else could you ask for? The thing I'm most excited for is sadly years away most likely, that being the 90s DLC. As that's when we'll get a large set of newer match types, like Hell in a cell, barbed wire, light tube matches. All that sort of stuff. That and the 90s portion of the career mode itself of course. But Monday blast is going to be epic, I definitely will be grinding ranked to try and get into those title matches. As far as Street Fighter goes, I definitely think Modern controls makes it so much easier to get into the franchise. I never had problems throwing fireballs or uppercuts, but learning combo's and frame timing was something that's kept me away from other fighting games. I try them for a few weeks, get my butt kicked online, and then give them up entirely. SF6 solved this issue for me with the auto combo options, and makes it fun to try all the characters.
Except it's being done on a budget over 200x smaller. Which makes me really question what went on over at Yuke's, and if they were milking TK. As there's no excuse for how Fight Forever turned out.
I’m mostly just worried about the controls hopefully I can pick them up quickly fight forever had way different controls so hopefully the controls aren’t that difficult for me
@@ZebrasWorld controls should be identical to the AKI engine games. World Tour - No Mercy. Playing an emulator and popping in any of those games should give you a good feel of what you're in for. Yup. They will have an in game midi editor, to be able to re-create 8 bit style versions of your favourite theme's. Where you'll be able to download or upload them to community creations. They're uncertain whether or not they'll be able to do some form of Spotify integration. Or if you'll be able to use music that's already on your device. So this is their, regardless if they can figure something else out. They'll at least have this, ready to go for launch.

That's awesome man. I'm glad it's worth coming back to! 👍
Really looking forward to this game. Wonder what the max number of wrestlers we’ll get in the ring at once will be.
I'm hopeful we can get 10. More is great, but 10 is my number. Re-creating that 10 man tag from the Canadian Stampede back in 97.
25:00 Chain Wrestling, YES, YES, So much YES to that! something WWE2k still doesn't do (right). it's mind boggling.
