You always find the best games. I wasn't aware of this one, now it has to go on my wishlist :) I just recently bought little witch in the Woods and Capybara Spa, so I'm probably not getting this one now, maybe in a couple of months!
If you play on PC the first couple hours is available as a demo on Steam (and your save file will continue to the full version). It's such a charming game!
@@hodgepodge oh I saw it! I just have so many games on my list that I'm just policing myself, unfortunately after work and uni I don't have much time for games, and having a big list is just a way to sit in front of my pc and waste five minutes deciding what I want today. I'll finish a game or two, then I'll definitely buy Potion Permit
Imagine fighting bears twice your height with just a sickle 😂 and Tim is such an adorable pooch every game should have an animal pal that follows you 🚶♂️🐕
I am Canadian and have a healthy fear of bears, a sickle is definitely not going to be helpful! It’s true, animal friends that tag along are the best. I just need to make sure to get him some food soon.
This game looks like a lot of fun! I would like to pick it up but I've been hearing there are a few bugs that could really hinder game play. Haven't heard of any patches or updates yet so I've been holding off so far. But I really want to get it after watching your game play.
They keep doing small regular patches for PC (the patch notes are posted on Steam if there's a particular one that worried you) - there was only one bug I encountered but it was fixed shortly thereafter. I've really enjoyed it so far!
@@kenziehammond9091 I'm fine with the head canon of my character being out foraging when a bear attacks, and it's the bear or my character, so my character slays the bear in self defense. Poor unsuspecting little guy got attacked! By a bear! After that, though... take precautions on those foraging trips, my little dude! You know there are bears in the woods! At that point, if someone murders a bunch of bears to steal the honey they gathered up for dinner, and hacks off their paws like trophies... doesn't that sound a little... serial killer-y??
Gameplay is nice, everything is intuitive. Most games have a little setup dialogue and it doesn’t seem too bad, it supports the story without being unnecessary.

It looks like “Drawn to life” too😭
I hadn't played that but after looking it up it totally does!
Game looks super cute. Tempted to buy it
I'm excited to see past the first couple of hours, but so far I've loved it!
Timothy like your stardew horse! I always love when you talk to Timothy in Stardew. Who is Timothy named after?
Timothy is the name my son cane up with for my first Stardew horse and it’s stuck!
ohhh i got this on my want list. it looks fun.
I've been enjoying it a lot so far, everything about it is the kind of game I love!
@@hodgepodge awesome! I'm excited to get it! Unfortunately I'll have to wait until next week but that's ok!

@@hodgepodge Good to hear! Have you heard if there has been any issues or patches for the Switch version?
I haven’t heard, sorry - might want to check their twitter or discord if they run one
Me Wuz HERE
Here's a question... can you beat the game without killing and dismembering bears?
Good question - I wonder if I can avoid them for crafting because it’s just shapes.
Unfortunately I don’t think so, you need honey (dropped item) for a quest to unlock new areas

@@ghostlevelzero7446 explain this to trophy hunters
So, did this game involve a health/energy bar of some sort? I'm tuning in and out while I work, and I couldn't tell.
It does have one, yeah - I can eat things I find or from the locals, or eventually make in my kitchen.
@@hodgepodge Thanks! I saw it on a later episode and felt dumb. Don't know why I didn't see it in this one!
Oh no, always good to ask - these things aren’t always clear
@@hodgepodge That's very gracious of you.
Looks like a lot of exposition. How is the gameplay?
