In all fairness to BA, it looks like they have upped their game in terms of service and reliability. If they could just sort the arrival experience at Heathrow (waits for stands, airbridges not working, no ground crew to meet flights etc) they could be perfect. Thanks for the recommendation for Belgrade as a good city break destination- I'll look forward to your review of Air Serbia sometime soon!
Looked a good trip with your status having access to the lounges certainly made for a relaxing trip and at the same time saving a fortune going economy rather than club europe. Budapest is great for a long weekend, I've not tried your other destination yet but certainly now on the 'to go list' BA certainly seem to be getting better, still have issues but a great improvement.
I see you fly a lot. So one would assume that such a seasoned traveller wouldnt say "SAT ON THE RUNWAY FOR 45MINS". If you sat on the runway the airport would be closed. You sat on the stand ! Runway is the part where you take off and land. The area in front of the terminal is an apron which is connected to RUNWAY by TAXIWAY. So RWY is only for take off and landing.
The pilot got permission to come off the stand so that we could be fully ready to go if an earlier ATC slot came up. But yeah, we weren’t on the runway yet. I guess we were waiting on the apron?
@@charlesontravels anywhere in between apron and runway. But knowing how small NCL is it was on the stand. Yeah, you need doors closed so you are ready to depart and If earlier slot arises you get it. Typical for early flights into LHR
I will be travelling BA on an Airbus A320 in June, but it looks like there are no emergency row seats in Economy from the seat map. Can I ask you in which row you were? Thank you
It should be rows 11 & 12 on the A320, but occasionally they extend business class all the way back to these rows. I flew Club Europe last weekend in the exit row in row 11 on an a320
I’ve got a similar one soon too. We were originally booked in exit row in economy but they expanded the club cabin and we got bumped back to standard seats
You were lucky B.A gave you a lite snack on your first flight from New Castle, Jetstar you don't get anything., not even water but as they say! you get what you paid for✈
I was considering Jetstar for an upcoming trip actually, but can’t really seem to find anyone with positive things to say about them! Thinking I might just pay slightly more for a different airline!
@@charlesontravels Jetstar have a reputation for canceling flights on people, leaving passengers stranded in the most sometimes remote places where one doesn’t want to be stranded (lol)✈️

A319 does have two configurations. You got the nicer ones and they still have the overhead screens. The EX-BMI are worse

At Newcastle, if in the Luxe lounge, you get one free glass of Prosecco if travelling BA, you just have to ask for it
Good to know! Thanks!

@@charlesontravels yeah, I think that's the case for my flight, in Economy I can only select from row 13. Thank you.
