Thank you. I at least know what I'm looking at when I'm looking at codes. I'm very new at this and you broke it down into an easy to digest method.
One of the best explanations with respect to functions. The box and key metaphor helped a lot!
Loved the video, but please turn off the music and make the text larger thanks
Looks awesome mate!
Thank you Adam
Hello MexNov, Thank you for posting this informative video as I'm a neophyte to Arduino coding, let alone coding with an Arduino for Neopixel's. I'm aware this video is 8 months old and hope I might pix your mind for help in pointing me in the right direction as I begin my journey in Arduino coding. Wishing you a good day, Be Healthy and Be Safe.
By all means if you need help let me know and we can get in contact through RUclips or discord. hope you have an amazing experience.
Hi great video is it the same when using a adafruit trinket Pro? And can it be used with the button example to cycle colours?
The main part of the code yes, just need to take out the first few lines and make sure you declare it for your board. And you can add the button example and use it or make an if statement for button inputs.
Everything in the examples can be used together to make an over all out come. If you need help exactly with the coding let me know.
@@Mexnov thank you i think i learnt more in your video then the entire internet thank you for your help
Great video, thank you! I noticed you're not using maximumBrightness anywhere in the code but in the beginning, is there a reason for this? Is that a reserved keyword for the LED strip library?
So I like to declare the max brightness so I never exceed it if I want them to shine to the recommended max brightness but I tend to never use max unless you planning on using it in direct sunlight as cameras and indoors don’t benefit from it and it prolongs the lifespan of the led strip
In regards to the led library I’ll have to look it up as I can’t remember on the top of my head
Nice one bro., are you in Beijing -China ? Let me buy you a drink 🙂
Hello MexNov, thank you for posting this video. I am a beginner for the coding and having questions relating to neopixel ring about how to let color remains when button is pressed. Not sure whether you are able to point me out how to do this? I have my code, but need to add this function, but don't know where to start:( Thank you.
HI, so just to double check you want it to change colour after pressing the button or turn on and stay on then turn of when pressing the button
I am actually looking to do the same. I want to change the color of the ring when I press the button. Red> green > blue in a loop.
Hi, great video,
thanks.
I need Help!!!!!!!!
Have you ever connected more than 10 led strips to a single project with adafruit_neopixel library?
my project needs to control 12 strips, program shows no errors but only 10 strips work........
there are no issues with power or any hardware component because all 12 strips work fine when I use fastled library.
but the memory of arduino uno is not enough to run the program with fastled library. (had to reduce the number of leds per strip to run with fastled in arduino uno and the full strips work fine with fastled in arduino mega)
please help me....... 🙏🙏🙏😊😅
this is my project

I don't think it has anything to do with the memory, how long is each srip? Make sure that your power supply can provide enough current for all the pixels. The FastLED library can limit the amount of current drawn by each pixel - something the library made by Adafruit doesn't seem to have. I might be wrong though
i actually fucking love you so much with all my heart
