Thank you for watching! If you're used to a different format/stylization for our videos, we're training a new editor and are making adjustments as we go along. So we know about the white corners and we're fixing it, among other things! - Peter
So one quick thing that I wanted to mention. 2:30 specifically: The extort thing happens whenever you cast another spell, not itself, so extort is a really really good mechanic for this deck as you can trigger it on each of your turns if you want!
Note about finale of devastation: A lot of powerful Eldrazi have on-cast abilities, and finale of devastation is probably better if your top end is colored permanents such as grave titan, protean hulk, mikaeus, etc.
It's possible! We don't have any specific plans right now but next year will have more homebrew gameplays, and this is one I'm really interested in powering up and playing! - Peter
Like the deck tech you have here. One thing i have to say is Rakshasa would not be able to cast the encore portion with the Belbe's mana as it is post combat when the mana is added.
@@thisisart124 you could cast it for the encore cost with belbe's mana yet it would be after combat. You would not be able to attack with it and reap the benefits of the card.
That isn't how extort works. Extort triggers whenever you cast a spell, so Thrull Parasite doesn't extort for itself, but for each spell you cast after it hits the field.
I get what you mean by not having enough interaction, but there is a lot of deceleration (God-Pharoh's Statue) and uncontrolled removal (annihilator). They aren't perfect, but if any of these drop early enough that could potentially be enough to keep the largest threat in check pretty effectively. This is an opinion, not a declaration of fact. I just wanted to put in my input based on what I saw.
The hybrid mana (and I was surprised to find this out too) is part of the reminder text, which is not considered one of the defining characteristics of color identity. As long as the color of the card fits, Extort fits too. - Peter
@@CommandValley But that is WoTC statement right? If I look at the Rules Committee, they argue that it is both colours mtgcommander.net/index.php/faq/#hybridmana
@@auwli Extort is allowed because it is in the reminder text. Mana symbols in the reminder text do not count towards color identity. If you need further clarification you can always ask an online judge or look it up. I know it can be confusing given the current rules on hybrid mana
I reccomend not doing to many annihilator eldrazi, because it can ruin the game for the other players, since you will have 8-9 mana turn 3 and other players wont have anything else than lands wich they have to scrifice from annihilator.

He or she is doing a great job. Keep on learning and improving!
Belbe was one that I wasn't very excited about during spoiler season, but after seeing some deck lists...oh boy was I wrong about her!
Same!

Thanks for the correction, I did not know how Extort worked until now. Gotta read the card to know what it does :) - Peter
My favorite commander from the new set 😍
Golgari has always been my jam. I'm happy I pulled a Belbe from my one commander legends box i bought

Mans, your decks are very good, keep with chanel...

This is awesome! I am very interested in putting this deck together! Will you be playing this in an episode of Duel of the Peaks?

Would you recommend mana ramp options like tutors or 1 drops creatures that tap for mana

Great catch, I definitely didn’t think that far. - Peter
It would work for the encore ability correct?

@@tomgonyea2829 oh true i see now. That would be legit if it could

I didn’t understand until everyone commented about it 😊

What would you say the power level of this deck is compared to precons?
Huh... Due to hybrid mana ruling extort is not possible right?

Time to put this in my aristocrats deck. Maybe if I find a place for it
I don’t think you understand how extort works
I did not until I read the comments :) - Peter
@@CommandValley happens, nice content. Keep it up.
I was thinking the same thing as Fred, I’m glad it got figured out. Delightful content!
You have misunderstood extort

Definitely a mean strategy that you shouldn’t play without consulting your opponents, I agree. - Peter
