Hey dude thanks for the amazing videos. I have question. I'm stuck and worried about buying the Asus rog g15 advantage edition, because it's 2 years old laptop and there's newer laptop like tuf gaming's with 4070s and a 8gb vram. But as you know the Asus rog has a 12gb vram and I don't know if that vram would be a big play for it or not. Personally I wanted to go with the advantage edition but im worried that it's longitivity will run out. What do you suggest that I do? Go for the advantage edition OR a newer laptop but with less vram

I think I'd go for the 4070 at this point as it also comes with a more powerful CPU. The 5900HX in this one has been holding the 6800m back in a few games already. So long as you're not going for max quality 1440p you will probably still be okay with 8 GB of VRAM. I always assumed that the 8GB of VRAM would cripple the 3070 but the desktop version seems to beat the 6700XT most of the time. Though in most games this 6800m still beats the 3070 at most games though of course there are outlines. So I was definitely wrong about that 8 GB not being enough.
Don't get me wrong I'm still happy with the performance of this thing but it is kinda lame to not be able to hit 60 in some of these new games even at 1080p. I have a feeling those 4070s laptops would not have those issues. Plus as long as you're not maxing out games they don't use as much VRAM as we think. They may allocate a lot of Vram which is what got me thinking 8GB was not enough in the first place. But allocated VRAM is not technically being used its just what the game deems should be available in case the game thinks it needs it. Then there's the Resizable Bar/SAM which just seems to use all available VRAM.

Thanks for the reply. Btw how longer do you think the advantage edition will last? And will it run heavy games like gta vi when it comes out or not?

@@aloneman2610 It will probably play GTA 6 but it will rely on FSR and probably struggle to get 60FPS. But I have a feeling it will be 30 on the consoles even the rumored PS5 Pro. which will be much faster than this laptop (well besides the CPU on this laptop will still be faster than the pro) will still be 30FPS.
So how long it will last depends on what framerates you are looking to get out of it. If you're not an FPS snob like me you could get many more years out of this thing getting 30-40 fps on AAA titles with decent settings. But if you like getting 60 in every game it's already kinda getting too weak for that. Unless you use something like Frame Gen but that won't help much unless you already get close to 60. Otherwise, it feels like 30-40 but the FPS counter will say you are getting like 60-80 FPS.
