Today I’m going to be decluttering and organizing the master bathroom. It’s very disorganized right now and my vanity drawers are just jammed full of clutter and things that don’t belong in those drawers. So this is going to be a project to get all the clutter out abs organize the bathroom to make it much more functional.
I also have a big closet in my bathroom that I decluttered and organized about 2 years ago. The system I set up isn’t ideal for us so I’ll be doing more decluttering and organizing it to make it fit our needs 🥰
I’ll be having the wallpaper in the bathroom removed next week and the room painted so I wanted to get it prepared for that.

I absolutely love to declutter. I have truly become a person that lives a less is more lifestyle. Could be all those porcelain decor pieces that mom had when I was growing up (they traumatized me since we had to clean them all). Keep it going, so satisfying. I think that is why I watch the videos!

Hoarders are the best at making everyone around them become minimalists 😂 i say this fron experience. And it doesnt even have to be like condemned house hoarder even the early stages where there house is cluttered and they have that scarcity mindset of keep everything it might be useful and then they keep aquiring usedul things even if they dont need them making them by definition not useful.

I like the idea of using those drawer separates for where your curling iron / hair dryer. That's pretty clever and neat use of space. I agree to organize and sort how it suits your needs. I like under the sink for cleaning products, but hey....to each their own!! ❤️❤️. Love it!!

Decluttering seems to be contagious. After my boyfriend heard me talking about it so much, he asked if I could help him in his apartment. We spent an entire day and got rid of sooooooo much stuff. So awesome your daughter took it upon herself to decluttering her space.

I'm not keen on wallpaper in bathrooms but you have to admire the artistry of whoever papered the light switches and outlets!

Every switch and outlet cover was papered to match each room! The women that lived here (who I met 2 years ago and she was very nice) was very particular on how she wanted things. I had to get all new outlet covers and light switch covers for my 1/2 bath, kitchen and laundry room 🤣

I love that your daughter was inspired to declutter her room. I have tried to wear costume jewelry several times because I love the way women look with it on. I gave up on that several years ago. I wear my diamond earrings and diamond pendant necklace. I actually only take them off to clean them.

Well, I recently found your channel, so I am doing a marathon! I have been severely depressed from "the perfect storm of circumstances" health and family issues in my life. My house is in such chaos, I am having such a hard time even doing little things unless I absolutely have to. My home is tiny compared to yours, but I am finding such encouragement. Thank you!

I stumbled upon your channel and it inspired me to declutter my place. I`ve told myself that certain sections need to be clean and things gone, before I bring out the Christmas decorations. I always feel overwhelmed because I have a lot of nick nacks , so this year I have given, or put them all away and made room for my decorations.I`m also going through my over abundance of decorations and donating to my granddaughter . I love that your sweet daughter took it upon herself to clean her craft area. It warmed my heart.I have to say that you have a lot of stuff, but good thing you can perge and donate. :) Keep up the good work and I am looking forward to seeing the paint job and colors you picked.

I am so glad to see all your decluttering posts because I am working my way thru my house, too. It is helpful to see other people doing the same thing. The only jewelry I wear is my wedding ring.

I have been decluttering for quite some time. I have gotten my inspriation from various channels on RUclips. We on our third and final downsizing move. It has been a challenge getting rid of 50 years of stuff. Once you get started, you get addicted. I now find myself decluttering on a regular basis. I had to declutter every cupboard and drawer and closet in all three moves. We have downsized from 2100 sq ft to 1760, to 1680 and our final move with be between 1300 and 1400 sq ft. It is really a relief to get rid of stuff you just hang on to because you have room for it. It is a ife changing experience. As far as jewlery, I have lots of it and moved it from a large jewlery box to several small to large acrylic jewlery boxes in order to display them better. I am more inclined to wear my jewlery a more often. Have fun reorganizing and removing your wall paper and painting. I have done it several times and know how refreshing a room is after it is all done.

You could put a tension rod in the front of the bottom of your cabinet and place toilet paper or larger items in that unutilized spot where the stairs are. A tension rod or yardstick or dowel would keep the items from sliding out. I enjoy your videos, thanks for the motivation.
I took just about a week off from the computer due to decorating and a few other things so I need to majorly catch up on all your videos. This one popped up first so here I am. Donna Jean! She rocks. You're a great mom and that is proof because your daughter is following your cues without you even saying anything. So that's such a compliment to you that your daughter wants to do as you do. That makes my heart warm too! I am not a jewelry person for the most part. I have my ears pierced twice and I haven't changed the two pairs that are in my ears for a very, very long time. One is a pair from my daughter of my fav, amethyst white gold posts and then tiny gold hoops in the first holes. I clean them every now and then but do not change them at all, like ever. I do love my rings. I wear five rings that I just will not ever give up wearing. My mother's last present to me was a mother's ring with my children's birthstones that she walked quite a distance to pay on every week until she paid it off and I cherish it. I have some costume jewelry that I used to wear when I worked at a bank in the '80s but I just have it in my jewelry box, in case, but haven't worn anything like that in many, many years. I do have a necklace that my husband bought me years ago that I will wear to a special event, such as a wedding, etc. but that's not even every other year so I can't tell you the last time I wore it. Other than that not a jewelry person for sure. I'm a very practical person and always tell my family do not buy me anything non-practical. I splurge on myself if I truly want something but most of the time what I want is for the home or for someone else. Love all the organizational pieces you purchased. I found that I find a lot of organizational pieces on clearance from back to school like at Staples, and there's tons of dividers and things that are perfect for smaller spaces/drawers. But those big dividers and that lazy susan were awesome ideas. And no, not a black Friday person either. I went to Rite Aid Friday and Saturday because loved their deals. Didn't even do CVS because nothing pulled me. OMG JODI! I swear, we are sisters from other misters (and moms) LOL. I almost fell over when you said about folding the towels. I fold them the EXACT same way and will not let anyone else in the house fold them because I am so picky about that. And they have to have the "clean" end, like yours, facing outwardly, even though they're in a closet. I haven't watched any videos in almost a week and here I am watching the first one after a computer break and it amazes me no matter what video of yours I watch, I find something else that I have in common with you!! And holy crap...I have the exact same toothbrush holders in both my bathrooms. Anyway, you did an amazing transformation with those drawers and the closet. Love it Jodi! All this organizing must have released a lot of stress!…and probably made your hubby happy! I wish I had a closet in my bathroom like yours…so practical. Your house transformation is awesome! Two ideas for you: I have a basket I put the toilet paper in under my sink because they don’t fall and easier to move around and stock. Also do a quick organizing every six months so it doesn’t get messy again. Great idea that your daughter is learning this at an early age!

I so agree that what works for one person doesnt always work for everyone. My decluttering is going slowly but eventually I do one area a week. Soon I'll soon be down to just the garaged then finished. That might not be till spring when warm weather gets here in Indiana again.

Decluttering seems to be ongoing in my home! I've found (with most things), if I can't see it, I forget I have it & then don't use it. Also, in the bathroom - I keep travel size items in a bin. They're in one place when packing for a trip or if overnight guests need something.
we have a tiny vanity... like just enough room for a bar of soap on one side and a bottle of foamy soap on the other. my husband will not, nor will he ever (his words! lol) use a liquid type of soap. so we have both too. but my hubby wont budge. good luck getting yours to change!!

I use those type of acrylic containers around my house in drawers too! You can buy glue dots that you can use to secure them in place so they don’t slide when you open and close drawer and they don’t ruin your drawer paint or finish!
