If you are advising, perhaps you should understand that this matter took place several years ago and Corey likely did not have the documentation due to the substantial amount of time that has taken place since the initial hearing. Furthermore, the court was derelict in their duty to request or inquire in any way about the nature of the suspended license. In short, The court was impulsive and not thorough. To suggest that Corey should have been more thorough is placing far too much responsibility on the citizen and absolving the court.
It doesn't matter, it only goes by what's in the system. Happened to a friend of mine. Child Support didn't change his status and he had paperwork in the car, pulled over and locked up.

Ok so we need to revisit this because it turns out he has never had a validate license since 1999 and he been get state IDs the whole time!!!!! He had 2 warranty out for the same thing.
