If I was a scenarist on the show, I would have created a character from the family of the creator (number 1), like a granddaughter who hates her grandpa because he trapped her deadbeat father (his own son) into the a round of the game years ago. She investigates for years her father’s disappearance and finds out her very own grandfather sentenced him to death via this game. Hence starts her vendetta against him, but is too late because he dies in season 1. She then infiltrates the season 2 games with a false name to destroy the games from the insides. This would have made a more interesting plot 😊
I thought season 2 was great and expanded on the first season as all great sequels must. Darker unfinished ending doesn't bother me, this is basically the empire strikes back for squid games. All of your other complaints are just surface level things which do not matter.
Season 2 will never be as good as the 1st one. Season 2 is good 👍🏿. It will never be equal the hype of the first one. “It’s never as good as the first time”Season 3 will end the series so of course season 2 will end on a cliffhanger. I loved the continuation of the story, new characters and their stories. Enjoy the show for what it is.

I could say the only thing that hit me was the foul ending leaving so many things open and they should have just put it as part 1 and part 2 otherwise I dont feel like it was a waste to wait 2 years. I feel like season 3 will be the most brutal of all and I am here for it.
I dont get why people find it a flop ! Its all because its in "two parts", like finishing in a cliffanger as if the season wasn't finished and the third is just too long to wait for. Anyway, i loved Park Sung-Hoon.. i liked the crazyness with thanos.. seriously, just because we dont have an ending makes people get frustrated
Dawg, why are Netflix series ALWAYS so short? I still remember series like Supernatural having 26 episodes per season but oh no not Netflix. Are they allergic to making LONG seasons, geez.
I honestly don't miss theCW/WB 20-24 episode seasons. Almost every show boiled down to the first 2, midseason finale, and last 2 episodes having any significance to the plot, while the rest was tedious, and repetitive filler. Also, the reason shows like Supernatural were able to have those mamy episodes is due to how much cheaper they are produce. You don't get Squid Game or Stranger Things quality on theCW.
Season 2 was by no means a flop. It's still the top viewed show currently out there, and no matter how bad the criticisms are right now we all know they'll be binge-watching Season 3 when it comes out.
Don't forget the creator had more time writing the season 1 (since 2009), while for season 2, he only had 2 or 3 years for the making. Also he has stated he didn't planned a second season at first, but since it became popular, he might have been pressured to write a 2nd and 3rd season. Anyway, it was a GOOD season for me, I wanted new games and I got them so I'm satisfied.
Hmm…not sure if it truly flopped. I know people really expected a lot more, and there was some controversy here and there, but now that those who watched it are aware of how the season is split, and the finale will be coming soon this year, overall, it’s alright. This show is going to be one of those memorable series for the ages, much like a lot of highly rated HBO and FX shows are.

Netizens, the world’s cockroaches? The destroyers of careers? Who cares what they say. TOP, did his time and apologize. Lee Jin Wook was declared NOT GUILTY! Season 2 was great!
I'm glad I am not the only one who thought T.O.P's acting was too unnaturally extra and really cringe. Especially with him having such similarities with the character Thanos. His scense were off putting i could have done without his character all together or they could have hired a real actor instead
I liked season 2 better. I was kinda bored with season 1. Ive already watched Battle Royale and Alice in Borderland which was more high intense and emotional impact for me. I like season 2 because its less focused on the games and more of an actual plan takedown . They should have done something different the detectives story though. It feels like all he did was pointless and hes back at step one doing the same thing he did last season
Oh lord I need to rant on this. Sorry for the thesis I'm about to write. Season 2 was an absolute hit, and every "complaint" can easily be explained. -Netflix not announcing season two and three was one season split up into two parts was the main reason that this was considered a disappointment. Giving us a heads up would have made the ending much more bearable. -Thanos' over the "top" obnoxious acting was distracting. I couldn't stand him the first time, but he did play a tweeker pretty well. Watching a second time he was more entertaining and less annoying. -The amount of players with connections was addressed in the first episode when the loan shark said many of his debtors have gone missing. Which would explain they were in the same area with higher chances of knowing someone. Gi-Hun's friend used the same loan shark. - People complaining about the first two episodes being too long and not on the island have to understand they were need to explain what happened after season one ended and how they get back to the island. Also, seeing the psycho side of the Recruiter was an unexpected bonus. -Saying a second season wasn't needed or a let down is ridiculous. After the first season came out, there was a huge demand for a second season. Having both the second and third season written within 2 years and being the #1 most watched show disproves those statements. -The cop on the boat did feel unnecessary and boring, However I think he was put in every episode so the viewers don't forget about him. (Game of Thrones fans will remember the joke about the theory of the character Genry rowing a boat for 3 seasons) -All Netizens' "Controversies" should be completely ignored. Korean and International netizens blow everything out of proportion and don't understand that this show was made for both Korean and International fans. Both have many opposing culturally and socially accepted views. Korean netizens are conservative to the point that cancel culture is practically an Olympic sport, and tend to boycott any celebrity over incidences, whether they be real or just rumors, that seem incidental to the international community. Also, International fans put so much emphasis on inclusiveness, don't understand that Korea's entertainment industry is also conservative and not as LGBT forward. So finding a Korean trans actor is nearly impossible. Even playing a gay or trans character can ruin an actor's career. -That being said, I really enjoyed this season and can't wait for the next one. Thankfully we get it later this years and not have to wait 3 more years.
It’s NOT a flop. Such an exaggeration. Worlwide audiences enjoyed it. I think a lot of korean netizens are expecting the same hype as season 1. The novelty has died down but the squid game series is still a good quality series. Korean netizens just are too much
NOT a flop! Once again, sanctimonious pearl clutchers are bloody annoying with their cancel culture. TOP was supposed to be cringe, it's his role and he did a very good job! The scene of Russian roulette in Ep1 was mind-blowing (no pun intended) and The Front Man being part of the game was genius, so I personally was NOT disappointed and looking forward to S3! I take it all the negative nellies out there aren't watching American movies anymore because there, ALL of them are corrupted to the core!
It didn't flopped but it was definitely not on season 1 level. Season 1 was really emotional and every scene was great. This one had a lot of unnecessary scenes and you could see whats gonna happen from a mile away. Like nothing was unexpected. The characters that seemed interesting became forgotten like the dynamic between the dad and the square girl, he just got killed for no reason. Thanos was interesting and they killed him for an uninteresting crypto scammer. Thanos's friend who killed that one girl by stabbing her in the neck was bland and one dimensional. The only character that I actually do care about other than Gi Hun was Gi Hun's friend who got killed in the final episode. He was interesting and funny and they just killed him off. Leaving us with a scared fake soldier, a grandma and her son that are kinda boring, a trans person with the most basic ass personality and story and some old dude. Also many characters were stupid af. In s1 voting made sense because we had a whole episode showing why they came back to the game. Here it just doesm't make any sense its like one side is cheering. In s1 people voted to stay but were still sad about it. In s1 there were yakuza thugs so it made sense that they didn't care about killing people, here people just killed so easily. Also, why didn't Gi Hun's friend tell on gamemaster after he snapped dude's neck? Another reason why s2 was kinda bad is that the whole search team stuff was completely useless and stupid and it was obvious that the captain of the ship was a bad guy, but it was foreshadowed kinda badly. But that whole part with the search team was just stupid. And also the voting oarts were so dragged out and were easily skippable for the most.
I think she's focusing towards how many koreans and netizens feel about the show and casting. Especially since in the US you probably wouldn't have known who Lee Jin Wook is and the controversy. Maybe it didn't do that well in Korea. (this is a guess I am not Korean nor do I live there.) Also many South Korean people are mad that the show casted a straight male actor as a transgender woman. Tbh I liked the show but some of my friends didn't. (see? split opinions. just cause you like it doesn't mean everyone else likes it.) I mean also the ending. Big cliffhanger and now we have to wait like another 3 years until the next season.
Korean audience is very smart They are not blindly followers of celebrities just like indians We indians always forgive dirtiest sins of many bollywood actors
Spoiler alert: I might be weird, but I hate Squid Game Season 2. The plot doesn't make any sense, and the main character drives me mad. (No offense, but) the MC is ridiculously dumb. He acts like a 12-year-old boy-so naive, thinking everyone needs to survive and that he has to stop the game all the time. Like, seriously, when you're desperate, drowning in debt, it's a do-or-die situation. What's the point of going back to the real world just to be chased by debt collectors again? How old is he, anyway? He should understand by now that these people need the money. It's not just about surviving with no cash-he can't help them, so he should just stay out of it. And then he asks people to help him attack the guards? Like, what the hell? He knows there are hundreds of guards, in the middle of a killing war between X and O, and he still drags a few people to fight against them 😭🤣🤣. I just can't with this. Imagine you're there, risking your life for money, and this weird MC asks you to throw your life away attacking the guards for no reason. Lmao, what's with this plot??
Same!! yea, I really thought season 2 was just written poorly. I think it suffers from the fact it's very obvious plot armor that certain characters have. For example, no matter what happens to the main character, he's not going to die, same for the main bad guy, the pregnant girl, and the trans (because, we can't kill trans people on tv). And the whole voting process was there for no reason because it adds no suspense at all, it's obvious to the viewer that they are going to continue because otherwise the show ends. Same with the contestants beating the game with 1 second remaining on the clock, give it a rest, it's used at least 4 times from what I can remember. And you're right, the entire premise is that all the contestants need money and THAT IS WHY THEY PLAY. But then you have the main character say "Nah we got to end this game, and attack the masked people". And instead of everybody saying, "Nah we need the money, lets vote or keep going". They do it?.. they agree to attack because?... "Nah forget about the money let's just use our infinite bullets to shoot at masked people"?
Oh and then you have that "MaRiNe" "SoLdIeR" guy. That holds his gun over his head, spraying all his bullets. And another guy has to remind him not to do that because he will run out of bullets. 🙄
Lee Jin Wook was never convicted for SA due to lack of evidence, yet people still want him cancelled and his career ruined? That’s insane. I guess for K-netizens, men are automatically guilty even when proven innocent.

how is this a flop??
I loved it even more than the first.
it is not a flop wdym, it is perfect like season 1
your video flopped 😂 not squid game 2 😂🎉
I agree
It flopped?!? Girl bye.
JUST WAIT until the next season is out (in like June btw), but this show is a banger.
Tbh it wasnt as good as the first but still pretty good. Tbh it needed more episodes, feels liek s3 was supposed to be in season 2
Dear, it's not a flop 😅
I don't know but i like this season more than the previous one
Man it was better than season 1
Lee Jin Wook was never convicted for SA due to lack of evidence, yet people still want him cancelled and his career ruined? That’s insane. I guess for K-netizens, men are automatically guilty even when proven innocent.
really?? theres no evidence??
@@aespa4genleaders584
Where is the evidence
The only thing I found was that he drank champagne with her in some club and he went to his home. ¯\_ಠ_ಠ_/¯
It's not a flop because I still enjoyed squid game season 2 alot and great video MISS-K-DRAMA :]

It absolutely didn't. It's incredible!!
What are you talking about?!!
top was funny as hell
The controversies might be relevant to the ever outraged K netizens, but not to the rest of the international audience. The stats prove the popularity, but I suppose this is mainly to get some attention.
Koreans doesnt like seeing themselves in the likes of this kind of this series. 🤷♀️
It's not a flop
It’s not a flop, where you getting that from?
No one but anti woke crybabies hated it. Truth is the series was better then series 1 and was simply a masterpiece despite people wanting to hate it when it really is hard to hate perfection
Squid Game 2 biggest disaster flop of the Year 2024..😂😂

I enjoyed Season 2 just as much as 1.
I LOVE SQUID GAME SEASON 2 WHAT IS DRAMA ON ABOUT?
Flop? U mean the drama that topped netflix reviews in 93 out of 93 countries? I'm sorry but you should get your resources straight. The show was amazing and some opinions from a minority of k netizens won't mmake the show a "flop" I personally loved it and can't stop rewatching it. I watched it in one sitting too.
It topped because of season 1's quality and because people binge watched it
