You're just reacting to a review instead of forming your own opinion. Jumping on an OP build without understanding its mechanics shows a lack of foresight. When the inevitable nerf hit, it's no surprise you’re struggling now. The game is built on strategy and adaptation, not relying on broken builds that get patched out. It's on you for not playing smarter.
I really feel you. I got hit by this nerf too. Its crazy. They DO need to make respecs cheaper, and even give free respecs when they nerf builds this much. It would also help if they make respecs completely free, at least for first months of EA, due to the many nerfs that will come. Regardless, I don't recommend abandoning the character. I did some changes and its fine. You can either go for spark/firewall/conductivity lightning mage (Captainlance has amazing guide if you search for it). Or you can go for frostwall/fireball combo. (various content creators use this if you search in youtube - its also very good). There are even variants of the builds that still utilize 1 or even 2 cast on freeze comets. Lots of options really. If you just trade a few exalts for 1 exalt per item, for rare items you need, with good affixes (like resistances / life / mana / mana regen etc), and/or get a better dps weapon, it becomes so much easier to finish cruel etc and get to early maps much more smoothly. Just engage with the trade system a bit, it helps so much! Good luck!
28:22 trading is great once you enter cruel, and i agree the crafting in this game is basically a gamba. so instead of spending your exalt on random things, maybe spend it on trade.
Ya that what i was thinking for the trading mostly later late game … but again if trading is better then crafting why would i spend time farming , then i think they need to adjust something perhaps way more crafting mats and orbs :)
@WexssaLoot definitely need to increase drop rate way more or they should somehow increase essence, its the only deterministic craft, early game standpoint of course.
@@pauljohnson1382as of right now, thats a solution for the players, not the developer. I spent enough exalt on crafting that i dont want to spend any more. Perhaps in endgame when we got more omen, essence etc etc then ill "craft".
I think a Baldur's Gate 3 style of respec might be good for this game. A set amount of gold (how they would determine that idk, maybe a level-specific amount) and you have every single passive point given back to you at once instead of per passive
I love how hard the trials are. They're like a seperate game and I view it like a mini rougelike. Just gotta get some item find gear, and loot everything in there, then the next time round you'll have more buffs going in they drop tons you gotta build up that big chest with dungeon gear
The 4 things I wish the game will improve on : 1.Implement any sort of deterministic crafting beside essences 2. Redo the 3rd/4th ascendancy trials.The current state it's just awful 3.Atleast 1 more portal in maps.From 6 to just 1 is way too punishing.Constant stress.. 4.Visual clarity , especially in towers.I can't see effing anything...
Not to forget this is EA, there are still 6 classes to be added, 24 asscendecies, there will be leagues that comes with new mechanic,new power, just keep giving feedback because thats what we need to do so they can twick things here and there. POE 1 has 12 years of content this game still have the 'new game smell'. The base is good, 90% of the game is fun and that is what matters.
I think the base game great, so at least its gonna have a promising future. Hopefully we get the Poe 1 crafting bench back. Also bringing back scouring and alteration orbs will at least let us make a good magic item with good affixes beforw we slam it with regals and exalts
Totally agree with the zones and map sizes. If they want to keep players playing, the players can do a map after the other and not 3 maps in 1 hour. For people like me that have a job, its very frustrating to spend so many time on a map that maybe you lose cause the single death mode haha. And the layouts can be corridors almost all of it. Just avance, the game is extremely fun, doesnt need to make you play a travel simulator.
yes most of these topics are on point, as you know I was also slapped with the sorc nerf and it felt bad as I was just about to hit maps, switched to ranger deadeye and literally been walking through the campaign and having a blast. I should be hitting maps tonight so will be interesting to see how the end game feels. We got scammed on sorc xD
freeze is still OP , just stay away fro mbroken builds and change the cast of ffreeze to curses. im currently running cast on freeze for cold resist and firewall then cast on ignite with other stuff and curse etc. eveyr skill has multiple ways to build it if you look hard enough. its awesome

Good! Hope you get the refund becasue the map sizes atm are stupid big. So much running with very little events to keep each map from feeling like a slog. The map sizes in Act 1 were short and sweet but about half way through Act 2 and 3 were dauntingly long.
Any build you guys recommend me to try eventually ?

I am loving my lightning plus cold Monk. I think it is the best melee class for sure. Have a Ranger too but like playing the monk more

but then if trading is overpower your basically penalize to play SSF for me it makes no sens

I mean i have over 300, 000 gold and im always adjusting and respecing my build. Have know clue why people say they have no gold.
