Good job on playing my piece.

Can't believe you are here listening to this piece. You hated it cause you had to play it over an over again
@@geheimpje He hates playing it but loves to listen to it when others play.
@@geheimpje that’s only partially true. He hated it more because the copyrights didn’t provide royalties in Russia where it was published and he missed out on a ton because of it. He referred to the song as “It” derisively.

Satie prefers absinthe.

Traum: I didn't know that

RASH B
@@dylantjb I know right? Shameful.
I've actually found that I play really well when I'm drunk. I sway a lot though, like the music has possessed me, and there have been more than a few crying sessions as I was practicing The Barcarolle from June, but it's always sounded pretty good. Could I ever perform like that? Hell no. My playing may be fine but I start swaying around like a madman, playing as dramatically as possible.
Actually, a drunk piano competition wouldn't be half bad.

I’m gonna be honest, I really like this interpretation. It tells the story of Rach seeing himself in the grave and panicking so much clearer than a stricter performance would. It’s beautifully ragged and hesitant and energetic and i love it.
Yeah you put it into words better than I ever could; this exact concept of hesitation was something relatively heavily used by Romantics like Chopin to draw out the exact same dramatic effect and it’s no surprise that it works like a charm here
As far as I know he composed it at his 20’s or even earlier at music classroom, and just found kinda powerful cords wich sounded (and still sound) good. He wrote about it in his article about the prelude
Woosh
I love how the vodka and the music book are casually sitting there

I know you're just some random RUclipsr, but this is seriously one of the best interpretations of this piece I've heard. The amount of time taken really brings whole new sensations out of the piece. Fantastic! The balance between the lines is also, of course, perfectly done. Seriously did not expect this when I clicked on the video! 10/10.
I really enjoy your interpretation of 2:20-2:40+. Most people I’ve heard (albeit not many) seem to draw it out but yours seems disjointed and with a little more urgency, it’s such a cool feel
Exacto, siempre he dicho que es parte de la pieza, no debe ser lenta como al principio, sino entrar en el tempo que ya trae, si no parece eterno.
Recommendation: Prelude Op. 23 No. 5 in G minor
Oh yes!
Alla Marcia the best
It’s really interesting, you can see him stumble a little with his playing which usually you don’t see with his performances. He definitely drank before this and still managed to play it, bravo.
만든 사람도 치는 사람도 졸섹시,,
The way you play is just so much better than most people I hear. This piece, for example, a lot of people play to fast and to 'rigid', if that makes sense, but you play it like a story, sometimes just slowing down a bit right before picking up the pace again. Not like a computer that just playes the notes after a fixed amount of times. I really love the way you express this piece!
Sorry I was 3 seconds late, I was explaining to ravel what melodies are

For playing piano after drinking, that is an incredibly beautiful interpretation. I wish I had that level of relaxation and clarity at the piano when I play.

One note, but the passion, the sensitivity and the expression were spotless. Loved it.
When you're so good drinking only adds emotion to the piece instead of causing an attack on the piano

I've listened to many (MANY) interpretations of that Prelude that is the only piece of Rachmaninoff that I (modestly) know how to play, and that one is still unique, and precise, which is really complex, as well as, I think, to not reproduce some excellent interpretations as Kissin and so many others which is a proof of great talent as an interpreter.

Good luck. Make sure to do slow practice with a metronome for the friska part. It works wonders.
