  • Certainly! Partitioning a hard drive in Windows 10 and Windows 11 can be done using the built-in Disk Management tool. Here are the steps:
    Open Disk Management:
    1.Press Win + X and select "Disk Management" from the menu.
    Alternatively, right-click on the Start button and choose "Disk Management."
    Locate the Drive:
    2.In the lower section of the Disk Management window, you'll see a list of all drives connected to your computer. Locate the drive you want to partition.
    Shrink the Existing Partition:
    3.Right-click on the existing partition that you want to shrink to create free space.
    Choose "Shrink Volume."
    Specify the Amount of Space:
    4.Enter the amount of space you want to shrink in megabytes (MB). This will be the size of the new partition.
    Click "Shrink."
    Create a New Partition:
    5.You will now see unallocated space. Right-click on this unallocated space.
    Choose "New Simple Volume."
    Follow the wizard to specify the size, assign a drive letter, and format the new partition.
    Complete the Wizard:
    Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the New Simple Volume Wizard.
    Once finished, you should see your new partition in File Explorer.

    List Drives:
    Type list disk to display a list of all available drives.
    Select the Drive:
    Type select disk X (replace X with the disk number of the drive you want to partition).
    Create Partition:
    Type create partition primary size=Y (replace Y with the size in MB).
    Type select partition 1 (assuming it's the only partition).
    Format the Partition:
    Type format fs=ntfs quick and press Enter.
    Assign a Drive Letter:
    Type assign letter=Z (replace Z with the desired drive letter).
    Exit Diskpart:
    Type exit and press Enter.
    Remember to replace X, Y, and Z with your specific values.
